Wow zero energy again, living up to the lazies nickname I’ve gave them

My crisis of faith in Bill • Jan 20, 2025 10:29 PM

I have agree with @MoonwalkMafia and have alluded to it several times that certain players have such a long leash compared to others. Cliff Alexander should’ve played much more over Jamari after the first semester. Both Udeh and Zuby are better than KJ IMO on that matter.

2024 NFL Season • Jan 19, 2025 10:56 PM

Great game in Philly, Stafford almost pulled out magic but a sack sealed his fate

KState game thread • Jan 19, 2025 10:55 PM

@approxinfinity and @Jhawk69 this is why I’m saying it’s so important to get Rylen and AJ going. There isn’t a ton of threat of us hitting threes outside of Zeke. Shak has played hard and is a good defender but offensively you only have to respect Zeke and Hunt. Most teams have 3 or 4 players with a foot in the paint against us at all times.

KState game thread • Jan 19, 2025 08:48 PM

I would love to see a little more Griffen and Storr in Fort Worth. I think we played Flory a bit too much vs KSU with Hawkins. Would like to see a little more 4 guard with the right combination in this next one. Offense seems to not flow well with Shak and Juan out so we need to do better at subbing them IMO.

Like I’ve been saying for some time, this country and world lack so much accountability. The Texans had a great game plan and it worked the difference in the game was special teams and sacks. The refs didn’t miss an extra point and two FGs with the one blocked. The chiefs used a couple of nice returns to setup their offense well. The Texans couldn’t protect Stroud period

KState game thread • Jan 19, 2025 01:38 AM

I’m glad I ain’t the only one not impressed after today

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 19, 2025 12:59 AM

I told a buddy the other day this game scared me the most with how good Houston’s defense is. Between AFC and NFC I think the best two defenses just played today. Next week won’t be easy no matter what but I think we will score more points.

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 19, 2025 12:56 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 Yes Houston will be back if they play their cards right in the offseason.

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 19, 2025 12:05 AM

It’s nasty out and has been all day, great win

@kjayhawks I wasn't being a dick. I was asking about Justin Reid

Yes he came back thought you meant coach lol you know I love a little banter back and back we good.

@nuleafjhawk said in Former Texans vs Current Texans:

My TV glitched momentarily. Is Reid ok?

He’s back now with that play call

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 11:42 PM

There we go

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 11:34 PM

@dylans they have needed to for the last 3 years

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 11:31 PM

Once again I wish we could run the ball

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 11:21 PM

@dylans said in Former Texans vs Current Texans:

lol Mahomes is falling on his face and throws a TD to Kelce who is just standing there wide open in the end zone. It must be so deflating to root against Mahomes.

Right the game will be all about the officiating. Sucks because that was a great play and the refs don’t miss extra points/FGs

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 11:17 PM

Boy Kelce is rusty as hell today, playing his best game of the year

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 11:14 PM

@nuleafjhawk said in Former Texans vs Current Texans:

@kjayhawks you should quit taking them then. Call the announcers names - they've said the same thing several times

Haven’t heard them say anything about it once on the first drive that they didn’t go anywhere. Haha

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 11:10 PM

@nuleafjhawk well you tell me I guess if they got down by 10 id say you was right. Get out to a 10 point, Jesus team must be rusty smh. Drugs are bad man

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 11:01 PM

@nuleafjhawk said in Former Texans vs Current Texans:

It's almost like the Chiefs are out of sync. Rusty. Too much time off. HmmmšŸ¤”. Who da thunk?

Ummm not really they literally only won a few games by more than one score. They were up 13-3 idk if I’d call them rusty. But hey I’m logical

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 10:57 PM

This is why I get worried when we can’t run the ball. They can milk the clock so much

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 10:52 PM

Defense gets them in 2nd and low but can’t get off the field

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 10:28 PM

@AsadZ said in Former Texans vs Current Texans:

These commentators are very pro Texans

Whole world against Chiefs

Been that way for 2 years, I agree that the roughing call was weak but by rule it was correct he did hit him helmet to helmet.

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 10:21 PM

@nuleafjhawk what do you expect from a Mizzou guy smh

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 10:10 PM

There we go offense

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 10:02 PM

Bolton is the slowest LB in the NFL

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 09:46 PM

Chris Jones is probably my favorite chief on this team. Why wouldn’t double on third down lol I’ll take it all day.

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 09:38 PM

@dylans said in Former Texans vs Current Texans:

Andy….don’t get cute around the goal line! lol can’t help himself.

Yes times a 1000% the gadget plays haven’t worked in 2 years for the most part. We will need touchdowns at some point

Former Texans vs Current Texans • Jan 18, 2025 09:20 PM

Our lack of running game worries me

My crisis of faith in Bill • Jan 18, 2025 08:15 PM

@Jhawk69 very valid but Self built this team to have a bench. Dude even said he was thinking about this team while we was getting spanked by Gonzaga. Not sure what planet that at least a fair portion of the blame isn’t on Self and his inability to build a team.

My crisis of faith in Bill • Jan 18, 2025 08:13 PM

@COHawk said in My crisis of faith in Bill:

Many interesting and some valid points have been raised. It's so easy to look for mistakes, issues, etc. in coaches and players, especially when we certainly have been spoiled throughout the years. Chemistry is such a huge part of any team; this team right now doesn't seem to have tons of it. Also seem to be similar to the past couple years in that we're not very mentally or physically tough.
Hard to believe that no one has brought up how bad David McCormick was several years ago and how HCBS protected him. Too soft to be a big winner. Seem to recall Remy was not too highly thought of either for a good part of the year.

Other than the 2019 pieced together Lawson crew this is easily the weakest mental team of the Self era

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 08:12 PM

@KirkIsMyHinrich ya really not a lot to complain about with the starters outside of some of the expected freshman mistakes of Flory. The bench was just flat out gross today. Storr at least scored a little so it helped but defensively that ain’t gonna cut it.

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 08:02 PM

@Jhawk69 said in KState game thread:

@BeddieKU23 What would be the point of calling for others to play instead of KJ if people didn't believe that doing so would make us better?

I honestly don’t think KJ would’ve made a big difference in this one either way. We had every chance to run them out of the gym. We probably win by a little more with on defense with how bad Passmore, Griffen and Storr were on that end.

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:55 PM

I said if we lost I was done with this team and then I said if we couldn’t at least win by double digits it would feel like a loss. Haha we win by 10, 2-0 on the day my son’s team won this morning. Let’s go Chiefs!

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:49 PM

The starters have been fine today, Bill Self said he found a bench. Todays game has determined that was lie (Maury Voice)

@BeddieKU23 said in KState game thread:

This will be such a different game in mancrappy.

I’m worried we will get beat there especially with how we have looked on the road the last 2 years

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:41 PM

Bs call there

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:40 PM

Flory stop trying to take it coast to coast

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:35 PM

@approxinfinity we have actually been up double digits about 75% of the game. We just aren’t playing defense and letting them hang around

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:33 PM

Juan is quietly playing one of his best games of the year.

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:32 PM

I hate how we dribble so much offensively

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:31 PM

Smh guess we will sweat one out at home to a 7-9 team smh. The effort on the glass isn’t there like it was the first 5 minutes

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:22 PM

Lock down on defense and put this game on ice

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:14 PM

My goodness guys wake up

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:10 PM

@dylans I bet it’s better than Griffens because he has at least scored 7 points. I’d be willing to bet everyone is positive besides Griffen, Coit and Passmore

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:06 PM

Yay free throws

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 07:01 PM

@BeddieKU23 we take a huge step backwards on defense once we go to the bench

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 06:56 PM

Great start by Hunt, that’s what we need sir

KState game thread • Jan 18, 2025 06:52 PM

Tang is gonna go inside and try to get us in foul trouble here. Good adjustment
