27.7%! Seems like we move up one half a percentage each day!

It is always a challenge to beat Izzo in March. I liked how we pulled away. Very impressive.
-
Scott has shown me a lot over the last few years. I'm slowly warming up to him. I've always put him in the same light as Calipari, but recently I see he is a much higher quality human. And he actually has shown abilities to develop players, something Cal can't do and has to just recruit enough talent to win.
-
I think Dwight is a much better player than Justin was. We are definitely going to need him... most likely right away against Purdue.
-
If we don't play this right, Purdue could be our toughest game for the entire tournament.... meaning... if we don't play this right, we lose. Just about every big man we have faced this year had his best game of the year against us. Now... that player is Swanigan. And they have another super tall guy, too. What I noticed about Purdue, and what has brought them this far, is their ability to execute their isos. If we don't limit Swanigan, we will just have to hope he has a bad game. The way to play him is to drive our guards right at him and use shot fakes to get him to foul us. That shouldn't be that tough to do, but we rarely have these strategies.
-
It is so hard to repeat. Everyone puts a target on your back, you have no real incentive anymore (compared to everyone else), and the pressure is unreal because you are expected to make it back to the Final Four. I watched lots of Nova ball this year, and they were a good team. Just lost to the same momentum that helped them win last year.
-
The officiating has down right sucked. I'm not just screaming about the bad calls against my bracket teams. Duke still got their help but it wasn't enough for Duke to have an 8 on 5 advantage.
-
I really wanted Underwood to stick it out. Hope they don't try to bring back Ford! That guy was horrible!
-
I just don't see it. Bill has been at KU long enough to establish his HOFr reputation. He is in line to become one of the all-time great college coaches. He would risk it all by leaving. I just don't see it. I see it being more likely that he keeps Tyler around to work him into coaching.
-
I'm more concerned with Michigan. Beilein is capable and knows how to play us. Plus... Michigan has been really hot for the past month. Oregon shouldn't be a threat.
-
I feel no sympathy for giving UNC a complete beat down.
-
Dr. J Jackson... I like that. And if he keeps scooping the ball like that, he will earn the title! Man... is he a player, or what?
-
Yes, Landen's hook has arrived! And he's solid from both sides. I see him being effective after we get a few fouls on Caleb. This really has to be the plan... to get him in foul trouble!
-
Yes... as stated above.
-
I can see it... Two B12 teams in the FF and winning it all! Maybe we have another B12 final? (B8 - OU vs KU)
-
I wanted to see WSU vs Gonzaga. I feel that WSU would have kicked their arses. It just isn't fair to always put WSU against UK.
I think all the big hype the ACC got this year hurt them. It gave all their opponents a huge chip to take advantage of.
I hear you. The SEC advanced 3 teams, just like the Big 12.

Doing it with known basketball super power South Carolina no less. All because he hurt Spradling’s feelings.
Hanging a big loss on Duke over a trivial matter... PRICELESS!
The ACC was outrageously over-ranked.
I love you, Frank Martin!
Goodbye, Duke. Don't forget to write from nowheresville!
Hahahahahaeeeee.... yeah. Who is left in the ACC besides UNC?
This is a strange year in college basketball. Up to this point, there really isn't a dominant team. And the "lower" teams are playing better and challenging everything.
Soon enough... soon enough.
What a day! We win big and Duke loses!
Thank you, Frank Martin! You are the man!
Amen to that!
As long as we rebound... we should be using our primary and secondary breaks.
Me, too!
I'm as serious as any player sitting at the poker table. Am I bluffing?
Our next game will be a tough test. We face the #1 post scorer in college basketball, Caleb Swanigan, and we've proven our low post defense is lacking.
Get ready for the Riverboat Gambler. Coach Self is about to make a play in this hand. He is going to raise the stakes and no one knows if he is bluffing or not. Might he hold two aces in the hole?
Dwight Coleby is looking like one of our hidden aces. He came through HUGE today! He did more than hold his own... he may have given us the best post defense for the game! Surely, he will continue to get some minutes. Every week going by just makes him a better player because he is starting to get his "hop" back!

Yes.... rub your eyes! We could see Doke back this year! We've already seen him dunk the ball in practice.... but we don't need him for his offense. We need his defense and his ability to give us 5 free extra fouls!
I'd like some conformation on this... I am under the opinion that some protective wear can be used, but it must first be found acceptable by the NCAA.
In the very least... I am expecting Doke's name to be mentioned this week, if for no other reason than to be part of a bluff.
I don't foresee needing Doke for any other games except this one. Swanigan's size is mostly about his girth.
Are we ready to be shocked when Bill mentions Doke's name this week?
I've been worried about the possibility of playing 3 B10 teams in a row. The bruising aspect puts us at risk of injuries. Our guys are really going to have to play with their heads and not get into any risky situation that doesn't need to happen.
Our advantage is experience and age. That plays in big during March Madness.
Once again... we showed poise down the stretch. We just keep pushing and pushing... and we don' t back down.
I wonder how many teams are left with age and experience?
I was optimistic about our game today knowing how young MSU was.
Purdue's size scares me, especially with their monster, Swanigan.
The key for us is to MAINTAIN OUR PACE, not theirs. We are so much faster than them and we need to open the game up to wear down their bigs.

@BShark that’s what they are like! Been trying to convince everyone
I remember now... you have been telling us this for a few years! Good job sticking with it.

No way they could go to an upper blue blood program!
Never really thought of that aspect, but I think you are on to something.
One down... two to go...
They have to come into our backyard now.
Sounds good to me!
I do think there is something to this.... but I think it is mostly because the players receive a huge pep rally before the game and at half to be more aggressive on both sides of the ball.
"More aggressive" on offense means driving the ball. "More aggressive" on defense means playing the ball tighter which often encourages driving. Both cases mean more driving.
And it is more than this game. We need a definite post defender for the Purdue game against the best post scorer in America!
Bravo, Dwight!
Wouldn't that be killer?
Anyone else notice that, most likely, we will have to beat 3 Big 10 teams to get into the FF?
I was thinking we had a pretty good draw in the brackets... but I'm not so sure now. We have to put down everyone but Wisconsin in the Big 10 to advance. The Big 10 is carrying a huge chip in this tourney. Meanwhile... we were hovering around the top of the rankings all year. Do we have a target on our head by Big 10 teams?
Heck, yes!
The ACC received way too much praise this year. Extremely over-ranked.
So now all those entitled teams have to actually play. Ha!
I'd love to see UNC and Duke leave early.
I still can't respect Calipari. It's like suddenly respecting Al Capone because he later ran many legit businesses he built off his crimes and murder.
The B10 was disrespected this year. Totally unfair. So those teams are carrying a chip.
Help me with terminology... a "load" is a lot bigger than a "pile", right?
If so.... then I agree!
We've got to get all over that!
I'm glad Michigan won. Maybe we can get a little revenge!
Plus... I like how we match up better.
Is there a way to vote on Naismith? It has a link on the Naismith page, but it is dead.
I still have a hard time agreeing with the logic that Marshall could go to an elite school and make his style work.
I just don't believe he can maintain the chip. That chip he carries not only is his tool in coaching both practices and games... it is a huge part of his recruiting, too. I don't think his style rubs right with McDs AAs.
WSU is the perfect school for Marshall. They have always been the school with the chip anyways. I remember back when they had Smithson and ended up on probation. I remember one of the charges related to one of their recruits, Ozell Jones (from California) who didn't own a coat and walked to school in blizzards. Someone saw him freezing and gave him an old used coat. It wasn't even a booster. That ended up being one of their violations they were crucified on.
Another thing... players at WSU are not treated like Gods. That school doesn't have the "college feel" (socially). So their players stay a lot more humble.
Wow. You think UNC and Duke would offer Marshall?
So you basically think Marshall is at the very top of college coaches?
27.2%! We are making a move!
If you have been watching carefully... it looks like the Gonzaga people made a goal to keep their vote around 1/3 of the total vote (33.3%) Their guy has stuck very closely to the same amount every time.
I bet they don't have more than a few hundred real votes. Obviously, they have someone that checks it every day and updates it with more hacked votes to get to their target.
What we really need to do is get our total about 33.3%. If we do and then suddenly, Gonzaga's numbers go even higher trying to beat us, we know 100% that they are cheating. I already know they are cheating... but this helps substantiate it.
Sure you can remove votes from the same IP. We went through this a couple years ago when we rigged the best venue vote for AFH.
I don' t know how they set up their voting, but typically, they record several data fields on these votes so they can look for corruption.
The result votes are put into a database with fields of different factors, including IP addresses. The time recording is also another field. A small script could identify those who broke the rules and separate them. Very easy to accomplish.
IP spoofing would be the best way to hack this vote. But I'm uncertain as to how often you could create unique IPs. There are only so many available through spoofing and those are from IP blocks (ranges) to make more IPs available. I know how it works (a bit) on blocking IPs, and that is often done with the entire block.
History? Yes.
OSU has football. And football is king. Hey... ISU coaches don't have to go beg for student fans to show up. That was embarrassing.
ISU fans are into it.... big time.
If I recall right... there were a lot of empty seats in Stillwater for their season-ending game with Kansas. And it was senior night! Seriously? Fans can't show up for senior night playing Kansas?
Seton Hall has a basketball team?
The first thing that pops into my head.... are there any recruits they have we could cherry pick?
I think Underwood had a problem with the overall environment of OSU. It just simply is NOT a basketball school.
I remember not too long ago when Ford was begging OSU students to attend games from their cafeteria. Just imagine that at Kansas?
Watch him during games. He is struggling... big time!
Watch this. Wright called time out.
The refs will do what they are supposed to do and will put time back on the clock. That is the right thing to do but it usually doesn't happen for teams not named "nova" or "duke."
Does Nova even have a player over 6'8"?
I can't handle that part. You have to wonder what game they are watching...
I see Nova gets the same deal Duke gets with refs. What a friggin' rip off!
It's one thing if you get a bad call here and there. This entire Nova comeback has only happened because of continual bad calls against UW.
I like HuggyBear. Sure he's a redneck. But a damn good coach, too, and his players love him to death.
My only concern is his health. It is extremely bad. Bad to the point that I'm about 90% sure he will undergo a medical procedure or two in the off-season. He has a bad ticker and I think he is diabetic and maybe more issues.
I hope he starts taking better care of himself. I'd sure hate to lose him.
I don't use IP-spoofing.... so I'm not sure about this. But using those, can you always come up with a different IP block continuously?
These tools must assign IPs they have permission to use. IPs run in blocks based on location. It just seems like you would quickly finish using that service's IP blocks quickly.
I'm just guessing since I don't use these tools.
But the script idea sounds like the right way to go!
"When it is accompanied by kicking the hell out of the person’s car, while that person is in it, the courts might take it a lot more seriously."
I'm not certain about that.
What I do know is a person with a felony record is treated different and a simple verbal threat can be a lot of trouble for that person, especially if he/she has a record showing known violence.
From what we know... Josh just doesn't fit in any bad scenarios concerning this case and the possibility of damaging his career.
This will all blow over.
I heard the same thing. I do respect Marshall for building good teams... but that doesn't mean I have to like him.
I guess Marshall never feels comfortable. He's like those little dogs that constantly pant and fidget around. He carries such a personal chip all the time, it must be hard to have normal moments with him.
I see your point. And Indiana has been irrelevant for so long now.
