Definitely playing like it's a trap game.

Having watched a 7th grade girls game this week, I can tell you they are still much worse than this and that should be how we torture people.

Baylor up on Virginia with 0;45 seconds to go 1st half- - - -33 - -29

Baylor came out ice cold in the second half. Down 20 to UVA and outscored 27-4 so far with about 11:30 left.

What's up with Colorado? Blew out 24th ranked Texas A&M by 28 today, and beat Tennessee by 12, but have also lost to Grambling and UMass.

Gradey sitting at #16 in ESPN's first draft rankings.

Kevin #51, Jalen #66.

Will be interesting to monitor the movement over the year

I think one thing we do know , it would take a disaster of a year for Grady NOT to go to the NBA draft after a year. - -Enjoy him while we can

Really surprised that J Wil is so low for the 1st release - -off his preformances he has had this year- - wonder what they are seeing that is causing him to be so far down. - -66 isn't even making it is it or right at the bottom

He's gotta prove he can be better than a 30% outside shooter. If he can't he's not an NBA level talent. Honestly, I don't see him sticking even if he gets drafted. Jalen skills seem more suited to the international game anyway and I think he'll end up having a nice career over in Europe.

Gonzaga? • Nov 18, 2022 03:39 AM

@dylans said in Gonzaga?:

I’d be ok for them to just add Gonzaga basketball and set the payout at an appropriate level for basketball only. As much as I hate it football drives everything and Gonzaga doesn’t have a football team so their value is considerably less.

Gonzaga's football team has been undefeated for the last 81 years, why would any conference pass on a program of that caliber?

This team is elite defensively this year. This group could end up rivaling 2008 for best defensive team Self has had.

Dook Game Thread • Nov 16, 2022 03:08 AM

Are we actually getting the Duke whistle so far?

Dook Game Thread • Nov 16, 2022 02:57 AM

Yes, you ran Harris over and that was a charge.

Dook Game Thread • Nov 16, 2022 02:54 AM

Enjoy Dick this year because he's gone after this year.

Dook Game Thread • Nov 16, 2022 02:53 AM

Refs blew that call, and of course KU goes "ball don't lie" by missing the FT.

Defense was bad, kicker sucks, Bean has some pretty dang good moments. Just didn’t see that guy. I don’t know if JD is better.

KU wins that game if JD6 is healthy and playing. He's a much better decision maker than Bean is which is why he won the job over Bean. Daniels doesn't make that pass in 4 on 1 coverage at the end of the 1st half that was anywhere from a 3 to 10 point swing in Tech's favor. He also doesn't take that strip sack that sealed the game for Tech. If Bean is our starter all year, KU has maybe 3 wins at this point. With a healthy Daniels, I'm convinced this team would be 8-2 right now with yesterday and the TCU games being KU wins instead of losses.

Oregon on the verge of losing because of a baffling decision to go for it on 4th down inside their own 35 and not getting it.

TTech Game thread • Nov 13, 2022 02:29 AM

Have to hold them to a FG here to have any chance.

TTech Game thread • Nov 13, 2022 01:29 AM

Can we upgrade the kicker this off-season? Borcila can't make anything over 40 and this seems like the 5th or 6th time he's doinked off an upright this year. Upgrading the kicker needs to be pretty high on the priority list for Leipold this off-season.

I don't know if you already have tickets for tge game in March, but looks like UT has already sold out Moody Center for the season. Looks like I'm gonna have to hope resale tickets go down because I'm probably not going to spend $200 per ticket to go to that game even though it's likely the only regular season I'll be able to make.

Defensive intensity has slacked. NDSU on pace for a 40 pt half...

Hard to keep up that level intensity with that big of a lead after a break.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 01:37 AM

Nelson needs to shave that thing off his lip.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 01:36 AM

MJ definitely has an aggressive mindset that Self will love. Also will frustrate the hell out of Self plenty with his freshmen growing pains.

I’m not sure it’s fair to have McCullar and Juan out there at the same time.

Dick's been very impressive as well with his defense. A line up of Udeh, Adams, McCullar, Dick, and Harris could shut some teams out for long stretches.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 01:19 AM

I'm assuming this team still has plenty of room to grow defensively this season as they get more used to playing with each other. This team seems like it has a chance to be the best defensive team in the country come tournament time.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 01:12 AM

Those are the 3's Harris has to make.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 01:12 AM

I wish we were playing a good team. These types of games are the worst. They ought to give the fans there a refund. Shooting 54% means nothing. Wilson scoring 17 in a half? So what. It's like a D3 team they're playing.

I'd rather one or two tune up games to before playing a really good team. And most of KU's non-confernce cupcake teams are usually still against teams projected to finish near the top of their leagues so usually a 1st round NCAA Tournament caliber of team.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 12:44 AM

Clemence seemed like he was better defensively last year.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 12:36 AM

Best case scenario at the 5 spot to me is Clemence and Udeh splitting those minutes and KJ playing the 4 spot because his rebounding deficiencies are much less important if he's next to Clemence or Udeh who are both capable rebounders.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 12:32 AM

I want to see Clemence play well because his shooting can create so much more offense for this team.

I just want to see if KJ is capable of getting more than 1 defensive rebound in a game.

KJ sure struggles to shoot

I'm going back to last year with my gripes on KJ, but I'm much less concerned with his lack of scoring at the 5 spot than I am with his lack of defensive rebounding ability at the 5 spot. He is still the worst defensive rebounding big man I've ever seen and that's going to bite KU in the ass at some point in an important situation.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 12:19 AM

Dick is a very high IQ player and that's the best part of his game.

Fargo Game Thread • Nov 11, 2022 12:17 AM

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 02:35 AM

My thoughts: Gradey Dick is a stud, McCullar will be in contention for B12 DPOY, Jalen Wilson will contend for B12 POY, Harris was tied for 2nd in shot attempts so hopefully that keeps up.

I still think KU needs to get Zach Clemence going to reach their ceiling this year, but with the way Udeh looked, I think Self and staff should look at Clemence at the 4 spot because he has the skill set to play the 4 which I think is his natural position.
