I see why Purdue was still in the KenPom top10 even with 6 losses. That’s a really good win. Sparta was playing like one of the top 3 teams in the country before today.
If Garrett would have made the shots he took inside 5 feet it’s a different game. He missed at least 5 of those. Just simple runners / floaters that he needs to capitalize on.
Self is going to play Garrett 30 minutes a game because as he said we can’t play without him. They are going to have to find a way to score with him on the floor and defenders sagging.
Vick needs to be way more aggressive than he has been. I am not sure what happened to him but he had two great takes early in the game last night and then disappeared. I really think Self needs to run plays for him early in the game to get him engaged. It shouldn’t be that way but it is with him.
Right now our half court offense is trying to force the ball to Dedric and then if that fails we take a crap shot with the clock running down.
We just don’t have the players to compete with teams who have multiple good bigs. Travis and Washington dictated and dominated the game.

Just don’t understand Q right now. That first shot he made off the bounce was pure. Then that 3 was flat and not even close. He also turned down a layup or a chance to go up strong and get fouled.

Grimes hasn't been benched because of his shot or scoring. He has seen a decrease in minutes because he does not affect the game in any way for his teammates. He never has any energy or shows positive emotion.
If Q was out there locking his guy down, and grabbing rebounds he would still be playing as much as he was. He is not. Therefore, his minutes have in needed to decrease.

@wissox the answer is no. However, there is some pretty nasty weather out that way today and worsening tonight. They cancelled classes today.
@mayjay I think Bill takes a lot of pride in competing against the top programs and Cal. It is obviously not nearly as important as a league game, but would be one hell of a road win / resume building win. I worry UK will kill KU on the glass.
I do not see anyway they win all 4 games. If I had to guess right now I would say they will go 1-3. I just do not see this team winning on the road right now. They should be able to win at Texas, but nothing they have shown this year suggest they will.
I am not sure they have the fortitude to win in Manhattan. Without a Senior leader that environment could eat them up.
Last 16 minutes were pretty good by this team. Backs were against the wall and they fought back and got the job done. Proud of that effort.
