Additions: Clemence, Adams, Curry, transfer 1, transfer 2.
Add Jones and Walker. Start Walker, Jones, Ochai, Wilson, Dave. Braun the super sub. Harris first guard off the bench. Slide Mitch or Curry in at the 5 for 10 MPG. Clemence or TGF can back up Wilson. 9ish guys you really feel good about.
I like Myreon Jones from PSU a lot. Definitely a volume shooter but shoots it really well from 3. PER would’ve been second for us among rotation players. I think there’s still some defensive potential to unlock too.
Said this in another thread but will reiterate here. Washington isn’t coming and his offer isn’t worth much.

There are a lot of physical tools to work with when it comes to Tyon, hope he stays as well. Tristan leaving almost seems like a foregone conclusion.

@FarmerJayhawk KU is definitely in play for TyTy but yeah likely a tough sell. You could and would easily start both if say, Ochai goes pro. Would much prefer Ochai back ofc.

For sure. Clearing the scholarships would be tricky. We're already 1 over, so we'd have to shed 3 to take both. Jossell, Tyon/Enaruna, ?? I don't think I'd jettison both Tyon and Enaruna because it leaves us a bit short at the 3/4 spots. I still really think Tyon could be a beast. I think Och stays. He might test but if he takes another leap next year look tf out

Yeah I think Travis Goff (NW), Missy Conboy (ND), Kent McCarthy, Terry Mohaijr (UCF), Allen Greene (Auburn), Jason Booker (Royals), and Banks Floodman are on the list. It’ll get more clear once they hire the search firm officially and everyone is more directly on record with their interest.

Oooo good idea. I'll cover AD's too to reduce clutter. Anyhow, this is what I've got for that spot.
-Terry Mohajir is target numero uno. Money and timing are an issue, he just moved from Ark St. to UCF about a month ago. But very close ties to KU, from OP, and is interested.
-Missy Conboy from Notre Dame is another intriguing option. She went to HS some in Leavenworth, has a JD from KU, and has a significant record of success as an administrator at ND. She also was an enforcement officer at the NCAA right after law school. Her youngest is graduating from ND this year so timing might be right. Also would be good on optics to hire a woman AD after Long and Les's issues with women.
-Travis Goff, Deputy AD at Northwestern also has KU ties. An alum and grew up in Dodge. He leads their fundraising operation and has admin responsibility for football, volleyball, and baseball. He also is interested in the job.
-Banks Floodman, real estate developer. I don't think he's really that much in contention as of now. Yes, he spent a decade at the WEF, but doesn't have the high level experience in athletics we need. He's a flashy name for the press though!
-Danny Manning, no intro required. I also don't think he's in serious contention. Never has managed a large organization, but might be decent at fundraising. Worst part of hiring Danny is we might have to fire Danny. Sad day.

I’ll update as I go here. But the two top names I’ve heard are Lance Leipold and Kevin Kane. Also this morning Graham Harrell (USC OC) is getting some buzz. Also in the mix (though less likely): Willie Fritz, Emmett Jones, Sean Lewis, Mike Elko, Jason Candle, Mike Norvell.
Much will shake out when the committee finds an AD.

I’m hard on the Missy Conboy train. FWIW, every top tier candidate either is from KS or has a KU degree. Terry Mohaijr, Travis Goff, and Banks are the top 3 as of yesterday. I’m fairly anti-Banks relative to most but I’d be willing to see how it turns out. If he pulls Kane and Kane pulls Scheelhaase he will have my attention.

Let him have the interim title for a year if you want. But I wouldn't rush to make him the guy.
Was thinking if they wait until November. If Jones wins 4-5 games and puts another good class together I think he deserves a look.
