What a joke call
Good d
He got so high but had no touch.
Garrett is a really good defender
I think our nerves are on edge how the last two games against this team have gone. One the refs screwed devonte and the next they made nba jams look like a comedy
We are so sped up on offense must be the nerves. But I see a alot of confusion with guys out there
Great play by dedric just wish he had that xtra unph to get that in
Sad that was a foul
Great to see dedric make one
If we play better the refs wont be a factor
Nice play
6 fouls in 5 minutes. Just giving them the game
We are the dumbest defensive team ever
Sad
Never gets old
We do a good job making it easy for them
Typical immature play
Cant make a layup
So much for the good start after that joke of a foul
Refs take a frickin lap
Hopefully Garrett is guarding him because they will also play roundtree which is a better match up defensively for dedric. The simple fact that Marcus will get out on him and Dedric wont makes this a no brainer. That is unless nova plays 4 guards.
Booth I figure will see some Dotson and Grimes. Gillispie and Cremo let it fly so between the 3 it's really about staying grounded and not giving them 10 15 open looks. If they shoot 30 and at least 20 are guarded what can we do if they make em. I hope we play well early. Cannot be in a hole against this team early.
I'll let it slide as long as ku wins Tomm
Yeah he's been trying to expand his range for the NBA. Hope he takes about 10 a Game against us and clanks them all.
As they should be, the last two meetings have gone their way.
I think we find a way to win though.
I always thought Green should have went to Syracuse. He chased Calipari's dream. Unfortunate but a 2nd chance might be what he needs. Green always projected to be a 4 year player imo
He will have to sit until spring semester next yr unless he granted a waiver which seems extremely unlikely
It's official he's out
Selfishly I want Devon around 4 years. So far he's exceeded even the high expectations I had for him. I'm downright scared he leaves after the year if he starts creeping up into the late first round discussion.
And yes the discussion was about Quin. If he does transfer out at semester's end it would be very interesting to see what schools even have room for him like KU does currently. He'll be in Lawrence as well this weekend which is really a potential benefit if he did leave
I think we are in a great position as well but getting a Cali kid to leave that comfort zone still has me worried. Oregon still feels like the favorite despite their roster that's full of SG's and wing types. Stanley could be a real momentum changer for KU going into the spring recruiting period
Rarely does one player beat KU but often when KU loses someone is the catalyst and the matchups look favorable for Paschall to be that guy as their stretch big. He's already had one monster game against KU (Final 4) so I'm worried he parks out on the 3 point line and gives us fits again. Hopefully Bill has a good gameplan for him. I would put Garrett on him personally and leave Dedric to guard Roundtree and whoever else they bring in at that other forward position
Fools Gold yo

KU has an open scholly... Would take.
With Dotson creeping up draft boards another PG could be needed
I hear Spokane has nice white sandy beaches and lots of sunshine. Has to be the deciding factor right?? LOL
Your right, wrong interview I was thinking of. Interesting to see what they are waiting on
That's great Crimson. I hope you have a blast and we all having something to cheer about after
I'm looking at it in terms of Saturday. Villanova knows KU only has 1 good post player which Nova lacks. I can imagine the gameplan will be to double Dedric when he gets the ball and go at him on offense to draw fouls. Wright has out-coached Self in both recent meetings so you know he's going to zero on something for Saturday. The first game without Doke didn't really expose the fact that if Dedric can't play 30-35 minutes a game this KU team is in a world of trouble.

@BeddieKU23 we had post depth when Dok wasn’t injured and Silvio was available. Sometimes you have to adjust to the situation.
You mean adjust every year. Its the same song and dance with the post situation.
Just looks like a situation where a kid isn't getting his way or what he expected when he signed. Nova lost a lot of guys from last year so I'm sure Quinerly had high expectations of a big role from the start. Wright likes guys that want to work hard and trust in the process to be developed. I think Wright has put some tough love on him and he doesn't seem to be responding the way Wright wants either.
Great point about Paschall, KU recruited him when he was transferring. He played like Jordan against us in the Final 4 last year and we still don't have someone to match up with him and very few teams do. Just have to stop him from making 3's and Nova can be contained
Saw the highlights of the SD St game. Savannah State looks like a nice team to practice against. I mean any team that gives up 90 in a half is probably not worthy of being a D-1 school. South Dakota St was enfuego though, 35-46 shooting in that half
Yeah I rewatched the game and we really didn't make it difficult on entry into the post or make it difficult for the post player to set up shop. Almost if that was the plan was to let them live with 2's. We are a work in progress in almost every phase of the game still.
Can't believe I missed that one. One of the best games I've ever seen
In his latest interview I believe he was asked if any other schools had the chance to enter his recruitment and he didn't shut the door on that happening. Doesn't seem like he or his dad have got the deal they are looking for. But two of the programs they are considering are also potentially in the NCAA crosshairs after the season as well. I thought he'd at least verbal to whatever school he was going to at this point. Certainly doesn't seem like KU is going to be his landing place but that's just the current vibe and could certainly change..
I thought we got away from doubling the post after the Wofford game but that was probably only because film said they didn't have anyone worth doubling. Aurrecochea made some really good passes, one I remember no look behind his head so I was impressed with his play but also mortified that NM ST post players were having their way with us. I also thought our guards made it way too easy to dump the ball in as well.
That tape is going to be used against KU going forward, especially better teams. Dedric was lucky to have zero fouls in the NM St game. We thought we had post depth this year and we're already back to running 4 guards. Ugh
Really good point. Self has to start letting Q work through some stuff and the NM St I thought was a prime example of that
Boy that Aurrecochea was a real pain. Couldn't even come close to pronouncing his name and then he reminded me of that kid from Nova a few years back. But it was troubling that we had difficulty guarding a JUCO big with our post players. I thought those times were gone with this years roster. Apparently not so much
It's crazy that you mentioned the 3 games that immediately popped into my head.
Just my best guess/assumption really. The NCAA's announced they would not look into programs from the first trial (KU included) until after the season. I'm guessing that also means Silvio's case is on the backburner as well. If that's true I'd assume KU has appealed for a decision in his case because he's been held out. I have no idea if I'm right but it's my working theory at the moment.
I did see that as well. Givony is definitely plugged in so between the film and feedback from scouts/gm's etc I'm sure that's where Grimes is being talked about at right now. Not saying the CBS guy doesn't know his stuff, is his stuff usually good?
