@JayHawkFanToo Well, I'm definitely glad that KU isn't doing it the same way as Cal. that's for sure. Love having multi-year players with flaws, you get to know them and watch them develop.

@JayHawkFanToo Eh, Self is pretty highly paid too and constructed the current roster*. It's entirely possible that the top end coaches in college hoops and football are pretty grossly overpaid...

@BeddieKU23 Maybe he wants Kansas? Don't see him listed on Rivals or 247 but he claims an offer on twitter. Makes sense that we would see him a lot because of Achiuwa. Someone to keep an eye on if other options don't work out I suppose.

This year shows the weakness in Cal's plan though. When there is a weaker recruiting class (overall talent perspective, not in terms of UK not having a huge class because they always do) he is going to suffer.
His 17 class was almost nothing but 5 stars...but it was a down class. 18 is too, tbh. Looks like UK is avoiding a big class this year and will actually not have too many FR next year.

Iowa State sucks hard is the translation. I just c/p their Kenpom profile. They are ranked ahead of Washington who we lost to though. 17-8 Washington. So sometimes Kenpom is goofy.

I mean it was a good win considering the team had been reeling. Graham and Svi not playing well again is an issue so hopefully they get it together.

We are pretty much guaranteed another tournament birth for the 29th straight year (NCAA record). Even if we don’t win the conference I think we’ll be okay friends. Did I mention that Self has signed the 3rd best recruiting class and could add to it with Langford plus our transfers. Let’s all get to the field house Saturday and support the heck outta these guys. We are pretty spoiled.
Markese 21 points in a tough loss to Simeon. Simeon has multiple D1 level guys including Talen Horton-Tucker who is gonna be a real problem at ISU.
Grimes played a game tonight and his team won their district. When I see stats from that game I will post.
