I’m guessing he’ll want obj money (15mil per year) or better. Would be hard to pull that off. A restructure of Mahomes contract is always possible - but not a good idea at this point. Chris Jones getting an extension could free up cap space too. The chiefs currently have 1.1mil with Rice left to sign - $700-850k in space effectively.
I’m thinking Frank Clark could very well end up back on the team.
I rarely imbibe myself, but if Bill does regularly drink who cares? It sure doesn’t seem to be affecting his job performance, personal life, or health. His overall lifestyle is stressful and no doubt has an effect on his health. It could be a stiff drink now and again prolongs his life by reducing stress

@Bosthawk One of the very few refs who’s name I know. Refs should be invisible, but I always knew when he was calling a game. Many fan bases disliked him. Some even say he was biased for Kansas! UK fans went too far with their ire about his calls in 2017 and ended up getting sued by Higgins for harassment. Most of the ncaa is cheering right now.

@nuleafjhawk I haven’t been to the new KC airport, the old concourse was a horrible. That airport was a joke, do they have better connections now? I usually end up going to Denver or Wichita they seem to have better pricing for when/where I travel.

Miami…I’ve got nothing. Honesty if they win any championships in any sports I still just think of the beaches and debauchery. The only sports I associate with Miami is the U from back in the Jimmy Johnson days.
McCullar is a class act. I don’t know if he balances out some of the character issues on the team, but he goes a long way towards bringing me back in the fold. I’m probably in the minority, but I’d rather take a moderately less talented guy with sterling character over the stereotypical a-hole blue chipper.
I do think you can win a championship with Kevin playing 35 minutes a game.

I’m going to be honest. I’m a fan of KU not the individual players. Over time I become fans of the players and will follow their pro careers, but it’s only because of their time at KU. Kids who leave for another school no longer have any appeal, but the ones who stick it out I return the loyalty.

KJ is putting up a ridiculous amount of midrange jumpers this off-season. According to him and backed up by the laughing his teammates did when he said as much - think that kid that’s constantly dribbling down the hallway, while sitting at his desk, while laying in bed bouncing the ball off the wall. Whether it pays off is yet to be seen.

I’m curious how many more eyes Hunter Dickinson will attract to KU basketball than Zuby Ejifor? That’s all that matters - viewership. Wins help attract viewers, but if there is no continuity, who are the Jayhawks and what do they stand for? A Rent-a-win team? Hope this year is an outlier, but I’m skeptical - this feels like the new normal.

@kjayhawks I’m looking forward to KJ’s improved shot. By all accounts he’s been taking tons of jumpers this off-season. Having a dependable 15 footer makes him very hard for most post players to guard.

Udeh has so much untapped potential. All he needs is coaching. He was so raw at the beginning of the season, he was unplayable. By the end he was a contributor. In year three he would be a star- Udeh just needs an opportunity to play and some patience.

@benshawks08 I agree. Zuby has a higher floor, but lower ceiling. Bill hates mistakes, so Zuby played early. Had he not got injured, I’m not sure Udeh would’ve got any run. I’m a fan of Udeh, I think he can be a star at this level if he stays four years. Zuby can be a McCormack level player in my estimation. Good enough to win you a national title, but not to carry you there. Pdg players

He was a joy to watch at KU, we were all robbed by that back injury. What might have been?!? It was truly amazing to watch his game improve every time he touched the court during his brief college career.
7 years later Curry is probably the one you should’ve taken. LeBron is still playing at a high level. And Embiid should hopefully win his first MVP tonight!!!
Really you could not go wrong starting a franchise with one of these three guys in 2016.
