That’s Neal biggest issue zero top end speed

Lindenwood Lions • Aug 30, 2024 12:29 AM

This is the KU football we all know and don’t love so far lol. Did they let Beaty back on the side line?

Lindenwood Lions • Aug 30, 2024 12:24 AM

Wow JD can’t look down your receiver like that smh that’s middle school stuff

Lindenwood Lions • Aug 30, 2024 12:23 AM

Need to run the ball

Lindenwood Lions • Aug 30, 2024 12:20 AM

Really sloppy but as to be expected for a first qtr, Skinners fumble hurt

I’ll go Kansas 55 to 10, LL won’t run it up to bad tho it’s a game we could likely win by 60.

Updates on KU rookies in NFL • Aug 28, 2024 11:42 PM

It’s hard to gauge just preseason games but Jason Bean was the best QB in a Colts uniform during them and by a wide margin IMO. Ehlinger sucked at Texas and sucks now

Lindenwood Lions • Aug 27, 2024 11:23 PM

I’m both excited and nervous over Jalen playing, he has to for sure but yes one hit on him and we are gonna be lucky to make a bowl game. I’m also excited at the same time to see him play and hopefully return to form because he can be a special player. Also something that hasn’t really been mentioned yet is new offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes gets to debut
his offensive for the first time. Coach K was brilliant and is IMO one of the best young offensive minds in the game. Well wishes to him at PSU, the pre snap movement and glitches were an art.

@nuleafjhawk crazy to think that KU had a winning record historically when MM left.

I can’t blame anyone that doesn’t believe in KU football. May question their football intellect if they don’t think Neal is a damn good player. Jalon’s health is obviously the main concern. I think the schedule could end being tougher than most think. Week 2 going on the road to a B10 school won’t be easy. WVU id bet money plays PSU tight in week 1 and if they win, they will be ranked. To me with Jalon playing a whole season anything less than 10-2 is a step backwards. The most important thing is getting to a third consecutive bowl game, never been done here before.

Lindenwood Lions • Aug 25, 2024 10:23 PM

I probably wouldn’t know Lindenwood existed if not for a gal I was fooling with in highschool going there lol. This maybe the easiest game we have ever scheduled they are most likely worse than the 2016 Rhode Island Rams that we beat 56-6. It’s always tough with no preseason in college and no FCS schools in Kansas. SEC teams are notorious for having garbage non conference schedules. I’d be shocked if we didn’t win this game by 60 points. Good news maybe Jalon only has to play a half to knock off rust.

The "crap on Trump" thread • Aug 20, 2024 12:12 PM

Not open Pandora’s box but we all know Epstein didn’t make it because he had dirt on both side of the political spectrum. That’s probably the fastest way to die in this country. Those flight logs that took years to be released smh.

The "crap on Trump" thread • Aug 20, 2024 03:05 AM

@nuleafjhawk that covers 90% of the people in office.

Tim Walz • Aug 09, 2024 11:15 PM

@wissox sounds like you and I are in a similar predicament. I won’t ever vote Democrat as long as I’m above the ground lol. I literally can not financially afford for Harris to win. Everything doubled under Bidens regime. Filling up my truck with gas is double, buying groceries is double, lumber/building materials doubled, Obama doubled my family’s health care premiums. I know it’s not popular on here and it’s not all on who’s in the White House. But working class Americans can’t do this much longer. Then you have CNN blowing about how this is the greatest economy and people are doing better than they ever have right. I’ve seen zero evidence to suggest that in the real world, the opposite I see daily. It’s ridiculous to only owe my house that I’ve lived in for 10 years, got multiple promotions/raises and still barely get by. I don’t live above my means, don’t have a boat or camper nothing of that nature.

Tim Walz • Aug 09, 2024 07:03 PM

@FarmerJayhawk šŸ’Æ spot on sir. People that think the government has any intention of helping its people should pick up a book. History proves quite the opposite in almost every single instance.

Fairchild signed • Aug 05, 2024 04:22 AM

I think he has a chance of making the final roster, he’s a great guy too

Best Westerns (not Hotels) • Aug 02, 2024 03:15 PM

I was just telling my Wife I feel like I know getting old because I dislike most music playing on the radio these days and I’d rather watch movies from the 80s and 90s. We will go to the Theater every now and again to watch. We will discuss it on the way home and most movies are just okay. I probably haven’t watched a movie made the last 10 years more than once. I love when a movie ends and you have to sit there for a minute to process what you just saw. Thats Cinema my friends, it just doesn’t happen much with new releases.

Best Westerns (not Hotels) • Aug 02, 2024 04:06 AM

@FarmerJayhawk blazing saddles is great for sure, saw a post on x the other day that said blazing saddles has had its run time cut to prevent offending people, official run time of 7 minutes and 8 seconds lol

Best Westerns (not Hotels) • Aug 02, 2024 03:18 AM

@approxinfinity never watched deadwood, will have to check it out. The quick and the dead is a decent one for sure, Hackman is underrated IMO. He can really take over a scene Mississippi Burning is one of my favorites of his.

Best Westerns (not Hotels) • Aug 02, 2024 01:48 AM

The spacing never shows up right on my phone from preview to the actual post.

Best Westerns (not Hotels) • Aug 02, 2024 01:46 AM

Just killing sometime here while I’m getting bored with the Olympics. Thought I’d rank my 5 favorite western movies and see what the consensus on them is here.

  1. Tombstone, Starring Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell with an awesome supporting cast of Sam Elliot and Billy Bob Thornton. Val Kilmer’s Doc holiday steals the show in this classic tale of the Earp brothers shootout and vendetta ride again Cochise county cowboys.

  2. The Jack Bull, Staring John Cusack and John Goodman. Covers the early stages of America becoming a nation of laws and how far one man will go for justice no matter the cost. A very underrated HBO original flim.

  3. Legends of the Fall, starring Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt. A family in rural Montana must learn to cope with the world at war, loss and ultimately redemption. Great movie one of the first to put Brad Pitt on the map and has one of the greatest quotes in cinema history that is true more today than ever. ā€œIndians! Indians were the issue in those days. I can assure you, gentlemen, there is nothing quite so grotesque as the meeting of a child with a bullet; or an entire village slaughtered while sleeping. That was the Government's resolution of that particular issue and I have seen nothing in its behavior since then that would persuade me that it has gained either in wisdom, common sense, or humanity.ā€ Colonel Ludlow

  4. True Grit, I’m talking the original John Wayne 1969 film. A 14 year old gets help avenging the murder of her dad with help from a US Marshall. The 2010 remake isn’t bad but you can’t have a western list with out John Wayne.

  5. Dances with wolves, starring Kevin Costner as Lieutenant John Dunbar a union solider that while escaping death decides to spend life on the Kansas frontier befriending indigenous people and animals. I probably watched this movie at least once a week as a kid. One of the few movies we owned with our 4 channels.

Feel free to chime in what western movie you enjoy or any movie you think we all should see.

Need Games To Start • Jul 31, 2024 02:57 AM

@dylans it’s been weird for sure @RockkChalkk it ain’t his fault they keep showing him. He’s there supporting his country and several friends. Kinda like the Taylor Swift hate at chiefs games, she there supporting her BF literally nothing wrong with it.

Need Games To Start • Jul 30, 2024 03:05 AM

I think my favorite part of the Olympics so far has been snoop dogg carrying the torch. I’m a big fan of his and how he came from the streets like me, I just can’t rap lol.

TBT thread • Jul 26, 2024 03:52 PM

Lawson playing hero ball just like he did when he was here. Overall I think the team was much better than the past few years.

Dream Team 2024 vs 1992 • Jul 24, 2024 02:42 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I think that’s a fair assessment, this years team plays zero defense to me is the main issue. If they played Jordan likely goes for 60 plus.

@bskeet it’s been several years go now, he passed in 2019 but the last 5 or 6 years he had no idea who I was.

Dream Team 2024 vs 1992 • Jul 22, 2024 03:01 AM

I was just talking about this with my kids how the Olympics don’t seem to matter anymore. Professional athletes are just going thru the motions and showing effort. It’s sad I remember them being a huge deal as a kid and loved watching them on one of the 3 channels we had. The dream team would mop the floor with these guys.

Need to be proud of our Boy • Jul 22, 2024 02:58 AM

Jason was definitely frustrating to watch at times but you got to give him a ton of props for staying. He could’ve gotten and started at a lot of D1 schools. It will be interesting to see what happens but nice he has options. It will be super hard to cut a guy with his speed.

As a guy that’s on not on either side it’s ridiculous it’s taken this long. Anyone that has watched a debate or Biden interview the last 2 years is lying to themselves and everyone else if they say he looks competent to run anything. I believe he has dementia or Alzheimer’s, it unfortunate and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I put my dad in a nursing home when I 24 years old and he was only 58 to early onset dementia. Hopefully he can get treatment and live out his days happy.

Mass St vs Purple Reign • Jul 18, 2024 09:46 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 he’s listed on the roster but I know nothing more

Mass St vs Purple Reign • Jul 18, 2024 12:24 PM

@Jhawk69 doesn’t sound like it was streamed and that may have been a good thing. Our boys got their butts kicked pretty good. We were missing TRob and Frank two huge pieces but hopefully this will help them

More Realignment Talk • Jul 18, 2024 12:28 AM

I think the best option is still to go to the B10 or SEC. But if the ACC implodes would the B12 still be considered a power conference with the other 2 if they added let’s say FSU, Clemson, NC state, UL and Miami? I think it would be pretty damn tough to not consider that a power conference. The best thing that this conference can do is send a team to the CFB or 2 and win some games. Academically I think will take about anyone we have WVU and TT. If I’m not mistaken WVU is one the lowest rated D1 academic programs in the land. It was really silly to add them they brought very little to nothing to the table. Mostly average athletics and very small media market.

2024-25 Kansas Basketball Schedule • Jul 18, 2024 12:15 AM

@MR11 I’ve been fortunate enough to sit in many seats in AFH. My favorite was 5 rows behind the KU bench (free from 30 yr season ticket holders) and my least favorite up in 13a or 9a. Easily the worst seats and hard to get in and out of.

Tornados • Jul 17, 2024 02:20 PM

@approxinfinity yay!! I finally got some points lol

Tornados • Jul 14, 2024 11:52 PM

@approxinfinity Yes most government officials should wear NASCAR type jackets with all the money that flows in thru the back door.

Tornados • Jul 14, 2024 02:59 AM

@FarmerJayhawk terms limits should be the number 1 priority. @Texas-Hawk-10 you definitely have some valid points sir. But the system is part of the issue, very very few families have a parent that says home. Up until the late 90s most moms stayed at home and raised children now someone else raises our children most the time. The average week day I get a few hours with my kids as does my wife.

Tornados • Jul 13, 2024 10:20 PM

@approxinfinity as I always say good times create weak people. Tough times create strong people, if you look at the cycle maybe we were too good from after WW2 to the 1990s. I tell my kids constantly this generation is so weak if you are willing to put in the work you will easily make it. As a guy that hires people, if I can find someone that will show up and stay on task below the age of 30. It’s an Absolute miracle and an act of god himself.

Tornados • Jul 13, 2024 04:26 AM

@nuleafjhawk I’m a registered independent for a reason not sure how anyone can not be embarrassed by claiming one of main parties in this country really for the past few decades. I tell people all the time if everyone had the guts for actual change, they’d vote for someone not affiliated with those parties. Vote every last one of them out. I’d bet a hefty amount the average person would be better at budgeting. Imagine you and your wife being broke, then deciding to spend more money that you didn’t have. Common sense and logic in Washington could fix about 75% of the issues in this country.

Tornados • Jul 13, 2024 02:47 AM

@approxinfinity it’s very sad how true that is, I feel Washington is starved on those type of people.

2024-25 Kansas Basketball Schedule • Jul 13, 2024 02:45 AM

@FarmerJayhawk we may just go to a football game this year. Cost us $1100 as a family to go to a BB game last season. Thats was driving in for a mid day tip and coming back without hotels cost or anything. Like I’ve been saying the last few years, they are going price out average fans real quick in sports if they ain’t careful.

Tornados • Jul 13, 2024 02:43 AM

@approxinfinity I think we could put our minds together and do a better fairly easily is the sad part lol.

2024-25 Kansas Basketball Schedule • Jul 12, 2024 09:34 PM

@FarmerJayhawk it did need some updating for sure not sure how I feel about the seating going down will prob make tickets a little more expensive.

Tornados • Jul 12, 2024 09:28 PM

@nuleafjhawk the entire infrastructure of this country is failing and you don’t have to be a genius to figure it out or put solutions in place to fix it. Both sides are plenty corrupt and are lining their own pockets with our money. It will be the less of two evils in November if there is such a thing. One man has made a living as a con artist the other likes sniffing children and seems to have the brain capacity of a toddler on his best day.

Tornados • Jul 12, 2024 12:03 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 thinking positively things could be much worse. But yes with probably cry with cost of groceries right now in this country absolutely ludicrous.

@approxinfinity Ya that was a bunch of BS and couldn’t stand him much before but zero after that. Most Duke guys make it so easy to hate them. Imagine Jamari pulling that BS when the Mildcat fan bumped him.

Summer league • Jul 07, 2024 04:11 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 I feel like the royals are never in TV anymore. I think you have to buy another subscription service with Bally smh I’m really starting to miss the cable days

Thoughts On 2024 Schedule • Jul 05, 2024 04:40 AM

I wonder how cheap tickets will be for arrowhead games and how expensive they will get for Mercy park. I think that place only holds like 17k people

Chalmers & Sherron • Jul 05, 2024 04:36 AM

They were both in the little preview before games on CBS for years after the shot happened. It’s gotta be tough on those guys that didn’t get the NIL cash in there hay day. Mario should have good money from his pro career not sure Sherron has a ton of money.

@Texas-Hawk-10 we’ll find out in time either way but several players looked like gods on highschool highlight films. Shoot several Jayhawks even that never made it to the pros or even played meaningful minutes here.

@Texas-Hawk-10 I don’t want to throw shade at Bronny. I genuinely hope he runs with this opportunity, he is blessed to be born into the right family. Also not to hate to LeBron I’d do anything for not only my kids but most kids in general. This fell into their lap, let’s see what happens. But I have seen nothing from watching him play sparingly at USC that he is even remotely close to being an NBA caliber player. Yes LeBron is an unbelievably gifted athlete and one of the best to do it but that doesn’t guarantee his son is the same. A couple of Jordan’s kids played CBB too and weren’t drafted have much better numbers than Bronny. He young and will get his shot so congratulations to him but I don’t expect him to turn into anything but a G-league or practice squad guy.
