@dylans yep I think this maybe the last hurrah for the chiefs “dynasty” if you want to call it that. 8 straight division titles, 5 afc championship games, 3 Super Bowl appearances and 2 rings. Jones is gone, Sneed is likely gone, Gay, Nnadi and Allegretti are all in contract years as well several others. Just don’t see them keeping most of these guys with the cap space they have. I think they stand a chance because the defense has been one of the best since DT was roaming the field in KC. Offense will be fine if they keep down penalties and turnovers.

I like being under the radar personally. I hate it when talking heads make us favorites and seldom works out for us if it ever has when we are. You never know what will happen in March. We had teams that were built to win championships lose early and teams that were big question marks make the final four. I do know playing our best ball in the first week of January isn’t likely and that’s good.

@bskeet TCU will finish in the top 5 of this conference. They are long and will give teams a fit defensively.

@drgnslayr ya it looked intentional and like an easy call live and at the game. Watching replays today, I don’t see the cause for an uproar. It was avoidable contact to the head or neck. Literally written that way in the rule book.

@dylans ya I paid $40 for lot 90, next will do yards like in the past. Wife has a broken toe and in a boot so walking wasn’t in the cards this time.

@rockchalkjayhawk I don’t disagree with that assessment at all. I feel like Kevin disappeared for much of the second half yesterday. I trust Self and he’s at practice everyday assessing these guys. But I do think our season hinges on these younger/bench guys developing into serviceable players at this level. I think Wednesday is a huge game because it’s probably the weakest team left on our schedule. A good chance to rest starters as we prepare to play 2 games a week from here on out and some experience for Mari, Furphy and Elmarko.

It was a long day but a fun one, was worried the roads maybe hard but they were good til we got close to Lawrence. I believe we are now 13-1 in games I’ve attended so I can’t be called bad luck haha. Least favorite part was the traffic leaving.

Guess Fran lost his mind on X with the call. It’s odd to me why espn has him call our games. He is obviously super jealous of Self and can’t stand us. Can you imagine SEC football talking trash on Saban for 3/4s of the telecast.

@Crimsonorblue22 Nick looked good yesterday, had a couple of steals and was much better defensively. I’m kinda shocked that Jackson has a leash of 6 miles while the other youngsters have one that’s 6 inches. If he has a game like yesterday again, I’d start Timberlake or Furphy

@dylans it was good, turnovers were insane and TCU flopped often. Couple of the fouls they showed replays of probably fired up the fans more than the game. Kids loved it. I had to physically remove my daughter (5) from hugging baby Jay. She was upset he couldn’t come live with us lol. Always a good time in AFH. That last shot was close. The guy next to us thought it went in lol.
