@SlimShaddy54 I appreciate what you're saying, but I'm saying - what can these guys do for KU? I really don't give a hoot about their NBA careers. And almost none of them - any team except Syracuse and Carmelo Anthony can boast a One and Done that really, really helps the team/program.

@approxinfinity Lol - You know what really helps? Having basketball season over. Well, over for us. I've actually enjoyed watching the tournament this year. Plus the Women's teams - oh my - they play a much better brand of ball in my opinion. You know - weird stuff like passing, rebounding, free throw shooting - crazy stuff like that.

And, by the way....tell me I'm wrong about the OAD's.

Those nine players - highly regarded, smooth, fierce - whatever words you want to use to describe them did absolutely nothing to improve the program. Nor did any one of them lead us to a National Championship. You know who takes teams to NC's? Seasoned veterans. Juniors and Seniors. So, I'm not going to put all my eggs in Peterson's Easter basket because he won't do any more for KU than any other person listed here.

For the few months he'll be in Lawrence, I'm super stoked for him to lead us to an improved 22-12 record and a 4th place finish in the Big 12 next year. Sorry.

@dylans I'll tell you why I don't like them making money. Because I'm old and old school. In my world, college kids get free room and board, free tuition and a free education. That's enough. It's more than enough. Believe what you want to but money will destroy college sports. I'll guarantee you that I'm not the only one who feels this way.

@dylans I watch the NFL also (mostly the Chiefs) and it doesn't bother me. Why? Because they mostly have gone to college, got a job and are getting paid because they were deemed worthy to play in the NFL. College is different (in my mind) - they haven't paid their dues. They're just money hungry little punks, most of whom will never set foot in a professional sports arena.

@madmax The sky is definitely not falling for me. I officially am give-a-crap-less after this season. Let the little mini-pro's do their commercials and take stacks of cash to the bank every day. I don't care anymore. I will probably still watch sports - mostly teams that aren't KU, because I have/had no emotional investment in them. Whatever happens to this coach, this "team" - not my concern.

@SlimShaddy54 it's a fine line. Yes, he has 800+ wins. Yes, he's a Hall of Fame coach. Yes, he has two National Championships.

He also has had three very mediocre teams since 2022. He's had fairly boring teams who don't seem to hustle much and don't really seem to care when they lose. Hey, they're getting paid so why should they care?

I'm sour on Bill right now, but to be fair, I'm sour on college sports as a whole.

Self to Texas would be like trading a Lamborghini for a Yugo. Texas is a football school. Nobody in the State of Texas gives a crap about basketball.

@kjayhawks I would regularly turn off the TV sound and listen to those two on the radio. Two fantastic announcers and two fantastic gentlemen. Also loved listening to Bob call the Royals games.

The only thing I REALLY want out of this tournament is for Cooper Flagg to fall flat on his face. Literally and figuratively. I hope he face plants so hard at mid-court that his nose leaves an impression in the hardwood. Then I hope opponents start flying FlaggFace Flags. I hope it catches on so globally that every time anyone anywhere makes a blunder it will be known as a FlaggFace move. But I mean that in the nicest possible way.

I think I'll go with Houston. I lived there for almost 9 years. Attended several games. Watched Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler - Phi Slamma Jamma - Those were good times. Also, Sampson is someone that I could root for.

I'm a little bit different, I guess. I will watch a LOT of the Tournament now. Usually (well, in the good ol days) I'd be so dejected when we lost that I was just done. Now I'm relieved and looking forward to watching real basketball.
