All 59 of them lol
Got Marcus Garrett as well
It will be interesting to see how Penny does, He was a lot of fun to watch in the NBA but only has a few years of highschool and AAU coaching to speak of. Tubby was kinda given a raw deal IMO, He didn't inherit much and won 19 games the first year, then 21 this year after losing the Lawsons.
They aint gonna transfer back lol, I think the younger Lawson's could still end up here pending on how the other 2 do. Memphis doesnt compete for titles, we do.
Sounds like Metcalf is killing time by talking out his ass and hyping the east coast.
I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm satisfied, but with where this team was 2 months ago a B12 title seemed like a long shot. We not only won it by 2 games but took the tournament as well and we have made the sweet 16. I want more, we have come so close to a FF these last 2 years, I want one and a chance to play for a NC pretty bad. That being said I have zero expectations for this team going forward, one could say they've already achieved past their potential and maybe even talent level.
Carter is playing amazing tonight, they have something for Nova.
I would WV say has this in the bag but after 2 huge come backs, I ainât count the chickens til they hatch.
The upsets this year are insane! Ether a team comes back from 20 down or wins by 20.
The ACC didnât end up that bad for today with Clemson, Florida State and Syracuse all pulling out close wins.
Konate is a thug, he should average a T a game minimum.
So itâs KSU vs UK next weekend, two of the most arrogant fan bases, should plenty of crying.
I never want KSU to win in anything...ever. We know anytime the achieve moderate success they are the new super power and feared by all. Remember that one year they made an EE, you would've thought they won 8 straight NCs the way they acted. Go UMBC!!!
@approxinfinity I donât think Syracuse beats Dook, that and you forgot the AGAIN after kicking Syracuseâs ass.
Shoot I forgot UK is in the sweet 16 as well.
@jessejayhawk I wouldnât ever want to play Fizzou in the NC, Iâd take our a chances forsure but we all know in Missouri they only play 14 holes of golf because they canât make the final four.
How good would it look to have Tech, WV, Syracuse, KSU and A&M. All teams that we have beaten in the sweet 16, Self and Co know how to schedule. I know it really doesnât give us an edge at this point but beating good teams is nice.
You could definitely tell Doke couldnât move as well as he normally does but we needed every minute that he was able to go. Im hopeful he will be close to a 100% next week, as much we like Mitch he was so soft on the glass. Everytime he got a rebound the place went nuts.
I think Doke was about 80%, he used his elbows a little too much but at least 2 of Dokes fouls were weak. Doke even said in post game Delgato said on court he flopped. Delgato himself did plenty of hooking and elbowing, it was a super physical game. I thought Seton Hall had several fouls that couldâve or maybe even should been intentional. The one where 22 tackled DG from behind wasnât not a play on the ball whatsoever (probably wouldâve been a fight if that injuried DG, that was a thug play) or when they grabbed DGs jersey. Watching the game live Seton Hall played pretty rough like WV and got away with quite of bit of holding and pushing.
Negative, MSU has had hype out the butt the last 2 years mostly over Bridges and have done nothing with it. Syracuse has a HOF coach as does MSU, they both have been known to make runs unexpectedly but itâs hard to pick against ether as a higher seed. A talented team with zero pressure to advance with HOF coach is dangerous.
MSU and Syracuse in a ugly battle, MSU has 21 offensive rebounds and 17 second chance points with. 4 point lead.
Well friends I was able to make the trip down to Wichita for the game. Man that was fun, both games there were very entertaining. Definitely worth just now getting home. Malik Newman was on fire, it was a great experience for my first NCAA tournament game. I thought we played pretty good outside of Mitch. Usually Mitch bust his butt every minute, but most KU fans there were thoroughly irked at him for a serious lack of effort at times on the glass. That was the glaring issue tonight IMO. On to the next one.
@SkinnyKansasDude The 2010 UNI loss is not even in the same ball park as this. UMBC is the worst rated team in the tournament in several formulas. UNI was a 3 loss team that was ranked in #23 in the country going into the tournament and a top 35 team in nearly every ratings that I saw. A 1 seed loses in the second nearly every year compared to a 16 seed never having won before tonight. The UNI was painful but not historically the biggest upset arguably of all time in the sport.
@BShark that kid is fast, like Jesus on water Lol.
Well looks like the Big 12 goes 4-3 in the first round. Sadly the 3 losses were games I felt that were given away. If OU or Texas would hit a modest perentage from the line or TCU wouldnât have had some silly turnovers and missed a ton of open 3s.
Hey atleast we donât have to worry about being the first one seed out lol.
@BShark thatâs the shocking thing, there have been close calls. Heck we have been a part of a few of them but this was an absolute route. UMBC got up 10 in the first 3 minutes after the half and never looked back. I think everyone knew it would happen someday, just didnât expect a blowout or it to happen to the #1 overall seed. Itâs kinda funny from the stand point that Seth Davis, Joe Lunardi and others said that Penn had the best shot in years to beat KU and they thought about picking them.
I honestly feel bad for The Virginia players, they played great all year and had one terrible game UMBC shot lights out and played better than they couldâve dreamed of. KSU has a great shot to make the sweet 16. I really will be pissed if KSU goes further than us. Iâm in shock I really am.
Any the south, which most including myself thought was weak and any team could win is turning into a cake walk for UK.
Virginia fouling like crazy with no whistles
Game! Wow unreal
@approxinfinity how the refs call Virginiaâs tight D will play a huge factor here.
Race to 60 IMO, can Virginia get enough stops or even make enough shots to get there?
@approxinfinity Just glad it isnât us in this position.
Virginia isnât geared to come back with how they struggle to score for minutes at a time, if UMBC can keep it Double Digits till around 8 minutes Virginia will start sweating like crazy,
Virginia is getting tight now
Hey most agreed a 16 would win someday, could it be today? Long ways to go.
Wow Virginia is down 7 early in the second to UMBC
@dylans thatâs pretty good, the best I ever did was 2012. I had 6 of 8 elite 8 teams, 3 of 4 FF teams right to go with the title game and NC. I believe I finished in 800s of the millions of brackets on ESPN. I usually fill out 4 brackets, 2 of which for money. I have won one 4 of the past 5 years. I fill everyone out night and day different, last year I won my wifeâs pool at work. It had nearly 300 people in it and it was for a gift card đ but was free to compete.
@HighEliteMajor I would say the refs played a major hand missing that foul on the 3 and with how many Fts auburn shot, but Charleston missed so many free ones down the stretch it killed them I think they went 3 for 9 in last 2 minutes.
Boy Texas and OU gave away games at the line.
@nwhawkfan Mark Few is better than Marsha, Few has won 19 of the last 22 conference regular season titles, Marsha has 3 in 11 years at WSU, not in the same ball park IMO.
http://www2.kusports.com/weblogs/kusportstv/2018/mar/16/seton-hall-player-on-message-vs-ku-were-/ â
Letâs get this in the locker room.
@bskeet I didnât pick WSU far in any bracket but yes the Arizona upset killed a few of mybrackets. The South is the weakest bracket IMO and I picked them to the FF because of their talent and how they were playing the last few weeks. An upset is one thing but that was the most lopped side I remember a 4-13 game that a 13 won.
@BShark Ya, my question always is who did they dominate? Being statically the 4th best team in a conference over a decade isnât celebrated anywhere but Manhattan, KS. Iâve been giving my KSU buddies trash about after finishing 4th in B.B. this season it will be no time before they are playing on Bruce Weber âsqueak courtâ.
@BShark speaking more towards KSU football. Claim to be a national power and have had a decade of domination, even tho you won one conference title in that decade (2012 came later), while 2 other conference foes won multiple and some NCs.
I used to cheer for the shocks but their fan bases arrogance rivals KSUs. Have a couple of good years and think youâre a national power. GTFO! They are finding out, when you donât play in a typewriter maintenance league, you can rest starters for 10 minutes the last 2 months of the year.
Go home shockers!!!
Marshall battling like crazy, Conner is on fire and keeping WSU ahead
I bet WSU wins by 20 now.
