Don't know a lot about the kid - but Jaylen Richardson - -from right here in Kansas announced tonight that he was staying home and is 1000% committed to Kansas.

Like I say don't know much right now only he is I think 6 ft & 200 lbs - - not even sure where he played - what school. -Sounds like he played running back in school - but a poster said from what he saw on tape was he was to slow to play that position in the Big twelve was getting caught from behind several times. - said think the plan is to get him up to about 215 and have him at a line backer position - -

Read where we are getting a visit from a 3 * QB out of Downingtown Pa. - -Name of Will Howard 6'4 -- 205 lbs - -looks pretty decent.

The bigger news is we made the top 5 final schools for a 4 * OLB out of Dallas Texas. - -Now let's be real chances of actually getting him to commit? - - probably not that great , BUT then again we did make his final 5.

Brennan Scott Dallas Texas - -6'1 - - 230 - - the other Schools remaining Big Dogs , pretty impressive : - - Oregon - - USC - - -Texas - - -& Auburn. - -but you think - would of we even got a knock on the door with the previous staff ? - Coach Miles getting these inroads done - -making progress - -as old Coach M would say - - keep chopping wood.

Again the chances of landing - maybe not the best , BUT look at some of the teams he cut to get to the final 5 : Arizona , Arizona St , Arkansas , Baylor , Colorado , Florida , Georgia , Iowa , K-State , Kentucky , LSY , Michigan State , Minnesota , Nebraska , Oklahoma , Ol Miss , Purdue , Texas A & M - -that my friends is a pretty impressive list. We are still in the hunt - -these schools got cut - - chopping wood Coach.

Right now we are ranked currently with the # 36th ranked class in the Nation - were still very much in the chase for at least a couple of other 4 * players - If we could end up in the top 40 at the end of recruiting - - HUGE JUMP - that is called progress - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Well one might say - just off ranking Wilson is a higher ranked player he is # 50 and it was said he was under ranked - - - probably handles the ball some better - -rebounds well - course that's just of ranking - -I don't think it matters - as been said many many times and how Bill put it - it's not as much as who starts - it's who is on the floor at crunch time - - -to many people worried about who starts. - Hell I've seen where some players START and then maybe play a whole total of 15 minutes the entire game - -again don't get to hung up on who starts games - -very easy might not end up majority of minutes

I Hear ya and agree - like you say I could see Moss around 12 a game. -- Thing is I'm not sure if we are going to have a guy that is going to get the majority of our scoring with this team. - -Could be this is one of those more Balanced teams with like 4 guys averaging anywhere from 11 - -through 15 -16 a game. -- I have a tendenacy to like balanced teams more like that anyways - that way it's harder for defense to double down on one specific player. - have to wait and see what plays out I reckon

Self historically plays a 7-8 man rotation, and Wilson would be the 5th or 6th guard in that rotation. It doesn't mean he's a bad player, just means there would be better options ahead of him. In Self's system, the 2 and the 3 are interchangeable on offense so it doesn't matter if Wilson is a two or a three, he's an off ball guard and would be behind Agbaji, Garrett, and Moss in that possible line up.

That equals minimal minutes once Self trimmed the rotation to 7 or 8 players.

With that being said I think we GOT to give a shout out give all the prop due to our Track guy - - - Bryce Hoppel - what respect I give this guy - -no way would you have ever seen me be able to do this.

Bryce just completed perfect Indoor/Outdoor season - -Running the 800. - -Won the NATIONAL TITLE in the 800 with his best time of 1:44.41 - - unreal. - -this makes him the5th best all time in the event.

So got a question. With the way things now look to be playing out , - - if they do indeed come to being true , the question now becomes for me anyways. Do we continue to recruit Josaphat Belau for our 13th scholli limit player?

I know if Wilson and Moss both commit - -that would leave us with ONE. probably pretty solid thinking on your part. - The last I knew was they were trying to get some kind of a date set - -but heard nothing more - I think that maybe losing the top two that was really involved with his recruitment just really sealed their fate - -like you I just can't take anything for granted until he actually commits.
