Good for Kevin to hear his name called I wasn’t a 100% sure he would. @drgnslayr yea the second round can become a G-League purgatory for a career real quick. @Texas-Hawk-10 they only drafted him to keep Bron for a few more years no chance he plays meaningful minutes on a contending team.
@dylans @FarmerJayhawk they really did screw over the community and state in that situation. I’m not sure Hunt would move the team anywhere besides Dallas-Fort Worth area where is from but not sure it would work with the cowboys.

Oddly enough we just got back Sunday from KC, we did a private tour of arrowhead not knowing how much longer it would be there. I hope the chiefs move to Kansas for sure but it has to be the right situation. I don’t want higher taxes, if that’s what it takes I’m out. You don’t want me to get going on the tax situation in this country. The Hunt family is worth Billions of dollars they could probably pay for a large chunk of it and fundraise the rest if they really wanted a new stadium. The cheaper suites in that place are north of a 100k a year and have to be reserved for a 5 year span. Most of them were nicer then houses. It was a pretty cool experience. The top of that place is super sketchy about like climbing a ladder and you feel like you’re gonna fall down while sitting.

@Crimsonorblue22 definitely true and false accusations are huge part of that issue. We all should be up in arms about it for that very reason.
@DanR it definitely does make you scratch your head on the matter with Morris I’d like to think Self and Co did some investigating of their own. The same probably happened with Shannon because he still played. I’ve seen false allegations destroy peoples lifes too often the last handful of years since the metoo and believe all women movements.

Right now most places have him going from 15-20th so it’s really hard to blame anyone that goes in that first round especially in his situation with no NIL. I honestly think he could’ve stay and been a top 5 pick but no reason to risk that. Good luck young fella

It’s my understanding the board of regents is the only reason KU isn’t in the big 10 at the moment, little bro didn’t want to get left out . Everything right now is leaning towards 2 super conferences and the rest are gonna be farm systems in a sense. If either the SEC or B10 come calling we have to answer immediately if we still want to be considered elite in athletics. If I’m the B10 I’m calling KU, Louisville, UNC and Clemson before the SEC can.
@approxinfinity he struggles defending taller posts and struggles keeping guards in front of him. The improvement on his shot was very noticeable this past season but a long ways from me saying he is very good at shooting from inside the arc. To each their own brother
@FarmerJayhawk I’m fine if KJ still starts, I’m beating a dead horse here but a guy that can’t guard, shoot or rebound doesn’t need to be out there for 30 plus minutes a game. An extended Lightfoot type of role playing 15-20 a game max I think will serve us well.
@dylans 7 drops would be a vast improvement from a WR core that lead the league in dropped passes. I think he only had 3 drops this past season, you are going to a few drops here and there unless you are Larry Fitzgerald.
I’m really liking the first two picks and I think those are definitely gaps that need to be filled. I hope if Jones (OT Texas) or if Booker is still on the board they pick one of them up

With him not being able to get the NIL money, can’t really blame the kid. It stinks for both him and us because I firmly believe he’s a top 5 pick next season if he stays. I hope it works out but so many good players end up in the G league and then over seas. I’ve always said this a bout the NBA-They will draft you off of potential, but give you little to no time to develop that potential. The G league has made vast improvements the last few years so hopefully that helps. If he has a good combine, he could sneak into the first round which would be huge. Crazy to think about a kid averaging single digits across the board being a OAD honestly.

@AsadZ I would think at this point he is reevaluating quite a bit. I definitely get ticked at Self from time to time, as you said and he has openly stated mistakes himself. I get frustrated when people on here act like he’s perfect which no one is in any light. Bright side don’t believe any KU fans are sending death threats like the bluegrass goons. I really think changes to the staff especially conditioning practices are at the top of the list. I heard a couple of months ago Manning was coming back but the talk of it has quieted down. I think Vaughn and Manning need to come back with Vaughn being the coach in waiting probably won’t ever happen.

@nuleafjhawk Right that’s my deal we have more first weekend exits than they do missed tournaments. To me when we lose in the first or second round, it really doesn’t feel like we were in the tournament to begin with. To me NCs are worth a lot. Now if they lost last night I would be on the fence and before last season I’d definitely take ours over theirs. Think about it they have more NCs the last 25 years and than KU, Kentucky, Dook and UCLA Combined!! After this season I think you have to start adding them to a blue blood conversation.
UConn is feast or Famine by all accounts. The last 25 years they have missed the tournament 9 times but have made 8 final fours and won 6 championships. I guess the question is would you rather have their resume or ours? I’d take theirs all day personally. We have 6 final fours and 2 titles in the same time frame in 9 more chances.
Ended up just like I said you keep Edey honest and make him earn his, don’t let anyone else beat you. It’s the same story as usual it takes elite guards and superior coaching every march. Edey is the best Big in the country by a wide margin, UConn’s guards were light years better on both ends than Purdues.
Crazy how much better Purdues conditioning is than ours. Edey has sub out for a total of 33 seconds the last two games. Our guys are exhausted after 31 minutes.
Edey looks good and already getting calls, I just turned it off. Edey travels often and constantly throws elbows with zero whistles. I honestly don’t care who wins. If Im Uconn, I let Edey work for his but make sure no one else gets anything.
