@kjayhawks @justanotherfan The unregistered vehicle would be interesting. I was told KSU did it "the right way"

That's fine we'll see how it plays out. I'm not really playing the negative sell here, its what I think is the reality of the situation.
I don't think KU is even the runner up in his recruitment.
KU didn't really recruit him, from what I've heard.
Woodrow said:
At this point in time I’m not sure why they wouldn’t recruit and take Chandler. I know most think he’s not very good, but he’s rated higher than the two kids we have.
Chandler is a major project. As for the rankings I think McBride is a guy whose skills moreso translates immediately to the D1 level. Not the best athlete but a very good shooter. He looks to me like he will be a very good, 4 year college guard. I'm still pretty w/e on Braun, need to see him play. I think with the position the staff is in, they could regret not really recruiting Chandler but we will have to see how it all shakes out.
Oh and some confirmation : http://www2.kusports.com/weblogs/ku-recruiting-scoop/2018/nov/8/kansas-to-see-cassius-stanley-on-friday/ ↗
Per Matt Scott, Kurtis Townsend will visit Cassius tomorrow.
He's picking Oregon though. Swoosh.
Lightfoot won't start. I'd bet money on that.
It won't be Kansas, but I am not sure he even had a commit able offer.
HEM's coaching record is impeccable.
Probably a Missouri grad.
I still think what I've always thought about it.
I was talking to FanToo. He referenced missing players, but Langford went to a school with the same shoe affiliation as KU. The other two went to Nike schools of course.
Indiana is an Adidas school.
Super obvious that it's UNC now. Rubber stamp visit.

Zeke is going to unofficially visit UNC on November 16&17 and will announce on Nov 23.
loooool
Oregon coaches visit is today I believe. Still no official time frame, but it should be during or before the early signing period.
@KUSTEVE It was one game, let's see how it goes over the course of a season. That said, his shot was never exactly broken, so I expect improvement with these coaches.
I'm still not sure where the offer comes from. I also think he'd be a bad fit in the NBA but that's another discussion.
I was definitely hoping he was a player KU made a push for. Just not in the cards unfortunately.
BeddieKU23 said:
Julian Strawther will take 5 official visits during his Jr year. KU is not one of them and KU wasn't listed as among the schools recruiting him. KU staff is all in on Ochai it seems or pursuing others
Damn.
Coaches from Oregon, UCLA and KU expected to stop and meet with Cassius and his dad, then there will be a decision.
@BeddieKU23 Fair enough. I had only just noticed the score, not the fact that they were without two players. KU would probably struggle without Q and Dedric.

West Virginia?
Allegedly.
Good teams in the B12: Kansas, Iowa State, KSU.
That's it.
@Gorilla72 I was about to post this, heh.
@jayballer73 ESPN2. It's a brutal game though. 16-10, 7 and a half minutes to go in the first half...
Oh and that is a real link for anyone wondering. :joy:

Read where the QB Coach might have an interest , he was the Arkansas offensive Cordinator 2015-17- -His name is Dan Enos. - -He ran pro style under Enos coached Brandon Allen ( 2016 threw for 3,000 yds Brandon led the Nation in QB efficiency threw for 3,440 yards and 30 TD's in 2016. - -that's great but we don't have that Caliber of QB.
Was 4 Seasons at Michigan State as assistant Coach
Left Central Michigan wit a 26-36 record- -last loss to - - KU 24-10 and this is the Coach we would want? lol 3 6 win seasons - -went to 2 bowl appearances 1-1 I dunno - -think I would pas. ROCK CHALK ALLDAY LONG BABY
Cincinatti 3 Ohio State 2. Five minutes into the game.
Not sure what NBA team is going to make Bill a big offer at this point but I could be wrong obviously.
Medcalf is frequently wrong and a total chucklehead, so there is that.

@jayballer73 Wofford is the type of team that would be a 13/14 seed in the NCAA tournament and could give someone trouble. Obviously KU shouldn't lose at home to them, but it also wouldn't be surprising if they kept it competitive for most of the night. It's one of those match ups people would be tempted to take Wofford to cover.
then they would be fools Hell I'll take their money if they want to throw it away. - -Mark it down right here right now KU wins this game anywhere from 10-15 points
Hope you don't think I'm trying to argue - - I just don't think they will hold up especially with us at home -- I understand what your saying but I have never felt any more comfortable about a game like this. - -We GOT THIS - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
We don't know what the spread is yet. ;)

@justanotherfan so a 6'5 210lb spot up shooter? Man what a waste!
His point was really fair though, if you don't have anyone else to really take that role, then that's what you need him to do a lot.
@Kcmatt7 I think the tight whistle hurt this team defensively. KU started the game rather well on defense I thought. MSU is extremely well coached too, and their players have good chemistry. I think Self can get this team to be an elite defense eventually.
The Nova game will be very interesting...
Strongly disagree. Calipari is a bad offensive coach and it showed last night. He also had no answers to get UK coherent on defense. His line-up choice to start the 2nd half was a joke.
@bskeet Agree. He was looking good early from the line, but pressure is a game changer and does funny things.

If Grimes and D Lawson turn out to be our top two scorers, who will be #3 for the season?
My money would be on Doke but this will be very interesting to watch unfold.

I have no problems with Vitale. i don't care if he talks about Dook and Tucky all game, because i don't value what he says anyway. What i do value is his neverending work in his fight against cancer. If he babbles all game, then that's a short price to pay if one kid gets cured, in my books.
He can do that work while not doing games. ;)
Agree though that he does good work there.
Anyway, I was thinking about his most absurd comments last night. I seem to recall him saying the Big 10 will be "much better than last year". Yeaaaah no. I think 5 bids max, maaaaybe 6.
Purdue, Michigan and Michigan State are tournament teams for sure.
I would put these teams as tournament hopefuls, likely to make it: Wisconsin, Indiana.
Bubble teams maybe: Penn St, Maryland, Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio State

While we are on the subject of east coast bias (which extends far beyond ESPN), my prediction is that Duke will be #1 in the next poll, despite the fact that we won as well.
Eh, I can't argue with this. I do think early polls are dumb because there isn't enough data, but based on what we have seen so far, I'm fine with Duke being #1.
@Woodrow I'm not sure. He can win a natty at WSU, he almost did it once before. He might be a lifer at WSU as he has already been there 11 years and turned down other jobs.
@Woodrow @JayHawkFanToo On the other hand, WSU is a stable job where he gets 3.2 million a year. He makes more than coaches who have really tough jobs at schools like Illinois, NC State etc... He makes more than JAY freaking Wright and Belein. It's a pretty sweet gig...

ACC play is a meat grinder, they will pick up some Ls there. Maybe only 2-3 but still. UNC, Virginia etc...
Not so sure , after seeing UNC play last night , I think UNC will be in real trouble against Duke
I wouldn't pick any team to beat Duke right now, but UNC will play them really tough at home.
Also, Wofford is a good team, they will make KU sweat too this year.

lmao -- so how did that work for ya? lol - -I can't stand Kentucky - - I can't stand Duke . but ummm didn't have much to root about last night for sure then did ya?. - -Kentucky fans really couldn't even blame the officials for this one - -I'm sure they will find something
They should have blamed their coach.
@jayballer73 It's going to be Les.
This quote from Wichita State SR Samaje Haynes Jones sums up JUCO ball...
""well we only had 1 or 2 set plays at Hutch and outside of that everybody just kind of did what they did""

The good news is that 99% of our games that are on ESPN will be done by Fran. I personally like Fran a lot. He is a great ambassador for the Big 12 and really knows his basketball.
Sometimes I snark about Fran, but he is way better than Vitale, Dakich etc...
J. Quinerly
G 17 1-4 1-4 0-0 0 0 0 3 0 0 2 0 3
OMG JAY WRIGHT DOESN'T PLAY FRESHMEN TAKE AWAY HIS STACKS. derpderpderp
To whom it may interest, portions of shockernet have turned on GREGGGGGG.
Yep. 14 rebounds, and how many other times did he impact a rebound, tipping it out to a teammate etc...
No one had any tape on them yet. Seriously, that matters. They have three incredible players but it's a large burden for 3 guys to shoulder game in, game out. They are good, will be a 1-2 seed, but I wouldn't call them unbeatable yet. I wouldn't call them 2012 UK or 09 UNC yet either.
