Vick was the ultimate team player in the Duke game to take us to the Final Four. I'm sure that Self recalled how fantastic Vick has become in the middle of the zone.
His pass to Newman in the Overtime was a thing of unselfish beauty. Watch the guys that are coming back this year. De Sousa played the entire overtime and though he threw the ball into the stands, He was a monster on the boards when KU needed him the most. The new guards need to quickly get up to speed on the lob. I hear that Garret is shining in practice.

I agree with @BShark on Beard. We haven't seen a coach come into the league at a football school and make it's fan base forget about pigskins during the few winter months. Also, I might have to lay off the Liberace jokes.

If this turns out to be true, having Silvio back will assure us of having a team that will be as dominate on the boards as LaFrenz, Pollard and Collison were. Lets just hope our 5 :sun_with_face: star Freshman can get them the ball.

I just finished watching all of the KU games from the Title clinching thriller at TT up to the Duke victory that put us in the Final Four.
The four guard offense was spectacular during that stretch as we watched the steady improvement of the Bigs. Udoka , however so slowly, had become a force to be reckoned with against any team in the country except for Nova. Mitch has proven that he would not be too costly as a back-up and gained much confidence as a starter after Doke went down.
The most amazing development of the year was Silvio during the last 8 games of the year. He quit thinking, he played defense, he knew the offense and he dove for balls and made monster steals during the Two tournaments. He hits his free throws.
To me, the most incredible aspect to his game was the Joel Embid quick learning curve that appeared during this stretch of time. He reminded me of a young David Robinson. All of this excitement and hope for the coming season might soon be gone as we wait and wonder about the future. Will Silvio be back on the court at Allen Field House? We'll know in the next 10 days if Doke will be back.
I'll take the current popular #1 ranking if both are playing for us next year.
With McCormick and two new starting guards, my confidence goes way down.
With a numbing apprehension about this upcoming year, I take a literary license to quote Stephen Vincent Benet. "So we go on, under the claws, and Self goes on ahead."
Just take one of these back and we were in the Final Four.
We saw, the last time we played them, what they did to our hand-offs. Because of that, I don't think we'll see the weave that much. How about a payback foul against Nova for the horrible one called on Devonte last time we met.. There will be a lot of chips on our shoulder's. but for Svi and Devonte, it's time for payback.
