Happens much more often in football than basketball but there’s a lot of pressure not to visit certain places because the staff has a history of changing hearts and minds. Kansas is absolutely the top of that list.

Yeah, I think you’re overthinking it. Bean didn’t know he was going (and therefore didn’t have any practice reps with the 1’s) until right before kick. There’s no harder spot for a QB to be put in than that.

I agree on the 4th and 1 call and the 3rd down run. Kotelnicki got too cute there running a read option (they clearly don’t have many reps with that mesh) and Bean just bailed on a convertible play.

But Easters is like… really bad. Ballard and even Pauley on some days are better.

Larry Bird and Michael Jordan for example. Neither made any changes when things got really hard. Which is why Bird is Bobby Knight’s greatest success and MJ only retired when his basketball career was done.

@Crimsonorblue22 I was! The compromise in my grandparents marriage way back when was they'd raise Bears football and Cardinals baseball fans (they were married before the Chiefs or Royals were a thing) and it's carried on since. The Super Bowl was before I was born but thankful for YouTube

@AsadZ I agree. They need to do something different. He clearly showed flashes last year with zero talent around him. Now we've added some really good pieces on the OL and skill positions and it's still bad.
