@BShark Yes, i would be worried about their bigs if we played them. Our guards can play with anyones but I'm betting Shaq would go for a minimum of 20 on us, we give up big games to just about every post player we see. Which is ok if our guards hit shots and keep someone else from going off.

It just feels more like a sweet 16 match up and if we win this one, Purdue, the big 10 champs, seems like an Elite 8 match up IMO. I'm ready to get this thing started.
@BShark I honesty think we match up better to WSU this year, I think a match up with Izzo is tougher than a Marsha match up. WSU has made 6 straight NCAAs but their recent history in the dance besides beating us when Cliff was out and Perry was injured to get to the sweet 16 they have lost in the round of 32 game or before every other year (first round loss in 12, FF in 13, round of 32 loss in 14, sweet 16 in 15, round of 32 loss in 16). The FF for them was a fluke IMO. If Izzo is in the tournament he can make the FF no question in my mind.
@BShark If anyone picked off of Kenpom their bracket is completely junked, I believe 10 of they're top 30 are already out most to teams lower in their ratings. I don't think you can always take the numbers from the regular and say that's how a team will play. This is always a tough game for us regardless of the team. Bill Self seldom loses in the first game of a weekend in the NCAA tournament, he has 4 loses in the first game while our head coach compared to losing 8 in second game of the weekend. This will not be easy my friends.
@ralster @drgnslayr it's listed as a sellout in ESPN and it seemed full to me just watching highlights on it. I think you're thinking of the Texas game which was half full.

I think Nova losing hopefully helps us remain focused on our current game and not on a potential ISU match up in KC. One thing I loved from the UC Davis game was I never really felt we took possessions off til the last 5 minutes with a 40 point lead. All year we have let our foot off the gas with a double digit lead. Now some of it is probably the level of team that we played but getting after it for 40 minutes is what I'm all about. Go hard fellas, there is no tomorrow.
Frank was able to pass both Perry Ellis and Keith Langford against UC Davis. He currently sits 7th on the all time scoring list with 1818 points just 3 behind Darnell Valentine and 60 behind Sherron Collins for 5th place.
Glad we didn't get the number overall seed, it's a curse my friends.

@JayHawkFanToo I actually picked it in one of my brackets. Nova has lived pretty close to the edge against average teams, like us lol. That and I thought Wisconsin should've been a 6 seed.
Will be interesting second half because Wisconsin has Happ out with 2 fouls most of the half but Nova got every call and couldn't hit a shot to save their lives. Will Nova feel some pressure if this game stays close thru out the second half?
Only reason Wisconsin aint up 12 is 7 turnovers and let up 9 second chance points.

Good win for the B12, got a good shot to get 3 or 4 in to the sweet 16. I agree that the ACC has been the better league most years but when you get 9 or 10 teams in every year the deck is always stacked in your favor. B12 2-0 vs ACC and 5-2 overall currently.
@Texas-Hawk-10 as usual I agree with you lol. No I don't think what JJ and Vick did was smart whatsoever but stuff like that happens daily with a bunch of college kids. It's crazy to me in hindsight that JJ kicking a car in anger has gotten 200x the media attention as Rasheed Sulaimon being accused of sexual assault, twice.

@mayjay true but I'm not buying it highly doubt a judge will ether. All of the sudden 3 and a half months later "he threatened to beat me up". I wish the news outlets would stop with publishing one side of a story that nothing has been proven besides her throwing a drink and him kicking a car. But it goes in tune with the media these days. If a person watches the news they are misinformed most of the time that's why I don't watch the junk. It always about rumors or some sort of conflict proven or not.
As we are done with opening round here I think there really wasn't a normal number of upsets. All seeds 1-5 won besides Minnesota, which played a underseeded Middle Tennessee and were well over seeded themselves ( thought MT should've been a 10 and Minnesota a 8/9). Usually a 3 and or a 4 seed goes out in the first round. Kinda interesting...
I tell you if UK plays like the second half here tonight, WSU may give them a run. They shouldn't talent wise. I know it was a tight one a few years ago but WSU had 3 of their all time best on that club. I think WSU is average this year maybe slightly above. The biggest surprise to me was Okie state getting beat but man did Michigan flat out shot the lights out of the building, 11 second half threes.

Looks like it will be a Izzo, Self showdown. Hopefully our guys get to watch the first few minutes of this one. MSU got down 10 or 12 to zip, came back and won. It seems to me like everytime we lose to MSU we blow leads, 2 times in the champions classic and one in the sweet 16 in 09.
