I hope our small ball lineup is better equipped to handle that!

If our remaining KJ, JF, DH, NT, EJ, PB and JM score up to their averages we have 42 points in the bank. I hope for a 40% three ball night please. Will Bill want to feed PB as our first option or what? Even if everyone scores in double digits circa 70 points it may not be enough.

So much of it will depend on the mindset of those playing tonight. Their approach to it will determine if it's a game or not.

Your absolutely right. I saw on ESPN last night where a team , I can't remember the team , I think is was a lower conference but they went out and won I believe their Championship with only seven healthy players Now I know lower level but in theory anyways and were not playing for Championship game BUT it can be done, you get kids with the correct mindset, roll the ball out and play the game.

You go out with the mindset - -well we are going to get curb stomped before you even step on the floor , then why even STEP FOOT ON THE FLOOR? you go in with that approach might as well not even suit out, just tell them to mail the score in and go from there. Bottom line is the Basket is still the same in circumference - -- it's still 10 ft high , and the other teams players put their shoe's on one at a time just like us --- roll the ball out and see what happens. - -You never know

I know with how things are playing out - chances are we do get beat tonight. I have no problem with Coach decision to hold Hunter & Kevin out, well really not much of an option anyways BUT might as well let them rest , hopefully be ready for the Tourney.

I know we will probably just get creamed on the boards-- -But I think it would be funny as hell if some how we could manage to win this 1st game with the line up we will face putting on the floor tonight, Would love to hear what Greenburg had to say then,-- He was all fired up about Cinn beating us and playing Baylor tomorrow, shut him up.

@jayballer67 Go back and look at Porter's shooting numbers again. 42% isn't his 3 point shooting, that's his overall shooting percentage. His 3 point percentage is under 30%. His 2 point shooting percentage was 48%.

We don't need and shouldn't want a 6-11 big man that took 14 shots per game at a 42% clip.

We have a 7'2 5 that thinks he wants to play the 3 and shoot 3pt% where he was like maybe , maybe 3 for his last 28 - when he needs to park his ass down low post up and yet be dam strong enough to finish a play. you wanna talk about a player that likes play hero ball an out of position

The difference between Max Abmas at ORU and Porter at Pepperdine is team also success. Abmas took ORU to a pair of NCAA Tournaments including the Sweet 16 in 2021 while Pepperdine has had 4 winning seasons total since the last time they made the NCAA Tournament in 2002.

I'm not buying that, it's not like he cost pepperdine games by his self. - Alot depends the quality of the OTHER players around him are.

I found a couple of others you don't want nothing to do with either Clark Sloqjcher- - From Penn- -Avg 18 ppg and shot 42 % from the 3- -BUT he is from Penn so that won't work
Then we have another from Pepperdine- - but it's Pepperdine 14.7 ppg Name Houston Mallette 43 fg %-- & 41 % from three. -Were in need guys that can score the ball - -shooters from distance, this guy more efficient taking shots off the dribble, but he is from another lower P-5 so that won't work. Porte isn't th reason Peppreine suks all bty himself sorry to say
