I'm for keeping Bowen next year with a conservative salary and generous bonus program based on performance.
Yes-the goal post stunt could be considered a weak move-but maybe some nice recognition of the team and coaching staff considering they've been playing much better most games. Too bad we let OSU run back that kickoff after we tied them late in the game.
I'm not surprised.
@Crimsonorblue22
Rob Riggle (of Hangover fame-the Vegas taser demo cop) is a KU grad and hosted Late Night at the PHOG in 2013-may have done it this year as well.
Don't I recognize this place from "The Book of Eli"?
Last year Barbara Eden was there-she is married to a KU Alum. They showed her on the video board more than once-later they played the theme to "I dream of Jeanie" and she folded her arms and did the genie head bob. The whole place loved it.
I've seen photos of Olivia Wilde there with Jason Sudekis (Overland Park native).
I would love to have one of these Dino's to prank with.
ABSOLUTELY!!!!
@drgnslayr
Correct. But he totally deflected it and put a different spin on it. Most folks on this board can see it plainly and care about the institution and the program and the kids and families. He ignores the institutional and program damage.
This seems scripted for recruits and parents heading to NCAAB.
Interesting-sure sounds like a great pitch to recruits and their families.
What kids and families will hear from this is "College Titles vacated doesn't stack up to degrees and/or NBA." Sounds like a very convincing counter.
@Kip_McSmithers
Kip, never a worry man-most likely your post/link will run more comments anyway. RCJH
@Kip_McSmithers
Yeah, we were hanging on by the hair of our chinny chin chin during realignment.
I was afraid a few of us wouldn't have a chair when the music stopped. Fortunately we've got about 12 years to not only build but establish some cred before the TV contracts are up.
@JayHawkFanToo
I had no idea all that went on about ku vs oklahoma in the Orange bowl. Sure us a good thing we proved we belonged.
As for Lewis-he did accomplish a few great things along with the bad.
@nuleafjhawk I like it. Reminds me of another SD hit,,,"My old school"
Frank the bank, as in you can bank on him scoring.
Svi the bee, float like a butterfly sting like a bee with 3 pointers
Jamari Calimari, as in his arm/hands are like tentacles that grab each and every rebound available
Cliff the gift
Graham Slam
Oubre Cobre as in strikes as fast as a cobra.
Lucas nuke us. blow the roof of the place with blocked shots and dunks.
Greene scene -as in the other team looks like the scene of an accident when he's done.
Wayne the flame-that hot of a shooter
Just as long as we don't have to call him Frank Mason III.
RGIII @ Acey Law IV have already been done. Is Frank Telling us he needs to change his name this year? Don't care for it.
ouch...
@nuleafjhawk yikes, rough crowd (I've flown and driven in Ohio)
Thanks for the link-40% of high school players going directly to Div 1 bball transfer by the end of sophomore year. Staggering.
I for one, was not talking about kids who graduate.
@nuleafjhawk
Moving to Texas was a very good move for us.
@KULA
Maybe its because I follow KU closer the last few years than ever before, but it does seem like we have more players come and go than we did in the past-say five years ago and before that.
@nuleafjhawk
Tell her Texas wouldn't have been a bad option either.
Jordan was unique, and it's a long shot but I wonder,,, Wiggins is still a kid-19 years old right now. Wigs testosterone levels could be jacking up right now and I have to believe he will be adding weight-all muscle at that. 18 to 19 mean big physical changes to some-even more from 19 to 21. If everything falls into place we may see some Jordanesque comparisons in years to come.
ooops. thanks for setting me straight kong
Yes, but if memory serves Conner was the top scorer in the McDonald's All-American game.
Unfortunately that makes the most sense-it is his home.
Bummer
Speaking of soccer getting popular, I heard the TV viewership in 1985 was 25 million. World Series viewers are way down.
And now it's around 12 million. 99 channels and nothing on.
@globaljaybird
Yes, I was just a kid, but I remember going to that old stadium on a Cub Scout trip and I remember the rabbit coming out of the ground with the balls. I didn't know he had a name.
Hats off Jesse.
@drgnslayr
Thanks for posting that. Great film and story of KU bBall. That gal did a fine job,
No clue but if my dad was still around we would have been there for one of these series games.
I seldom watch baseball anymore, but when I do -I notice digital cameras give you definition like nothing before. To be able to see a pitch heading for the plate, with the slider rotating the seams so fast 90 degrees left to right,,,unbelievable.
When is the last time a World Series base runner ignored to stop sign and ran OUTSIDE the coach to score. Luckily he wasn't out.
Whew is right!!!
@jaybate-1.0
Well thought out (what's new). I like it.
I have a picture taken from the stands during a 70's track meet complete with dirt track and raised bBall court. If I find it I will post it. Somewhere in dad's stuff there is some footage on 8mm film of same, My guess is they showed some footage of the construction like they did at late night last year.
When I say the title I was thinking it was all-time and my mind went
Wilt, Manning, Lovelette,,,,,
@drgnslayr
I'm there.
Yet another great move by the Genius Coach Snyder.
Aw shucks.
More coin that I will ever make in a year but good for him. And I think you are right. Tarik has made some great decisions in his young life and the odds seem to be better with him continuing to make good decisions.
$507,000 first year, $845,000 second year of contract. What a sweet deal for him. (By the way his school was listed Memphis AND Kansas.)
IMHO, his NBA contract doesn't happen without a year at Kansas.
RCJH Tarik!
Tarik Black makes Houston Rockets Roster!!!

I was drafting a long reply about -okay we lose this game but keep the score where it is here in the 8th so Bumgarner is tired and maybe we don't face him again. It wasn't to be, before I hit submit they score two and then 3. Ugh.
In 2007 I thought I had our new German Shepherd pup under control. She did not play with her chew toys much though.
One day I noticed. A dining room chair damaged on the bottom rung. Then saw half of the six chewed on and low window sills next to the table and a few low cabinet corners as well. I yelled at her and pushed her face against one of them yelling no, then took her outside in low key mode and talked to he softly, gave her a tree branch and praised her for taking in her mouth. She chewed it and I praised her. That was one time I corrected a behavior I didn't catch a dog red handed at.
@jaybate-1.0
Yes, some of these investigations just go away on their own as in, "Nothing to,see here folks, move along, move along."
@JayhawkRock78
How did that end up here???
C'mon ROYALS,!,!!
