@globaljaybird speaking of sacrifices I appreciated the Cleveland guys' locker room shrine to Jobu. This series is a great story, refreshingly no need for media fabrication. 68 years since winning it vs 108 years since winning it. Guys built from the farm up vs the misfits. I dont consider Cleveland hired guns like other teams because they were undervalued castoffs. Then you got the long shadow of Boston from yester year. Former GM vs former manager. Both doing fantastic jobs.

I did not know this song before game 6 of the NLCS, but after the game hearing 41,268 spontaneously singing it in unison gave me chills akin to watching AFH footage of the fans at the end of the 2008 NCAAM championship. Was magical.

@jaybate-1.0 respectfully disagree 100%. Bill Self is a straight shooting Midwesterner and would not be able to stomach the BS at Duke. I believe as much as he might lament the ESPN disadvantage, or being on the side of the shoeco war that is losing, he prides himself on being competitive by doing it HIS way which means representing the true mecca of basketball , just as he prides himself on recruiting good kids to fit his system, sometimes apparently over best available talent. Bill would only leave for the NBA. Imho.

I dont think MSM necessarily gives a rat's behind about the fate of these players. MSM realizes that drama sells, and more particularly in this case that redemption stories sell. And that the ideal condition that they can create in their audience is a state of churn, uncertainty, and disagreement with one another. They want polarity. Anything to avoid indifference.
