I don't want the #1 seed. To be honest I'd take about a 4 or 5 seed and let them be the underdog. Tired of the losing to a lower seeded team scenario that has afflicted our team the past 5 seasons and 9 of 10 or whatever it is. This is one year we really don't deserve the #1 seed. We have too many ugly losses obviously with the home losses to good but not great teams.
@Texas-Hawk-10 The were ranked as high as 9th in the various polls and that was before their loss yesterday. Can't really see Auburn getting a 1. If TTech could win our conference and our tourney, as strange as it sounds, they'd get my vote for a 1 seed.

Here's the madness part. I thought I saw this on the game last night, something about Auburn being on the #1 seed line by Jerry Palm who apparently must be an SEC cool aid drinker. They lost to also ran SC.
Winners and losers on CBS today has Kentucky as a winner because they broke a 5 game losing streak. They called the SEC a winner because all their top teams lost to middle tier teams which by their convoluted logic makes the middle tier teams now dance worthy.
How many big 12 teams make it? Hard to say with OU's meltdown and all, but I'm seeing 7 teams dancing, but not saying which 7 besides us, and TT. I mean, WVU is 8-6 in the league. OU even worse I think. CBS article says Texas is now a last four in team. We shall see.
I have MSU, Villanova, Xavier as the best locks for #1 seeds, and they'll probably include whomever gets hot from a major conference in the next few weeks. Could be us even, but who knows.
We're probably a 2-3 seed is my bracketology guess.

Ticked at the refs for Teeing up Huggie. At the time, the score was 72-66 with 8 seconds left. WVA hits a 3 at the buzzer, well, then my score was exactly right. Instead it was only half right.
For the first time in my life I felt a little sorry for Huggie. When 1 shoots 35 times from the welfare line and the other gets 2 striped shirt handouts, something is wrong.
Bilas had some choice comments about the officials in the first half which was interesting because we were getting a lot of calls.
This team drove me crazy today besides Doke. Newmann, I'm about done with him. Terrible shots, terrible defense. Uncontested 3 after uncontested 3, you know until they finally contested them and decided to contest them.
So basically I was right.

What's hilarious is if you scroll through the list of nominees, you'll see ND stadium, which very much looks like Yankee Stadium!
@BeddieKU23 You're right. Kobe King, a talented freshman starter and Dimitric Trice a sophomore point guard both out for the season. They have no one that is a real point guard because of the injuries. They lost four times to decent teams in very close games early in the year. Lost to the aholes from Xavier who had the nerve to taunt the Wisconsin crowd at the end of the game, lost to UCLA on a last second shot, lost in the final seconds to Baylor, lost on road at tough Temple and really tough Virginia. Then the injuries hit and things really fell apart.
The jury is out on Gard. He keeps swinging and missing on recruits. His juniors this year other than Happ are complete flops. This years freshmen are good, but no one really to build a program around.
The 4th longest streak of making the dance, a 17 year streak of 4th or better in the big10, and back to the mid 90's streak of a winning record, plus longest streak to the sweet 16 are going to end this year. Been tough to watch. I feel worst for Ethan Happ, a wonderful talent.
But on the bright side, I've watched less basketball this year because I don't feel the urge to watch UW games as much.
A little off topic, but my favorite memory of the semifinals in 2012 was Tyshawn throwing a horribly errant pass after making a steal that went almost directly to Bill Self, probably to one of his assistants. Turnover Tyshawn struck one more time!
Playing defense without fouling is what great teams do. Our tough as nails defensive teams had that characteristics. As much as people whined about Bo Ryans teams getting away with mugging, he made guys practice defense holding tennis balls. This taught them not to grab which translates to better defensive fundamentals.
I'd rather go to the Final four. We already have the record, albeit shared, and the FF is the pinnacle of the sport. I do understand the impetus to get the record solo, but, for me, I love the prestige of FF's.
@JayHawkFanToo Well you caught me in a little inconsistency! Yes I'm still miffed at the Duke whistle appearing at the worst times! 1986 final four comes to mind as well.
However, we've had good success against Duke actually in the tournament and at the champions classic. Did we overcome the Duke whistle and win anyways, or did we just have a fairly called game? I suspect it's the latter which sort of (I'll grant you a sort of here!) dispels the notion that Duke gets all the calls.
@If our local leagal expert @mayjay could hold a trial in a court of law about the Duke whistle it'd be an interesting case that maybe turns out differently than we suspect.
For the record, no I don't watch Duke games unless it involves one of my teams. I really can't stand that team and am really too busy to watch some other team as well.

Just to take an alternative view, we are fans of a blueblood, so I'm pretty sure lots of players/coaches and fans think similar thoughts. There's been times I've felt we're getting some calls.
