Defense was a joke, rebounding was a joke and Mason fouled out with over 3 to go. JJ won us the game no doubt, but man him and LL could've took all the suspense outta of it.
A win is a win but Jesus boys work on fts. It a 6 point with makes.
FTS
Could TT get anymore calls??
Switch to zone. Worse d I've ever seen at any level.
Frank has to hit layups!!
@HawkChamp what effort and outside of JJ
Have to put Frank back in and get some stops, ISU all over again. How many damn times are we gonna blow leads boys??
No heart
Absolutely pathetic
Once again get up 10, then play like fools.
When is the last time Frank had 1 point and no FGs at the half. Maybe he still isn't feeling well.
Why do we play so piss poor with a double digit lead???
LL showed up today boys.
Good start bye JJ and LL. Everyone else needs to wake up.
Seems like Wade only shows up vs us, has 5 today.
10 minutes to go and KSU has already shot 34 FTs and missed several front ends of 1 for 1s.
Both teams gonna foul out about 4 guys at this rate.
I agree we only had 12 turnovers but most lead to dunks.
Ya no lie. KSUs press breaker is a million times better than ours. I hate our lob pass down the side that get picked or thrown poorly a lot.
@BeddieKU23 ya I don't really care who wins. I'd like to see KSU left out again this year. It's crazy to me that them losing to us at home improved their RPI from 54 to 38. No way are they are top 50 club.
KSU couldn't hit the ground with their hat in 3 trys.
The east coast bias is easily seen. I think the Grayson Allen deal and the 10 near misses are just to talk about duke. The bpi is a total F***in joke. The main reason I don't like ESPN lately is the gosh darn political BS. You fired several guys for having conservative views but praise guys with left wing views (I'm independent, they're all liars). I try not to watch because of these reasons unless we play. This is why I hope a mid west team wins the title in everything outside of being a fan of the royals and Jayhawks. I honestly think it hurts recruiting. I personally don't buy the Nike deal because if that's what it took we would be back to Nike really fast plus some of these East coast guys are adidas.
Just shooting, it's all technique and muscle memory. You did not want to miss ft at our practices back in the day. I spent Christmas break as a junior pretty much perfected my ft stroke. I seldom play BB anymore but last time I did with my nephew I still hit 8/10 not even picking up a ball in months. Our coach called you lazy if you couldn't make the free ones. He played college ball and shot 94% for his career at the line. Still holds records for most made in a game, most in a row (was 70 something) and career percentage. We would have to out shoot him or run and guess what? In the 3 years he coached us I never saw him miss a ft, no joke.
@drgnslayr Hard to say, I've personally thought for years we have played like shit with a lead and its one of the worst things this team and others back to pretty much 08 can do, get up early. The blowout thing doesn't bother me because it shows how evenly matched the B12 is. There are no nights off at all, look at last place OU going into second place at the time WV and winning. I'm not sure this league is the best but the last 2 years have had some great games and very even playing team. If we get a NC or FF pending how other leagues due I'll say B12 is #1. I think most of us would be fine with having 3 losses at this point most years with our SOS. The disappointment for me is that I felt like we flatout gave away the Indiana game as well as the ISU one. We are a few plays from being 23-1, but hopefully we live and learn.
@BeddieKU23 Yes it looks like it. Valentine may have gotten the shaft because they didn't keep assists as a stat back then.
@JayHawkFanToo thanks
Question, lets say Mason gets to 1800 points (1622 current) and 500 rebounds (451 Current), with all ready having 500 plus assists. Would that make him the first 1800, 500+ and 500+ player in our history? JW I could see a Langford, Valentine or a Manning having done that.

The current All time top 10 in KU points scored. I'm having trouble finding a ton on assists besides Miles holding the school and B12 record with 954, Mason has 511 now. Obviously he's not gonna catch Miles but Miles played much more as a freshman and wasn't near the scorer Mason is. Depending on how many games we play its not outta the question for him get to Sherron in 5th place on the scoring chart.
How about we have Chalmers at PG, Wigs at SG, JJ at SF, MK Morris at PF, Joel at C and MC Morris, Trob, PP, BRush, Hinrich, Arthur and Black on the bench. :bowtie:
My only question is will it be an old announcement after next Thursday?
Baylor barely escapes stillwater with a 3 point win.
To be honest I watched some of this game and I could've scored 60. The Ball kid didn't even go back on defense half the time because they knew the other was gonna score 90% of the time and threw it to him from across court for a dunk for probably half his points.
@Fightsongwriter MU couldn't make the final four if all but 3 teams were facing sanctions.
I thought KSU did play hard but is Mason diving in to the stands not playing hard smh
@Lulufulu Agreed, it was really just a prefect storm for them to win. They couldn't miss from deep and we could hang on to the ball or make a FT.
@wissox ya I'm poor folk too lol. I live 2 hours from Lawrence and get to once a year unless I get a steal.
This maybe the only first game that has taken so long the second game is has 15 minutes left
@wissox dam I wish KU tickets were cheaper but we're gonna pay lol.
@mayjay idk think there are seats that bad in AFH, maybe up in 13a or 9a.
@JayHawkFanToo na if it was MU the lights wouldn't be on 50 minutes before the tip.
@elpoyo lol it's a rivalry game. KSU coming within a bucket of us at AFH sucked but I'll take a road win in anyway. KSU did just beat our 2 main competitors for the B12 bye the way. KSU is better this year and most likely going to the NCAAs.
@KansasComet ya svi has really improved on putting the ball on the floor. I still wish we had a low post scoring threat but obviously we can make it with LL and Bragg keeping the defense honest. The turnovers are getting a little much was a big reason ISU beat us. 12 at KSU ain't bad considering we had 5 in the first few minutes, then cleaned it up. Rebounding continues to worry me, 21 second chance points for KSU was why it wasn't a blowout. First shot defense was probably the best it's been all year last night.
@KansasComet I agree DG has been a stat sheet filler because that's what we need from him with JJ and Frank scoring well. He had some bad TOs other than that he was good.
@Blown agreed anyone that has played BB knows it can be very physical.
I think most of us thought Frank would cool off and see his averages dip down, but not so far. At the beginning of the year I thought we would see DG be the main scorer with how Frank shot the ball last year (38%) from 3 and his (42%) low percentage at the rim. That we would be better with him not taking the shots...boy I was wrong lol.
