Well, it's been a few hours since I received my call last night around 10 from a fellow Jayhawk out of California making me aware about Bragg. Have had some time to try and look at the broader picture. So far from what I can see is, this is possibly NOT GOOD in some areas for not only now, but the future.

The main concern is, and before I even started to put this out, I read from another poster from another site, they also brought out the same concern, and that is, this could really put a damper on things for some of our possible recruits. Now look at it this way. Doesn't really matter WHY Carlton got suspended - - -AGAIN, the bottom line is - -he did get suspended again period. So if you look at things 1st Bragg gets suspended because of the situation with his Ex, yes very true all charges were dismissed , Then we turn around and have this situation at Mc Carthy hall with the alleged rape of a 16 yr old girl, not saying it didn't happen - -not saying it did, plus I am NOT, again I AM NOT so it is perfectly clear to some on here, I am not saying ANY of our players had anything to do with this situation at all - we have no idea where that is headed, but we have that situation out there, and NOW Bragg is suspended - -AGAIN. - - That in the eye of Joe B Public spells trouble - - turmoil on the Basketball program.

Hence with all the negative exposure this team is getting now both locally and NATIONALLY and it is out there I'm sure we are all fully aware of that. with all this exposure this in no way shape or form is good for our recruiting in the future. - -Using as an Example , If anyone tries to say that in our recruitment of Trae , you don't think that Oklahoma which is or seems to be the other school to beat for Trae, you don't think they won't use this as a major weapon in the recruitment of Trae? - If you do, I'm sorry to say let me have some of what your smoking because must be some good shit. - -You can take it to the bank , and on top of that with Trae, this whole situation with the things thats happening here, this could be the determing factor with Trae's parents for him NOT to come here. His mama wants him to stay close to home, His dad not so much BUT Mom could really win out with this happening, I can almost hear her conversation - I don't want my boy going away from home and getting into that type of situation. On top of that other schools that we are in heated battles for other top recruits - -you can turn this anyway it makes you feel the most comfortable, but again if you don't think they won't use these kinds of things against us? - - YA UMMM good luck with that. thats just the Nature of the game, thats how things are played in recruiting, using anythin - -everything they can against other schools. This could get bad - -maybe not BUT things is shaky to say the least right now.

Bottom line , in the end run , my take , I really think one of two things will happen from this time With Bragg. One Carlton will either when it's all said and done will be dismissed from the team OR two Carlton will leave the program. I don't see any possible way as of right now how this turns out good for him. I know I have no idea as to WHY Carlton got suspended - - none of us do , BUT bottom line he has gotten suspended - -AGAIN, and is becoming a very big distraction with the team. This is not the happy go lucky, bubbly, light spirited kid that we recruited two years ago - - Something has happened I feel outside the Basketball program with him and has caused issues we quite likely may never know, if that IS the case, BUT think this is a no win situation for him.

The one I and some others really feel sorry for since all this has happened, is Frank Mason. His Senior year, having an outstanding senior season, and of course high hopes, dreams of his and now doesn't look good. Really feel for the team in general BUT for Frank ummm ya. hopefully things can get turned around. Hopefully Mitch and Dwight can between the two of them give some minutes and try to fill a void, just hoping for better days. - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@JayHawkFanToo Agree, the only thing I was trying to point out is " That Physically " Mitch can't hold his ground right now. - I like the kid, I think he will be a rally good 4 year player for us. He might surprise me, this is not a negative against him, it's just he needs a year with Hudy I feel to be able to add some bulk. Well ok for the 2nd time this season bad pub being put out surrounding the Basketball team. - -First Bragg which as we all know was proven TOTALLY false, and now this with SURPOSEDELY five of our teams player being witnesses in some sort of way to this alleged rape. Let me relay what I saw and what I'm thinking right now:

What I read & it troubles me just a little. - -What I am reading is, the people in the know, or dealing with this situation says - - - the reason it wasn't reported like any other crime was it likely would of received extensive media coverage both regionally and Nationally due to the fact the KU Basketball team lives at the facility, and due to the number of allegations Nationally involving student-athletes and sexual assault cases.

Now this bothers me to an extent , Now let me say I DO NOT believe any of the players had any part of this alleged rape - -I mean seriously , Frank? Lightfoot ? Vang ? just not seeing it - -BUT? - - they say they are afraid of the media and exposure - - the question is KU players or not , should this NOT be brought to light? - -Is this surpose to be swept under the rug? - -Will it not , which it already has made National exposure as it's all over the news anyways - -But whether it's NOW or LATER will it not get all kinds of media attention? - -just like the Louisville situation? and to a different extent not the same BUT just like the North Carolina grade situation? are those not STILL getting National media exposure? -I dunno maybe it's me , maybe I'm looking at this wrong, but when I hear this it just seems little regard for the alleged victim. Seems like caring less for her regard and more for the accused. - - Again I don't think or feel there is ANY chance in hell any of our players were directly involved in this , but the question for me is still - -WHY shouldn't this be brought out NOW ?

It says the Campus Security policy and Campus crime statistics require university police to maintain a written daily crime log within TWO business days of being reported to police. - -BUT there are eceptions

It says institutions can withhold information from the log IF it would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation OR THE SAFETY of an individual, or cause a suspect to flee, or evade detection, or result in the destruction of evidence. Then at whatever point the "adverse effect " of concern is no longer likely to occur the institution is required to add the incident to the crime log.

Ok, my question is, whether they list it NOW or it's released Now - OR later - - do they really think that the " adverse effect " -will just go away? - - If this turns out to be false , even if they wait - -which they are , if this is another false accusation , which I'm not say it is, or it's not BUT do they think that IF it is that the danger to this girl is Gone? -OR if it's true do they think that the danger for retalitation in some form to THAT person will be gone? I just don't see how the consequences would be any less however this turns out. - -IF this did happen, you don't think that your NOT going to have some really PISSED of relatives or whoever that this has happened to a 16 yr old girl? - - If it didn't happen same thing you don't think she isn't going to. have to worry about retaliation in some way shape or form? - -No Matter when it gets revealed it's going to get ALL KINDS OF MEDIA attention - -exposure Local and Nationally - already has , just very confusing - not good pub for the boys , just another distraction - -hoping for better days - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Our problemsd really boils down to this - - - DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE. Was listening to a radio Sports talk out of Topeka. This year we have a 41 ranking in adhusted defense,- - We were 6th last year SIXTHED.

Like they said you take Seldon out of the equation, insert Jackson, remove Greene and insert SVI - -other then that we are the same as we were last year, Graham, Mason, Lucas, Vick, Svi, Bragg, so there you have it, we are just no cuttin it, they hadd a guy from Bleacher report on talking to him and he said he went back and watched film of teh game last night and like has been said by others -- Jackson is really getting beat on the defensive end - -siad he counted where Jackson was directly responsible the guys he was guarding scored 28th points.

KU @ WV - -22% of a win
KU @ UK - - 27% of a win
Baylor @ Allen - - this is kind of a killer for me , - -They gave us a 47% of a win
KU @ K-State - - 57% of a win - - hmmm
They are getting this so they say from the BPI index - - I'm not so sure. - -whatcha think?
