As I stated in other parts of this thread, with all that has happened to him this year here with his off the court issues whether they were right or wrong - -I just think and plus with his lack of playing time and his non development - -not necessarily Coach's fault- - but I think after the season is over he just may decide to take his game somewhere else, get a fresh start. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I still say this. -- Bottom line, does it suck that Trae didn't come? - -hell ya, kind of falls right in line with how some things have been going this year for this basketball team, with off the court issues, and all the missed targets we have missed on this year, BUT - - - bottom line, Is Trae Young a better player OR do you think he will be a better player then what Buddy is? - With that being said remind me how many times did OU beat us with the great Buddy? At the end of the day KU is going to end up just fine, let Trae play there his choice - -I feel a lot of this decision still came down to mama.

Bottom line who if I was a parent and had a kid to make that Choice - who would I rather have him play for - -not even a question - who out here thinks Lon Kruger - - is a better Coach then Self? I personally don't like our chances with either Graham OR SVI if nothing else SVI goes back to Europe and plays there, - Just not feeling it with Devonte. - - Bragg - -after all he has gone through this year, off the court issues, and lack of playing time, I just think that he maybe looks elsewhere for a fresh start. No idea if Preston has his academics cleared or not

I feel like we win at Baylor Saturday , however like you said we haven't put away teams this year, like we have in the past. - -I think in all brutal reality this team just isn't quite as strong as in past years - good & at times can be really good like as such during out comeback against WV - -bottom line is we have had TWELVE single digit games this year that's right at half or real close winning 10 and losing 2- - -but this is kind of a double edged sword , it makes you nervous but then again on the other hand you can see this team never quits - which may be very helpful come tourney time.

@drgnslayr TRUE, about the home court, although chances are just like at Texas Tech in their blackout game against us, of course it was sold out - -which always never ceases to amaze me, cause their very next game I watched ONCE again half full and like a morque, But that's the way it is where ever we go, chances are it's sold out cause most of the time w are their NCAA championship game. - -I mean we have coaches getting 25,00 dollar bonus for beating us, you don't see that I know of for any other teams.

Read of the Big 12 site, Josh yesterday was National Freshman of the Week for the 2nd time this year, pretty dam -,good, - - We know he is a finalist for the John Wooden award, Has had 7 Big Twelve weekly awards, which includes 2 time player of the week - - -and 5 time Big 12 newcomer of the week, the 7 rewards are the most by a KU Jayhawk in one season.

This kid has/does it all, like we heard Josh unpacked his bags and bought into the system from the word go. He dives on the floor for loose balls, he rebounds well, some of his passes are really sweet, he handles the ball well, and of course scores the ball, his outside shoot is improving - the ONE down side like every one knows is - -FT shooting. -- I just feel once Josh gets into the NBA, this kid is going to be a beast - -free flowing action, run the floor I just think he is VERY legit NBA stud of the future someone we really gonna watch, like I said a legit ONE AND DONE - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I know we now have the last FIVE CB picks for Trae, but we all know that's the CB. Was listening to a sports radio talk show just a minute ago. Made some pretty interesting points: this all revolves around someone that doesn't they say really get a lot of credit, he gets a lot of shots taken at him, but probably not given the credit he deserves:

Case in point, last night and I never give this any thought, but was brought out, When Landen was on the floor last night we were PLUS 22, when he was PLUS 22 can you hear me? - -When he went to the bench with his 2nd foul, WV quickly went on a 7-0 run had now problem, didn't hesitate what so ever, didn't give it a 2nd thought about driving the lane finishing out the half with Lucas on the Bench.

When he went to the bench with his 4th foul at the 8:19 mark the reporters said they said uh-oh time getting short and KU showing NO SIGNS of life - - Dead. - -When Landen came back in at the 2:30 mark left in the game and KU down 12 -- -who was it that played very key role in that comeback: these sequences. Landen gets key rebound, Who was it that played the front on our press? - -Landen - - Who played a key part of the trap that led to a bad possession? - -Landen - - who followed a missed shot with a key rebound and a follow slam to cut the lead to four? - -Landen - -Who was it that in the overtime, Ku up five and we saw Landen playing defense on Amad and amad does nothing ends up dribbling backwards and losing the ball out of bounds with Landen on him and WV turns it over and Ku comes down on that next possession and Devonte hits a trey and increases the lead to EIGHT.

A reporter from USA today made the statement that Landen Lucas is to this team what Zubak was to the Duke team yrs back, he is a glue guy - -Says ya he is no big scorer, he is not flashy, said when people think of a glue guy people have a tendency of thinking of that flashy guard, that wing, not a big guy.

The reporter and the radio guy says YA you can and do question the three things Landen will do when he gets the ball, you CAN QUESTION THAT, but the one thing you CAN'T question is that he will ALWAYS give you 110%.

He won't make any big 12 teams, chances are he may not even make honorable mention but bottom line is somewhere during the game Landen is going to get you two or three things to help you win the game, a key rebound , some defense you didn't think he had in him - -just simply 110% all the time - -AGAIN last night PLUS 22 when Landen was on the floor, Like the reporter said so the next time we are bashing Landen which we will just remember this conversation - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Well saw now that the last THREE CB picks for Trae has gone to KU, we got another prediction for him today, from some one by the name of Matt Agnoli - -the CB and ya believe me I know for what it's worth but the CB now has us leading at 48% to 36 % - -But I'm trying to keep that in perspective as we all remember how the CB did us with AYTON it had us all along or pretty much at 100% - -but I will say, Gerry Meyer which is usually pretty accurate is still saying Trae will end up at KU, says it close but he just feels when it's all said and done Trae at KU - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@BeddieKU23 I have to agree with you soo, much. - -I think Coach Self telling Trae why is the decision so hard, you come to the University of Kansas you ARE going to be our starting point Guard. - -I like you , I feel the Coaching staff just like last year I believe they knew with Wayne, they Know this year with Devonte, I think they already know what Devonte is going to do. OK, guys I'm listening to a local radio sports talk show here in Topeka, and they are talking about how some people are ragging on the fans that left that game last night early, the host saying - -hey that's on you, if you wanna leave you paid good money then that's ok. - - Now I'm as guilty here not going to deny, but come on now -- let's be really honest here - -I'm serious now lets be really honest. -- How many here REALLY thought KU was going to come back and when that game last night when we are down FOURTHTEEN points with 2:45 left. - -REALLY dead honest, how many here thought we were going to come back and win? - HONEST?

I will be the first, now here is a perfect example of what I try and tell people, and you have all seen it from me at times, And I admit I probably get to wrapped up in MY KU Jayhawks, when things like last night happen I get freaked out, and yes probably over react. - -So yes I was one of those people, no I wasn't at the game but like many others watching the game, and when it was going down like it was -- -For one I had the volume turned down and had the local KU radio station on, but eventually shut the TV off, in my man cave, shut the radio off, and came in and got on my computer and started my rant. Decided to turn my tv that I have in our bedroom on and BAM we start the come back. - -I'm not worthy, I'm a paranoid idiot that gets to hype, I rant, I rave, I cuss, My wife runs for the hills, nobody better call. the dogs take off. the neighbors call 911 ( na not really on the 911 ) lol.
