@stoptheflop isn’t NFL switching to a similar kick off style? I feel like that phase of the game since they moved it forward is a touchback 95% time. Crazy to imagine games with out Hester and Hall making an impact back in the day

Just announced that Ayoka Lee for KSU was granted a 7th year of eligibility smh that’s ridiculous to me.

My men’s bracket sucked but just won my women’s bracket at the wife’s work place with over 200 entries. 3 of 4 final four right, championship game and champion picked right ranked in the 99.8% on espn. So many less upsets it’s really much easier to pick.

@kuballin10 @FarmerJayhawk Nate Oats is a douche on all fronts

I read a nice article unfortunately I don’t have a link for y’all. It was an interview with Hurley asking him how he still gets max out of his players when most transfer when asked to be accountable. He said he is coaching harder and holding guys to much higher standard with their NIL package. Said basically they are getting good money to be playing there and if they don’t go hard they can leave. Really hope Bill gets back to that, I feel he’s been a little soft the last 2 years.

@Crimsonorblue22 Girl and daughter named her Lilo from lilo and stitch Disney movie. It was her 6th birthday gift. She is in the mouthing/chewing stages so it’s fun.

Very interesting Tang has announced that he is staying at KSU. My Arkansas guy says they want Brad Underwood or Andy Kennedy and never even got legs with Tang.

@nuleafjhawk my job is starting to piss me off as well lol. We have a new Golden Retriever puppy

KJ Adams • Apr 05, 2024 01:34 PM

I’m glad he is staying, him and Juan maybe the last 4-5 year guys that go thru our program. He needs to improve significantly shooting and rebounding or he needs to be coming off the bench and only playing 15 minutes a game. Can’t have guys with his skill set playing 30 plus minutes a game and be successful

Woof woof NC state

Props to Uconn • Mar 31, 2024 06:04 PM

@BeddieKU23 Yes multiple people blowing and going on here that we beat them. They weren’t healthy in the slightest and still gave us all we wanted is the way I looked at it especially being at home. I’d much rather be in their position than ours. Who cares about a December game in March/April. If they can win the title this season I believe it’s 6 since 1999 that’s pretty elite.

@bskeet at this point I’m like anyone but Dook and UConn but pulling for NC state

@nuleafjhawk I still have eligibility left not playing in college. My 35 year old knees are junk but just shot 80% from the line at the gym playing with the neighbor kid lol

SO - Who Are You Rooting For? • Mar 29, 2024 11:28 PM

I’m going for NC State, every year before the tournament I watch “Survive and Advance”

Other bball games • Mar 29, 2024 03:09 AM

The question is almost the same as last year at this time, can anyone play with UConn? Is Brad Underwood finally doing something in March

Other bball games • Mar 28, 2024 11:59 AM

@benshawks08 for sure and the women don’t change teams near as often at this point you look at Angel at LSU and Caitlin at Iowa. You could argue the women’s have more familiarity and stories other than a whole new team after a year or two.

Generic soccer thread • Mar 28, 2024 12:09 AM

@wissox I was told the boys got out coached 🤣🤣

Other bball games • Mar 28, 2024 12:02 AM

The tournament isn’t ever going down in sizzle and never will be hosed by the better seeds. It is a spectacle that generates a crap load of money. The networks want the upsets and attention from them. Love it or hate it everyone knows what the deal is.

Zigging the Zags • Mar 27, 2024 02:13 PM

@approxinfinity I posted that to mess with Ballin. I think our defense was solid first half of the year, just fell apart later stages for some reason. Some of it was Kevin vs Timberlake defensively, that didn’t work well lol.

What about 2020? • Mar 27, 2024 01:01 AM

@approxinfinity it definitely has hurt us a lot thinking of Doke, big Dub, kevin, Haase and Joel

What about 2020? • Mar 26, 2024 10:53 PM

@wissox I think the 2022 team to me is likely the 4th or 5th best team since Bill has been here. They got a good road and that makes a difference for sure. I have always said the best team probably wins the men’s tournament 65% of the time. If they let teams host like the women’s tournament does, you wouldn’t see these upsets. If you want to find out who the best team is do that and once down to 16, do a double elimination tournament at a host site.

We without question probably don’t even make the final four without Remy. He took over a few games offensively and helped us win. Kinda like Kolek and Snead just did this past weekend. That championship game he hit some very tough shots from all over the floor, pull ups, 3s and high difficulty layups.

UConn was a great win but several things factored into it. They did have a starter hurt, it was early in the season and AFH was B-A-N-A-N-A-S from the tip. I know 30 year season ticket holders that said that was the loudest and most insane environment they have witnessed.

What about 2020? • Mar 26, 2024 04:25 PM

@approxinfinity id pick National titles all day especially right now with us having more conference titles than any other program. We have dominated the B12 for so long it really doesn’t matter. We may not be capable of dominating again with the conferences new additions.

What about 2020? • Mar 26, 2024 04:22 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 this topic is a what if of 2020

What about 2020? • Mar 26, 2024 02:51 PM

One other thing I’ll add that I’ve said before, obviously 2020 is a what if. If Ochai doesn’t get a steal and a dunk against Creighton in the round of 32 in 2022 we are talking about 5 straight round of 32 loses and 95% of the fan base calling for Selfs neck. The last 5 years have not been good outside of 2022, I’m fine with that if we win another title next season.

Lady hawks in Cali • Mar 26, 2024 10:17 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I only watched about 1 minute to chexk the score lol

What about 2020? • Mar 26, 2024 10:07 AM

@wissox I think we have zero chance of winning both IMO.

Lady hawks in Cali • Mar 26, 2024 02:28 AM

With a 9 pm tip time I ain’t gonna make much further here. Down 17-9 at the end of one defense very suspect so far.

What about 2020? • Mar 26, 2024 02:25 AM

@wissox I don’t disagree with Bill taking some heat 4 of the last 5 tournaments we have gone home in the second round. Thats not acceptable for Kansas basketball IMO. 2022 we definitely got a good draw no doubt but we still had to go compete and win. 2020 we had a great team that was gonna be the number 1 overall seed but nothing is guaranteed we have lost multiple times as not only a 1 seed but the 1 overall. Before 2022 all the talking heads had declared him the greatest regular season coach because of his lack of tournament success. I think that was a pretty fair assessment of him. If he wants to be among all time greats he has to preform when it matters most. Dean Smith had similar stuff said about him and why he isnt in the conversation as a goat with the likes of Wooden, Knight, Coach K and Roy. Smith had 2 titles one with arguably the greatest player to ever step foot on a basketball court.

2024 Portal Madness Thread • Mar 26, 2024 02:07 AM

I think we need guys that can play above the rim as well. Juan was rejected by the rim Saturday on what looked like a sad dunk attempt. Kevin wasn’t a dunker, try to find guys with a similar skill set to Ochai and Christian both started as mainly shooters but could drive and throw each other lobs before they were done.

@nuleafjhawk in winning the 2022 natty and the football team being competitive probably saved that fate for me but I long the 90s and early 00s in college athletics. Used to be fun to play mostly schools from your demographic and see how you matched up in the postseason. With the ACC likely imploding we could end up with teams in 4 different time zones. I miss the ole big 8 and original 12 teams in this conference. The Missouri rivalry was one of the best in college sports as well as one of the oldest.

2023-2024 Statistics • Mar 25, 2024 05:12 PM

@AsadZ coaching is part if the problem, Self says we have a team full of 4/5 star guys, need to not only play defense but improve to get on the court. Some of the smaller schools they have no one else so the coach just gives them the ball and says go do what you can. Another part of it is the competition isn’t close to what it is in the B12. Tristan was also at ISU and didn’t do much (good kid, still snap with him at times).

KSUCK women go down in he octagon of stupid to Colorado. Hahaha a team they said had national title aspirations just a month ago

Sundays Rd of 32 games • Mar 24, 2024 05:51 PM

Like I said Kolek is an absolute stud, he’s not gonna let Marquette lose. 21 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds that’s insane. Cousy award winner or it’s rigged at this point.

Sundays Rd of 32 games • Mar 24, 2024 05:44 PM

Bill self would be cutting down the nets with the talent Marquette has this season. If only Shaka was Smart like his name lol

Man Kolek is one of the best PGs I’ve ever seen at this level. I’ve only watched him play a handful of games but everytime I do I’m in awe.

Sundays Rd of 32 games • Mar 24, 2024 05:32 PM

@jayballer67 not sure to be honest Tadd was a Colorado kid that came east to play for Kansas. I think he is the perfect fit for them. Teams are hard nosed and play above their talent level.
