Basically Diallo 2.0
If KU lands Hampton and Achiuwa, KU's class goes from #31 to #4 on 247. With Juzang going to Kentucky they would have the #1 class.

@BeddieKU23 Probably.
If Self pulls off Hampton, Tucker and Precious... It's going to RAIN DUNKS. THE GREAT DUNK DELUGE of 2019-20.
Hopefully that trio can do something. Only one of them has a jumpshot worth a beans
Good stuff!

Sounds like Dunks are important.
Azubuike averaged almost 4 a game in short season. Crazy
Breaking news tbh.
And yeah Doke is a monstarrrrr. We just need him healthy...
When did Grimes get 3 dunks?? Exhibition games LOL

I can see that train of thought but I'll throw a counter out there.
Grimes left. We haven't replaced him. We don't have anyone on the roster coming back or coming in (yet) that would replace Grimes's spot.
If Dotson and RJ are exclusive to each other then if Dotson stays in the draft and RJ signs we still need someone to fill Grimes position. Back to square one.
I think and this is just going off the situation, the staff expects Dotson to return, RJ signs and both parties and staff are happy with this 1-2 combo who both can play on/off the ball at times.
To make this all work, you get Tucker to play the Wing!
We have to feel good that at least the lid is off now for getting players. We know more are coming. The waiting game sucks.
Just to put it out there.
Christian Dawkins found guilty on 2 of 6 charges
Merl Code 1 of 4 charges.
Not a very successful verdict for the Govt.
Yessir biz as norm
Kentucky kid jumped to play for the holy grail of Kentucky. But now being recruited over twice yeah he should be finding somewhere else. He can play at a lot of schools as a freshman.
If your Dontaie Allen you open up and find somewhere else.
Tristan himself says he's 6'9. About a month ago on TV he looked 6'8 max.
Unique prospect. Is ambidextrous. Just recently in the past year or two focused on shooting right handed. Definitely plays above the rim. His skills if developed fit well in the modern NBA
Underwood. Illinois is one of his finalists too
Transfer List over 800. Not far off from last years record total. Seems like it will smash it easily

Heard from a KU source today they think they got Tucker
BOOM. Hope your source is right!!
rained about 2 weeks straight in my neck of the woods in the Northeast. Typical though after 6 months of snow
well that settled it LOL
And he didn't start most of the time

So....
How many years at KU is tristan projected???.
3 or (gulp)... 4 years?3 or 4 would be my guess. Probably won't have a big impact next year.
Might be that B-Greene role next year where you bring him off the bench when the offense is stalled out just to space the floor.
But yea I expect him to be a starter probably his junior and senior years.
I don't think it will be that long if he gels with Self's system.

Random thought. Does anyone but me want Silvio to come back and start at the 4 (even if it's not the best pure basketball play) just to take out all his frustration on rebounds and rims? Dude is staying in Lawrence because he wants no part of the G League and knows it may be his last few weeks here. If he gets reinstated... look out.
Between he and Doke, we might want to reinforce the rims at AFH. Those are some grown, angry dudes dunking on them.
A great random thought indeed.
He's an exciting prospect. Not anywhere close to a finished one but I think he can surprise some his freshman year. You can't teach that size with those skills. I hope we get 3 years but that may not be an option
Enaruna jumped 61 spots in the rivals rankings ending up at #44
WOOO

Did he pick Duke yet???
lol
I thought it was appropriate. I'll go back to my watering hole until he decides. Praying for the best

Looks like Georgia just dropped their 5th bag of cash off this cycle to 4 Star PG Wheeler. Former Texas A&M commit is deciding between them and Iowa St. Iowa St insider dropped a CB for Georgia so that sounds like a wrap.

@BShark is this the son of a former player of Self's?🤔 who am I thinking of?
Yes. Missing on him would be an epic whiff.
Agree but we always seem to lose out for being in early. Hopefully the relationship is what wins out
I have Memphis with 3 open slots unless his son isn't on scholarship
Agree about Miles. Have to figure that helps with PG recruiting as well
At this point probably will. UNC is sniffing
Oh man @jayballer73 wooosssaaaa

Doesn’t Memphis have a PG in the fold already?
They have a few. But if money is what they want money is what they get
The questions about Devon's weaknesses or area's he can improve will not go away. What's going to matter is how well he performs and how his strengths are viewed to scouts.
I'm honestly hoping he returns but these situations are not cut and dry. He made the right call declaring as it led to a combine invite at a setting that should be somewhat advantageous to him. He'll have the ball in his hands if he plays in the combine games. Can show off his speed, defense and finishing ability. Players get drafted for less
BShark said:
@BeddieKU23 I'd take him but there is no chance. Can't even see getting a visit.
Wouldn't that be interesting if we do.
He's not "back" either.

Tucker, Holyfield, Enaruna, Hampton, McBride and Braun, where would that class rank?
Since the transfers wouldn't count on the recruiting sites probably somewhere in the bottom Top 10, low teens
I ran the Class Calculator on 247. The additions of Hampton/Enaruna would jump KU's class from 57th to 13th.
Personally this would be a good haul. 3, One year players that can all play right away. 3 development players that become the foundation for future classes
The way things have been going - - I would take that ranked class - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
It would definitely fill every need
Self is certainly recruiting as if there's a chance Dotson could stay in the draft. He made the Combine. Whether anyone wants to believe it or not, coming back to Kansas is the fall back option here
Well he can shoot better then what we currently have. I'll take any and all shooters we can get

I was surprised Boogie didn't go to Memphis to begin with. Felt like he favored them over Duke and the fit didn't seem right

@BeddieKU23 They took Harris from Va. Tech who is a sit out transfer.
Harris is a Va Tech decommit after Buzz left. He'll be a freshman
He's the one that tore his ACL correct? Their other guard signee has had similar issues
Woodrow said:
North Carolina just took another grad transfer. Justin Pierce from William and Mary. This is the third transfer they have taken.
who was the other?
Pierce and Keeling right?

When are we going to get off the crackpipe of OAD mania?
The rule will be gone soon enough. But to answer your question maybe about the time KU has a new coach.
Dawkins took the stand.

Pete Thamel on Sean Miller

At least Arizona sent some people. The NCAA is on some Yacht somehwere
Not sure this is any different then any other year with Coach hitting the road. I'd assume this is an open period for contact with recruits. Maybe he's changed his approach some? Getting to see some priority targets before the AAU season leaves most of these kids too busy is never a bad thing.

This is still all hearsay right?
I guess technically but how many people need to say the same thing before its no longer such.
Book has said he made 250k and was paying players with his retirement.
Dawkins has said he had unlimited reach to the program including practices.
Book on tape with Dawkins discussing paying Rawle Alkins, Quinnerly, Deandre Ayton among others.
I think I recall someone who I think is a lawyer posting that the information obtained via the wiretaps is considered by the court as hearsay. If that is the case, the number of times the information is repeated has no effect on the court's position.
You could be right, in court its hearsay. What's Arizona going to do? Find a hole and stay there? They can't avoid this.
Bosthawk said:
Is he a projected 2 year guy? Or 3 year?
Please don’t tell me he’s a OAD.And what do you call guys like grimes? DOAD? (Delusional one and done)
OAD all the way. Being projected as a lottery pick
