Rob Likens has accepted a job with Arizona State , details were not given but he as expected is gone. I don't think this is a big loss as Beaty pretty much did his job last year, no reason for him to stay. Garrett Riley who has been on the staff as an offensive analyst for the past year has been promoted to QB coach and an offensive assistant. I think this could be a good move he worked a lot at east Carolina with his brother Lincoln who has been great at OU for the past few seasons as OC. I believe this to be a good step for Beaty sounds like he will still be OC but wont be the QB coach.
That foul was a joke as a former coach, player and official if anyone thinks that east coast bias doesn't exist is flat out blind. I think KU gets a few calls most the time at home as do most teams but the guys on over there get every call in every game, how many hand checking calls do these teams get compared to us or most other schools, its BS and its obvious too.

I only watched a bit of this game. I honestly think UNC is the better team and will end up going deeper. I know they lost but Monk was flatout insane and still dam near it win. He wont have another game like that in a long time if ever.
I don't see that happening this year. Mainly because we have a lot of experience on this team. That and UNLV is terrible guys, Dook hammered them by 40 in Las Vegas. Our reserves should beat this team no question.

@Texas-Hawk-10 I read some stuff online today that if we didnt give him a raise he was headed to texas to be the OC or WR coach for more money. I like that he is getting a HC salary now, hopefully it works and we keep him around.

@BeddieKU23 the running hook is the best post shot a player can learn becuase it is almost impossible to block without fouling. Thats why it's crazy that its seldom used these days.
@brooksmd 100% agreed just dunk the ball or a simple lob. I know JJ wants to make noise but we don't have to have a top 10 play every night.
I really think Wayne has the best shot of this group to make an NBA roster. Perry and Cliff will most likely end up over seas, which isn't always bad Langford has had a great career and made good money over there.
@ralster Ya I think JJ's shot is ugly and starts way to low but with him only being here a year we cant really change it, will just have to work on it. My thought is that I would sag off of him until he proves he can hit from the outside and bet will see that start to happen once the conference season starts. He just needs to hit a few to keep the defense honest. Doke we have time to adjust his shot and he is already shooting terrible @JayHawkFanToo so I think now is the time, I did think he had some nice foot work a few times Saturday which I liked.

Kansas controlled thru out in a 89-72 victory over Nebraska, their 18th in a row against the former B12 foe. I thought we came out a little sluggish and let them think they had a shot for a few minutes. I think our guards played well which has become the norm, Mason lead us yet again with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists(all in first half). DG had 14 points but didn't really get his usual amount of assists with only 1 today with 3 rebounds. JJ continued his explosive play and finished with 17 points. Svi was great off the bench with 15 points, besides the off the back board pass to JJ for a missed dunk that left a scowl on mine and Selfs face. Most importantly especially with Bragg being out Landen Lucas has made an appearance with his best game thus far, 12 points, 7 rebounds and a block in 19 minutes. Doke had a couple of nice moves and finished with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. The rebounding wasn't great as we only outrebounded them by one, 36-35. Fts continue to hurt this club and probably will til Doke and JJ figure out (Combined 4 for 12) how to make them and if that doesn't happen soon we could lose one because of it once the schedule stiffens up. The defense was maddening to me, we over helped several times and lost track of our man leading to open dunks and lay ups. They only average 68 points and letting up 72 to them in our building along with 16 offense rebounds tells me we didn't play with enough pride on that end of the floor. The biggest thing going forward is for us to develop Doke and Lightfoot because we may not have Bragg for some time and we will need quality minutes from them if not Coleby as well.
@Crimsonorblue22 my prediction? At this point I'd say Ku by 20 in Allen and by 12 in Norman.
Yes Texass this year lol. I thought they were very lucky and got every call in the second half, texas was in the double bonus and LBSU wasn't even in the bonus.
@JayHawkFanToo agreed, when I played we practiced getting the ball in against 10 players and that was tough. With the likes of Mason, DG, Vick, Svi and JJ there is no reason whatsoever that we don't embarrass teams that pressure us.

Long Beach state up at Texas at the half by 6. Yes the team we whipped by 30. I tell you some people are talking about how good the B12 is and I am not buying it at all outside of baylor, Ku and wvu. OU ended up losing to WSU by 3 in OKC. I have now watched everyone but TT and it has been ugly to put it nicely, but it is early at least.
