Fran.... smh. Man i hope Mason eats Morris's lunch tonight. I think the winner will be the team that makes the most 3 pointers. Both teams struggle to defend and to rebound. Could be a track meet and end up with a ton of points scored or will one coach put a rabbit outta of a hat and slow the game down to make the other guard in the half court.
I thought about going never been to the spring game.
@drgnslayr love JJs motor but he needs to continue to work on his shooting I believe he is at 24% from 3 currently. That along with FTS probably drops him to 5th pick
It's hard to say who's playing great, everyone has had bad games vs bad teams. Good teams play down to their opponents sometimes idk that I believe that we are doing that every game tho. As I said yesterday we haven't played a top half team in the B12 yet and have struggled with games at home that should have been blowouts. Seeing how Baylor handled KSU in the octogon of dumb was very surprising. WVU looked terrible for most of the game @texas missing their best player. Just hope to see us guard at some point we all know we will run into a team in the NCAAs that slows down the pace and makes us guard for the whole shot clock. If that game was today I'd say we lose it 8 of 10 times.

@brooksmd idk they definitely could. UCLA had a close call at Utah so doubt they do anything. Nova has had some trouble with crap teams like DePaul themselves. It's such a crap shoot these days with parity the way it is nowadays.
@BeddieKU23 very true, to me he looks rushed on offense but he hustles his ass off and gets us a few extra possessions.
OSU coach Brad Underwood told Mason after the game that he is the POY the year in his eyes and refuses to let KU lose. I'm very high Brad as I've said he grew up about 7 miles from my drive way. His team is scrappy and has good young fellas that will give us trouble for several years.
@jayballer54 good points buddy. Offensively we just had an off night but still put up 87. I continue to worry about the lack of defense especially in the post to go along with rebounding. It like which ever big we are playing is gonna have his career day, not all of this is on LL because he had to help too much with our guards letting up drive byes. Which lead to Soloman getting easy buckets. We are not close to playing to our capabilities and with that I'm not sure we are a top 5 club, but I'm a guy that don't care about rankings just about winning when it matters. Monday is the start of this tough stretch and if we don't play better it will be tough to go .500 in it. I'm looking for toughness and composure. We will find out a lot about this club in the next few weeks. RCJH.

Frank finally cooled off shooting 6/16 and 1/4 from 3 but most importantly he still got his with 22 points. DG had a good line as did JJ outside of shooting %. Our bigs were a joke combined for 7 points and 13 rebounds, all but one board was LL. Come on Bragg we need you.
@KUSTEVE our offense has been good all year, even tho we didn't shoot well today. Any other year if we score over 85 it's a blowout 95% of the time. I think we will learn a lot Monday about how tough we are.

We maybe ranked 1 Monday morning but ain't playing like a top 25 team. We have this 5-0 start against teams that won't finish in the top half of this league. The losses are coming and a lot of them if we don't pick it up.
Last 4 minutes here which ever team can get a few stops will win.

They are out hustling us up and down the floor both ways. The longer we play lazy defense and brick open shots, allow them to hang around, the better chance of them winning.

@wrwlumpy My wife was at KU during the pants on backwards, they chanted it ever time he touched the ball, lol. Is it just me or is the pick of the cheerleaders with go Beavs in the back ground kinda funny.

@jaybate-1.0 i like that saying but it's hardly true in most sports. Over half the teams in this league will go to the NCAAs. I always told my my team to get a 1% better ever day. In most high-schools here in KS everyone gets to substate anyways, win when it matters. I'm okay playing good early but not many teams regress as the season goes on most improve, I think we are better than the team that lost to Indiana. Just my 2 cents.
@HawkInMizery ya I just decided to go Saturday morning because GA was only $45. Which I know where I like to sit in that section and it's better than 2/3s of the reserved that were 3 or 4 times that cost.

Watching our next 2 opponents battle in stillwater ISU up 47 to 46 at the half. No defense has been played whatsoever, both teams can really spread the floor and hit shots.

also the Nigel Johnson kid that transfered with Foster is the leading scorer for Rutgers, and Angel Rod was damn good at Miami the last few years. They are hands down the best B12 team this year with Foster and Johnson.

I'd like to add that if anyone wants to fill out a missing report for Carlton now would be the time. 10 minutes 1 rebound, 3 blocks and 2 fouls.
I agree, biggest concerns are the same as they have been all year to me rebounding and defense. The second half may have been the best half we have had all year. JJ has start hitting open jump shots, we all knew teams would start to sag off of him to prevent the drive and dare him to shoot. Frank was great in the second, if any PG is better at this point idk who. I still feel like we are counting on 3s too much and will need post scoring at some point. One game at a time lets go boys!
