Another in with Ju Ju if he is being strongly recruited which Townsend told him he wanted him to come in and help then win another National Championship, but KU ties with his family are really deep.

Mom played Volleyball at KU from 1999-2000 and his dad played in one of the 1st class at Free State. Ju Ju said as we all know that the atmosphere at KU is crazy , when asked what he was looking for in a School was typical the fit and just like any other kid basically wanting to play as a Freshman- - umm not to sure if that would happen how the minutes would work but time would tell on that. Kind of hard unless you special to get a lot of quality minutes at KU as a freshman . Another big thing for him is how he fots with the Coaching staff , will play a big factor in his recruitment.

One of the reasons he said he was going to go play New Hampton was because Brady Morning star played thee and was an advocate to getting him to New Hampton and that the difference between Lawrence basketball and the NEPSPS. Playing with older and stronger players were factors.

he been spending a lot of time with Brady and Doug Compton Jr, saying has really helped a lot, just lifting weights and trying to become more physical and stronger

Sounds like staff must think he has that potential, we must be interested for sure if we offered - -which we did I think it was Howard who told him they like what they saw, your right I think KU is a lock - of course things can change as you know - -2022 is a ways a way yet a lot can change between now and then > I'm sure with KU offering there will be MORE schools starting to check him out at least a little.

Well today is the 1st day that KU & other Colleges could have direct contact with 2022 recruits and KU was really busy.

I guess the big surprise to the recruit and to others was Ku has offered a Lawrence local a Scholi they were thrilled and & surprised.- - saying they really got to buckle up and stay after it now.

JuJu Ramirez , that is out of Bishop Seabury a 6'9 kid that can play inside and the perimeter, on his 1st day has offers from Denver , Bryant , Rhode Island , Minnesota & Ku. makes me think if KU is offering they see something in the kid, usually pretty good at evaluating talent . - so I'm good. he is going to move and play for New Hampton Prep this Season.

Boy , howdy guys been battling with myself on this and trying to figure out how to state this. It can be a very touchy delicate conversation and believe me by no means am I here to offend anyone , I questioned if I should even type this or not , yet It feels like something I need to ber able to open up and express my feelings and hopefully others can too without this becoming a war of words , and it it starts to come to that then I'll kindly ask the moderators or whoever can is able to - - then lock the post down and I will not be the least upset, hopefully this is something that can be talked about maturely as fellow adults.

So with that being said let me say from the very beginning that I AM NOT , I repeat I AM NOT in any way shape or form in the least a racist person. I have many , many , many very close black close friends. So been wondering arguing within myself , Has this George Floyd thing gone to far ?

I mean was what happened wrong ? - -YES , beyond a person's wildest imagination was so wrong , So people protested ? YES it's called freedom of expression , it's ok to show your expression , changes need to be made. Having said that there is a HUGE difference between protesting - - - and RIOTING & LOOTING & VANDALSING . - -there is no reason , none what so ever for rioting. your destroying a lot of your own race mall business - -business these individuals have busted their ass for and struggles to make mere pennies hanging on by a string a lot of them. Then you have individuals Whites Blacks who the f - - - ever, seizing the chance in destroying robbing and whatever else because that's what they do , taking every single opportunity they can to benefit themselves, not thinking about those people of their own color. That kind of crap benefits nobody , plain an simple. People have the right to assemble - - NOT to riot.

Other things I understand it deserves National attention , but yet I mean I myself just think it's time to put this to rest now , let the law makers do what they need to do to straighten this crap out- - - -- National TV exposure every day for hours on end ? - -It's time to put it to bed , let this man ( George Floyd) rest in peace now. Even his own brother telling people to STOP the violence.

Now we are hearing about of kinds of people of color people coming out of every where and media telling about how they are abused - - That's so sad to hear - - but WHY NOW ? - -why not it be told when it happened - - not months/years ago. - Actually heard a % and in reality White un armed men are almost double being beat up by Police then Black men DOUBLED. - it doesn't matter really what race you are , there is no room - - no excuse NONE what so ever for Police brutility rather your BLACK - - - WHITE - - - RED - - -YELLOW - -TAN - -BLUE no place for that crap.

Yet brings me to this. NOW , there are many states talking/acting on changes, yes changes have to be made - - BUT to abolish the Police Dept? - -that is just insane , are you fricking serious ? the Dept in Minnesota is abolishing their's crime gonna run rampant. The one thing to keep in mind and think about before such drastic actions be made - - -think about how you want this the next time your wife - - your girlfriend - is being raped/molested - - you get your car stolen/vandalized - - -your getting the hell beat out of you/mugged - -your house is being broke into - - - your kids get kidnapped, - -remember then how people wants to abolish the Police, and you wondering where the hell they are in YOUR time of need/protection

See where KU has offered 2023 Baye Fall out of Senegal the # 6 player in 2023 Ku in on this one early, think they said 6-10/6'11 ? currently has offers from Georgia , Georgetown , Minnesota & KU. plus has many , many schools interested.

KU is the only school thus far that he has been to BEFORE KU offered , wasn't actually a Basketball visit as he was in KC for an AAU event. Said he liked the Campus KU was a big School , liked the Conference.

Not a chance, Zion has too much money at stake to weasel his way out of this. He's not going to give a damn about what happens to Duke at this point because his refusal to testify is going to cost him millions of dollars because unlike a criminal case, refusal to testify or plead the 5th in a civil case can be used against a person.

They was talking to Girod and they were saying how great it would be if they could come up with a vaccine before Jan 1st and Girod said ya it would be nice , and he said he didn't even want to look at the projected numbers. -As we all know KU Basketball is the main revenue maker for which we all know - - -they talking like what it would look like in the Phog and what kind of effect it would have on the game with the amount of fans in the stands - -they are talking 2,000 or 3.000 fans Girod & long talking about what it would be like. That would be ugly , hell they are STILL talking about that's IF there is going to be a sports Season. Just read this off TOS. Saw where Paul Matuvao-Peialir a 6'4 305 lb OT from Baylor had entered the Transfer Portal - he committed to Baylor in 2019, the only reason curious is we were in on him , recruiting him originally was recruiting him as a Defensive Tackle.

Something to think about. Do you realize that there is a chance may be a small chance but still a chance that the Big 12 could have the two # 1 ranked players in the country playing in the league this year. - Cade Cunningham the # 1 ranked player for 2020 that's going to play down in Stillwater & then Jonathan Kuminga who is the # 1 ranked player for 2021 is very seriously thinking about re-classifying to2020 and Texas Tech is in his top 5.. They are saying they think he might well re- classify as he named a top 5. Yet he is also considering the NBA G League

Lol , now I know this is going to come across bad BUT in reality not meaning any harm or trying to detract from the guys , yet it is reality. At least at this point. We ( KU ) wouldn't have to worry about being able to fit their fans in properly for the COVID-19 - -even under normal conditions the stadium isn't gonna be sold out - - can only hope that some time in the not to distant future it will be that way ( full capacity ) - just saying for now. Again not trying to sound like Debbie Downer , but just had a little chuckle with this circumstance with the condition of our program at this minute.

With the spacing like they wee talking about teams with normal 80,000 capacity might have to play in front of 20,000 - - well our capacity is what? - -56 ,000? - - -well if we could get like our 25,000 to 30,000 if were lucky to get that right now hell we wouldn't have to change a thing lol.

Reading this article gets my Crimson & Blue flowing. Causes my interest to peak even more. Coach has done a really good job recruiting for sure considering this COVID-19.

According to Volley Ball High KU has the # 10 ranked recruiting class in the Nation , Prep Volley Ball has our class ranked at # 11 in the Nation.

KU will have 10 new comers this Season , 7 Freshman & 3Transfers from very high quality P-5 programs. Mississippi State , Nebraska , & UCLA. I like those Schools. then we have 7 returning players.

It's going to be very interesting to see how quickly we can bring these pieces together and I fully believe they will - I think this will be a very interesting season - - I like it.

3 key players to Watch I think could be ; Jenny Mosser from UCLA an outside hitter0 she took part in 90 matches & 320 sets during her time at UCLA so easy to say she played ALOT for UCLA think she will be important here. - -- Karli Schmidt: very high ceiling, very good 4 time All State player and 5 A player of the year out of Lansing - - - - & Paige Show Transfer from Mississippi St : 200 sets in her time as a Fr & Soph time at Mississippi State $ 1 prospect out of Alabama out of High School - - I don't care - - I'M EXCITED . - -let's go ladies ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

OH Mercy , our dear friends off the Kentucky Board are just about to croak, wondering why the hell the NCAA turned this over to the IARP. Saying or asking if this is the NCAA'S way of passing the buck and then nothing coming of this , and the NCAA being able to say well it wasn't us - -it was the IARP.

Was talking about his virtual visit with KU . Saying Townsend and Coach Self stressing how they need frontcourt guy that can fit their scheme that they have. Coach Self Mentioned the Morris Twins & Joel Embiid that were drafted at his position . Coach Self talking about how KU was favorite to win the whole thing last year & his success he has had in the Big 12. Shows that KU has great tradition and how great the program is

I don't think there is much chance he lands here but I would take him for sure if he chose to come , in need of some good big men top 60 player right now pretty sure that will go up. To many offers to mention all to list some : Louis , Marq , Syra , U Conn , UCLA , Illinois , Seton Hall , Miami , KU , Ohio St - -to name some. Boy , they extending this recruiting dead period till the end of July, is gonna cause some really interesting tactics. Like the Head guy at Sunrise said, causing a lot of staffs todo a lot more watching of film and relying on Coaches of these teams , these guys to provide vital information about recruits such as Kendall which we are recruiting - -such as Grady also.

These Coaches are really gonna have to sell the Schools , seeing as there is no on Campus visit. Coaches can't have one on one in face contact with recruits. - -Lots of Zoom calls - -lots of phone calls. Gonna be interesting how this all plays out for schools. ROCKCHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

No way it's consecutive. 77 weeks would be almost 4 straight seasons. Probably 77 total week in the top 5.

I know I was thinking that we had slipped down to like 8th or 9 once or twice through the years I think we have slipped below 5th before

Texas was one of the 1st States to re-open , over the weekend they had their highest rate of New cases of the virus since this 1st came to light. Believe it was a number of like 1800 new cases. - afraid you will see more like this if we try to rush back to fast

It's a weird dynamic. There was a gathering at a lake here in Kansas that resulted in 10 people becoming infected. That certainly makes me a bit hesitant about things re-opening. I really hope that as we start to re-open, everyone doesn't just rush back. Those that can work from home should still try to do so, while those that cannot can start getting back out there so they can earn a living.

I hope restaurants keep doing take out. That's actually been a nice treat to sample the takeout from local restaurants. I just worry that if we try to just "go back to normal" we will be in a worse mess than we were before.

Ya I heard about the Lake. Not sure if you might be referring to Lake Perry or not but I know they are saying there were clusters that came for there.

Like you said that's what I'm most afraid of , people just rushing back out thinking we are back to every day ordinary living. We ARE NOT back to everyday type living , it will be some time before that happens. Like I said I'm all for people getting back to work - - I understand and agree but baby steps my friends got to be baby steps

thing is for it to be a real rival the so called rival has to win every so often. More often then K-State has been able to do with us , at least in Basketball Now I'm sure if you were to ask I would be willing to bet that there are K-State fans feel the same way about us in Football.

I mean when you can go on your so called rival home floor and beat them what , wasn't it like 16-17 yrs in a row we beat them on THEIR home floor? -that's not a rivalry. I agree 1000% Missouri is always more of a true rivalry the K-State.

I know I have heard that there are some of your smaller Schools /leagues that have already said that they would not be having fall Semesters. - -On our local scene Governor Kelly has mentioned that they still are not sure if Schools will be able to return or not. I think KU has some kind of plan in place but it's just crazy

We really need a cohesive master plan. How exactly is social distancing going to work in public schools? Throwing dates out there is great but it would be nice to see the full picture, at least see dialog about how it might happen, ideas.

Generations of beaurocracy seem to have chased all the imagination out of the public sector and it's what we desperately need now.

I totally agree with what you said. - I mean a critical point with the schools is as been brought out kids traveling across the states then returning to School in the fall in close proximity - College kids coming back some from abroad could be real problems there. PATIENCE has to be a factor here. we just can't jump back in head first with this - - little by little. How do you put a timeline on something like this ? I Don't know. I will not lie scares me a little , maybe scare is not the right word maybe should be very uncomfortable more like it Hate it.

For Baylor it all depends on what Butler & Teague do as far as the draft. If they both come back they are a #1 type seed team again. They take a huge hit if both leave, if one leaves it depends on which one, Butler coming back would be more impactful.
Tech will be better adding an actual low-post transfer and getting the 5 star recruit Burnett who's the perfect fit for Beard. I don't see it with West Virginia, still lacking any perimeter talent beyond McBride. Texas has all the talent but we all know their biggest problem. I'm not high on the rest. Oklahoma St will get a lot of chances for having the #1 recruit but I'm not sold on the rest of the team.

I agree. I dunno but when I saw Texas listed as a 4 ? I just thought that was pretty high , guess I'm just not as up on them as I thought. True West Virginia I think will be very solid but a 3 ? - I do think that the Big 12 is going to be pretty dang tuff this coming season. That's if we have a Season.
