Josh is sick of these refs lol
No wonder UGA couldn't pull away from GW this STUD Maten was in foul trouble.
Maten is a stud

Josh Jackson = WOW
He is a transcendent talent. If he fixes his shot we are probably talking about a hofer barring injury.
BALL DONT LIE
These refs lol
Josh is soooooo good.
This will get better in time though, and it's good to play a team like this.

what are we trying to do on offense?
Nothing more or less like the rest of the season. UGA is just organized defensively unlike previous opponents.
Yep, gonna be a plodding game.

Seth Greeneberg is approaching Fran hate level for me. He usually doesn't have an opinion I agree with
There is a reason he is an analyst and no longer coaching.

I predict LL returns to last season's form.
UGA posts are a pretty decent match-up for him. They don't appear to be explosive athletes.
They don't really pressure on defense but also don't turn it over a ton. Should be a half court game. Going to have to see crisp passing and good execution for KU.
I'm guessing Svi will be heavily involved.
Imo their zone makes them better ooc but worse in conference because everyone knows how to attack it. Self teams in particular usually shred up that zone.
Prediction: Baylor will in fact, be Baylor.
Yeah it was a crap loss for so many reasons.
If Preston makes it to campus I think it's just Wooten and then all other commits will be guards/wings.
Maxwell is a practice player. Coleby may unfortunately be as well, it wasn't the plan when he was brought in though.
We have a player named Vick and are playing a "dog" team. I like our chances. Heyooooo.
You need to try poorly to be witty with the thread names, it's better that way. :p
Strugggggggggaling with Fort Wayne so far. They are 2-11 from 3...:astonished:
The problem is you are using common sense. That is null and void in recruiting.
So Cokley and Lee look like complete studs against GW. Whereas they looked, you know, pretty bad against us.
The Selby situation really hurt.

Wooten has decided to enroll in college at semesters end. KU has a Scholly. Hopefully we get this guy
Do any of the others in his final 5 have an open scholly? I honestly have no idea.

Should have posted here.
Wooten will enroll at semesters end. Bodes well for KU with an open spot
It would be fairly surprising if it isn't KU.

Wow I might have to eat crow about Shaka if they keep this up. Surprised. Is Colorado good?
No
Copy pasting a post from a Wazzu poster that popped onto the Phog. Lines up with what I was seeing with Bender's highlights in regards to his release.
"Thought I would stop by and give you some inside input to Bender's game from a WSU perspective. Peyton's throwing technique is top notch. He has a very quick release and throws perfectly in the slot. For his size, he has a very good arm and can make most throws. That very strength is what got him in trouble at WSU in his limited opportunities and in the scrimmages. He had a gun slinger mentality and threw into multiple coverage way too much.
Peyton only started one game for us and it was in our biggest game against Washington in the Apple Cup. His pocket awareness was very sub par in the game and will need to be something he will need to improve on to be successful. If the coaches can rain him in to not force the action, he has a chance to be pretty good. Hopefully he has the mental capacity to be able to pick up the playbook and make smart decisions. Just make sure to have him avoid the greek system, that was his excuse for being academically ineligible his last semester at WSU.
Good luck, hope he works out and takes you to a couple bowl games."
I'm biased because I am in cst. I know there are lots of Hawk grads out in Cali as well though.
CANCEL THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT.
Trae Young
Kansas #1 you say?

I haven't really seen Bragg green-light himself for shooting the pick and pops. He often gets the ball around the perimeter and immediately is in motion to pass it. When the ball does swing back to him and he's wide open he's taken the shot and made a good % of them from what I remember.
The game is still slowing down for Bragg, I saw 2 instances where he rushed when the ball was given to him last night. One, he caught a pass off guard penetration and lost the handle as he looked like he was going to dunk or lay it in ( I believe this was within the 1st six minutes of the game). The 2nd was a wide open 8 footer where he airmailed it (also first half). Both cases he didn't look comfortable making a basketball play. He will get there but we have to be patient. He needs confidence in his role
He also really needs another year in college but his inner circle doesn't see it that way.
Another really late tip-off makes me sad. After this though, a nice stretch of set tip times of 7pm or earlier. :older_man:
Go Okie Lite!
I think you are kind of crazy about oads.

Texas got hammered last night by 19 to Northwestern. Shaka trying to follow Charlie out the door?
Shaka is trash
Can't believe that same trash kept KU from winning it all with the Morrii.
When I think about terrible KU losses that still sting to this day the top three is....
Shaka. Egleseder dorkface. 12-30 FTs.

JJ is our best back to the basket post player, at 6'8" he is the size of a lot of college big men, with his speed a big man won't be guarding him, I think we will see more and more of JJ getting the ball in the post, if I remember he had 3 or 4 shots from his post up position and was fouled twice in the post. I think he could be a nice way to get some post points and I look for him to get it more and more down there.
I'm no expert but if I'm Self I try to set up more of these looks and make it a part of the offense.

@justanotherfan He's a big time player. He is the OAD that will set the bar for every future OAD from here on out. He is just amazing.

He has that MKG/Justise doggggg in him. Kid does not like to lose.
Kumbaya guys.
UAB was right around their average and rebounding was pretty even. Now, it will likely be a problem against teams like UK, but fortunately not many UKs out there.

We actually can win the championship without balanced production from the front court. We have the guards and wings that very few teams can match. We have a Wing that only can stop himself (Jackson). If he stays out of foul trouble he'll have more nights like he did last night.
Last Night Jackson had 22, Mason 20, Graham 16 & Svi 15. Those are the kind of stat lines that can win any game in the tournament.
Bragg had a bad game but we know we can get 10-12 points a game out of him.
As much as it worries me that we don't have great balance right now, something will change over the coming months and Self will find a way to make it work
Nailed it.
We've been spoiled with front courts lately. What we see now is a more typical college front court.
