This is part of the media problem I was speaking of, hundreds of media outlets have headlines like this. Thousands are criticizing Trump for talking about it in the comments, they didn’t care to look into it of course. A reporter (an idiot at best) asked him about it and he gave a deflecting answer. They just want attention folks, it’s misleading headline to grab clicks and get comments on social media. Who the hell asks questions like that in a global crisis SMH.

Damn those rich white people lmao

The democratic nominee • Apr 09, 2020 12:59 AM

@BShark that’s my trouble with both sides, one side does it and it’s forgiven. The other side does it and should face the wrath of god himself. Its the hypocrisy back and forth anymore.

@approxinfinity Right and I’m not saying I have all the answers. But I think it’s safe to say, a large number of people at one place in one day could be bad potentially.

@Crimsonorblue22 I’m in agreement that we shouldnt have church but while I’m just out driving around I see tons cars at certain places. I think that’s bad from how contagious this stuff is.

@Crimsonorblue22 that’s good but I still think pick only would be safer. If hundreds or thousands are coming and going, all it takes it a couple of infected folks to touch or cough on stuff and you have thousands infected.

@mayjay maybe they are, I’m just saying the parking lot was full. That’s about all I could see, pictures all over Facebook of hundreds waiting in at stores. I’m just saying logically and statically it’s not smart to have a ton of people filing in and out all day when they are saying this stuff can live on items for days at time.

@Crimsonorblue22 Same thing here, one door open (which is stupid because it means there is a traffic jam at one). I’m not sure what they are doing with the isles but it defeats the purpose of someone sick goes and breathes all down that isle. I didn’t go in and won’t til this clears up. To me we need to start mass closures, 50 people at church are less likely to spread stuff than 10s of thousands at Walmart. I’m sure just about all Walmart’s are doing the same thing being a corporation.

This whole thing is getting very stupid, cancel churches, school, restaurants and work. Me driving by Walmart seeing the parking lot full And probably at a minimum 500 people. Turn on news, hundreds, possibly thousands waiting in line for unemployment. The church’s are a bare minimum of concern at this point. Wal Mart needs to close its doors and only do pick up orders. I have a family member that’s a Wal Mart manager and thinks this is very doable. They could put all hands on deck and add more times. Greed is the only reason not to, Wal Mart made a $150 billion last year and the guy says it’s been like Black Friday for a month straight.

The democratic nominee • Apr 08, 2020 06:50 PM

I’d be shocked if trump doesn’t win by miles. People are scared of change, Trump is fool but people know what to expect. With the the talks of socialism and what not it’s a huge guess to what Biden does good or bad.

The democratic nominee • Apr 08, 2020 06:36 PM

@FarmerJayhawk I think it’s foolish to just assume that non white people will vote for Biden. I sure hope more people vote tho.

I literally could cry..........this sucks so much a$$.

Tyon Grant Foster commits to KU • Apr 06, 2020 04:38 PM

@BShark I think he could be the 6th man on next years team. They have a chance to be much improved offensively. Probably a push in the rebounding but defensive will be a question mark.

Games on tv • Apr 06, 2020 05:19 AM

@bskeet no one could’ve predicted what upset would’ve happened. That’s why I don’t agree with giving us any type of award. Man it will be a long time before I get over not playing this year.

Differentiating fact from opinion on COVID-19 • Apr 06, 2020 02:27 AM

@approxinfinity When we did our pick up last week I did the last one and Lysol’d the stuff in my truck. It was cold so we left it in there for 2 hours and wiped off everything with Clorox wipes but some drinks and stuff that I sat in the garage and have sprayed 3 times now. Probably going a touch overboard but may as well be all in at this point.

Differentiating fact from opinion on COVID-19 • Apr 06, 2020 02:09 AM

There is so much contradicting on this thing. We ordered some river rock from Menards this past week and paid a ridiculous amount for delivery but are waiting to touch it because of germs. It has sat in our drive since Thursday morning. I will remove the outter plastic tonight and go straight to the dumpster with it. Then Lysol the individual bags all while wear gloves and straight to the shower after.

Games on tv • Apr 06, 2020 01:09 AM

@bskeet hard for me to believe that we would’nt have made at least the final four this season.

Games on tv • Apr 05, 2020 12:21 AM

I haven’t watched the 2003 or the 2012 loss yet. The 2012 would be easier on me. That 2003 game was one of the hardest KI loses next to Arizona in 1997 that I’ve ever dealt with. Usually I’m mad for a day, those 2 took months to recover from.

Differentiating fact from opinion on COVID-19 • Apr 04, 2020 06:53 AM

@DoubleDD Congress is an issue right now because they would have to issue a nationwide stay at home. The president doesn’t have that power.

Differentiating fact from opinion on COVID-19 • Apr 04, 2020 06:47 AM

That political post on social media or a chat room changed my mind..... said no one ever. I always try to agree to disagree (I do fail at it at times) like I did with @approxinfinity about news outlets these days. We see it differently, but I still like @approxinfinity and respect him. I agree with @justanotherfan that free press is important, but we wouldn’t argue for a week if I didn’t. @DoubleDD you are a republican, nothing wrong with that. Most on here are Democrats, that’s fine too. It’s not hard to find dirt on either party. Let’s move on friends.

Games on tv • Apr 04, 2020 02:13 AM

@nwhawkfan the call on JoJo still is considered one of the most controversial of all time. KU had several American players on the team that weren’t white (not using the term African American anymore, never liked it. I’m not Irish American). I like the movie especially how they call out a racist Adolf Rupp.

@jayballer73 I wish I was closer to you, I would bring you food and supplies.

@approxinfinity We go to the next town, the town I live in doesn’t even have a grocery store. Wal Mart has the order and pay online. Then the put it in your vehicle, but we are only getting like half the stuff we order with shortages. We are hoping to have enough to last a few weeks now. But these kids snack all day lol.

The democratic nominee • Apr 03, 2020 11:46 PM

@approxinfinity that make sense as to why we don’t hear as much but it does make me question on some of the stuff we do hear. We can argue all day no one is going to make me trust them at this point. It will take years of actuate coverage and no bias to do that.

@approxinfinity We haven’t left my house since last Friday besides me doing a grocery pick up wearing gloves and sanitizing the goods before house entry. I took my clothes off in the garage and went straight to the shower. My daughter has a heart condition that required surgery at 2 months. She likely dies if she catches this thing so we are being super safe.

2020-21 Season: Will it happen? • Apr 03, 2020 11:19 PM

@dylans interesting I didn’t know that

The democratic nominee • Apr 03, 2020 11:17 PM

@mayjay the trouble for me isn’t necessarily mistakes but rather running a story with little to no facts, no witnesses and one non trustworthy source. Then there are other stories that should be huge that hardly get mentioned a lala Michigan State rape ordeal, school shootings not involving assault type weapons.

The democratic nominee • Apr 03, 2020 09:13 PM

@mayjay If they weren’t wrong all the time, I’d be more likely to believe. The media runs with what they can sell watch Richard Jewel or read the book. Watch ESPN 30 for 30 fantastic lies. The Walter Cronkite’s of the world are gone. I don’t care which outlet you like, they twist stuff, add and take out words in speeches to fit their narrative. I do t know how many times I’ve seen guys quoted and then watched the interview and it’s been twisted. Call me crazy I don’t not trust media or the government. CBS just got in trouble for showing old footage of an Italian hospital claiming it was New York. Whatever actor it was in Chicago that claimed to be a target of racial abuse, that media ran with as hard as they could with no factual evidence. Trust is earned, neither have earned any from me in the past decade or so.

The democratic nominee • Apr 03, 2020 07:25 PM

@FarmerJayhawk that could be true but I don’t trust it šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

2020-21 Season: Will it happen? • Apr 03, 2020 05:34 PM

@drgnslayr it’s a very interesting time. I think stuff will hopefully be back to normal by then. Ether a vaccine or better treatment. I was reading an article the other day that I’m having trouble finding again that was talking about how crazy it will get if this last into next fall/winter. People will go crazy and more people will die from starvation than this virus at that point. This country survived the Spanish flu and polio which were much much more deadly and they didn’t shut down crap.

The democratic nominee • Apr 03, 2020 05:00 PM

@BShark the Democrats haven’t help themselves either with the passing of the stimulus that gives congress a 46k a year raise. National emergency, people are dying! We need to make more money.... what a joke both parties are at this point.

Trouble • Apr 02, 2020 02:55 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 so Beaty sucks a little a bit less, a loss is a loss. We were still down numerous scholarships after both. I’ll agree Weis crippled the place Beaty just didn’t do much to help.

Trouble • Apr 02, 2020 02:30 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 because you said Beaty was admirable, if you said Weis was admirable. I’d said similar about him. They both are terrible head coaches. Close the book and let’s move on lol.

Trouble • Apr 02, 2020 01:57 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 whoa never said anything about Weis being better. He’s slightly worse but both suck

Is this website a joke? • Apr 02, 2020 12:43 AM

@approxinfinity I’ll add that it’s a little shady with the decades that Nancy and Chuck have been around but their just now complaining about stuff they should’ve lobbied about years ago. They also have said the exact opposite of what they are saying now several times.

Is this website a joke? • Apr 02, 2020 12:39 AM

@approxinfinity it’s a coin flip for me but that’s why I vote independent usually. The trouble I have is 90% of the issues in this county have lingering for decades. Both teams parties have had control and crapped themselves. If you have more money than 75% of the population I’d consider you rich, that could be argued right or wrong. Just the way I see it. The last decent president we had was JFK and he was shot more than likely because he was going fix a lot of stuff IMO.

Trouble • Apr 02, 2020 12:30 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 excuses are like butts, everyone has one. He had at least 6 transfers of some kind every year he was here according to rivals. I respect the hell out of you but there isn’t any solid evidence of Beaty doing a lot hear, I’m sorry that just the way it is buddy.

Trouble • Apr 02, 2020 12:05 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 you said admirable, the definition of that word according to Webster is deserving respect and approval. He gets zero of both in my book. While yes he wasn’t the main culprit in our issues, he did very little to help. It would be the equivalent to me watching and drinking beers while my neighbors house burned down as a fireman. I didn’t start the fire but I certainly didn’t do my job to put it out even tho I was paid to. All the stupid SOB had to do was recruit HS players and the program is in way better shape regardless of wins.

Is this website a joke? • Apr 01, 2020 11:54 PM

@approxinfinity haha, agree to disagree on the hypocritical part. Both parties are very hypocritical at this point. I’d give the edge to the Democrats personally. I just laugh and laugh at their rhetoric ā€œRich old White people are bad!!, They are causing all these problems!!ā€. Not only is that racist and would be called it if it were any other race. But the last two elections they’ve hammered this all while telling us to vote for their old rich white people. Most of which haven’t worked a day in their lives. It’s just amazing how people these days on both sides can be so brain washed. They need average working men and women in government. They actually have done budgeting successfully and have an idea of what Americans need.

Marcus Garrett Defensive Player of the Year • Apr 01, 2020 10:15 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 someday I’ll mature enough to not laugh at your previous post, just not today lol. Well done Marcus!!! Much deserved!! Although it makes it stink more none of these guys got a chance to play when it matter this year.

Is this website a joke? • Apr 01, 2020 10:13 PM

@approxinfinity there is definitely some truth to that. But my comment isn’t limited to just presidents. Look at Bernie for instance, blows and goes about rich people being the issue. The dude has 2 vacation homes. I know one person with a single vacation home.

Trouble • Apr 01, 2020 10:05 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I’m laughing so hard I’m crying admirable? If we had Miles or any coach with a brain we were bowling that year. Let’s call 2 timeouts on a 4th and 1 in plus territory, then punt. Beaty did very little to increase the program. Went from winning 3 games and down 30 scholarship players in the Weis/Bowen final year to winning 3 games and being down 30 scholarship players 4 years later. I know you got a hard on for anyone that has been in or around Texas. But Beaty sucks and I won’t be convinced other wise. Sorry dude...
