@drgnslayr
Go OU
Go WVU
@nuleafjhawk
I know it's no earth shaking deal, but I'll be around as well.
@RockChalkinTexas
I'll drive over to Austin to raid your garden when they get ripe.
(That was a joke.)
@VailHawk
AND PLEASE TO ALL AT KU BUCKETS.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO APPROXFINITY ANd BSKEET FOR CREATING THIS SITE AND KEEPING IT GOING,!!!
@Crimsonorblue22
Thanks 22. You are emerging as the GLUE to KU buckets.
I don't say that lightly. I've seen a key person here or there in my advanced years keep a good thing going. Many thanks and...
Thank you!

Thanks r-man and cock-a-doodle-do.
Here is what I think about the NCAA pulling seeding strings to get this match-up.
Every player-coach-and fan of WSU will remember this game the rest of their lives. Even if WSU makes the final four this year.
Even if they win it all. Bigger than another final four. Maybe bigger than a title.
If KU wins-it is just that. Crickets. No T-shirts, just survive and advance.
They screwed SMU with a GT call to get UCLA viewership. Now they have a 7 Cinderella. Sure hope it backfires and ratings drop to stop manipulation like this to rate seeds fair rather than cheat the numbers -even make bad calls to favor viewership.
@truehawk93
I can't believe an NBA team thinks Selden is ready.
@Crimsonorblue22
As I say I watch till they stink it up which is too often and then use the DVR. At 60 I don't need to watch them play like sh*t. I check the score and if they get back in the game I start up where I left. It has been the smart thing for me this year. I haven't checked the stats but I would bet there has NEVER been a KU team build so many 8 to double digit leads to let a team bring it back to the wire or beat them-sometimes flat out like today.
Maybe Stat Machine or Donkey can assist.
@Crimsonorblue22
Actually as pissed as I was I might have typed Seldom.
I need to go cool off.
Checked the box score. Greene & Selden over 20 minute each with ZERO points. Lucas ONE of TWO shots against a smaller team? Zero time for Hunter?
WSU hit plenty of threes and we go to the rim without height?
This loss is on Self for lack of adjustments.
Agreed. I posted elsewhere I left the game after 5 minutes into the second half. Where was HM the first half? Did we use him at all. Why doesn't Mason learn from diving to the rim and turning it over?
I love KU too, but I have to leave some games to the DVR because I get stressed. This has been my hardest year to watch KU, maybe because I've had TV access to nearly every game they played. Tonight I turned it off 5 minutes into the second half.
As someone mentioned, we have this summer to watch more games.
And I really look forward to next year.
As for the rest of the tourney-I am very happy I don't live in Kansas anymore so I don't have to listen to the WSU noise.
@tundrahok
I can't remember the formula, but this looks like an out of control statistical process chart that Demming used.
@Shanghai_RCJH
Sorry but I would rather WVU win than Maryland.
@dylans thanks for correcting me. I went back and edited that. Must be a little foggy from celebrating last night.
Marshall and his crew may not have a LOT of March experience but it is fresh in the minds of some players who danced to the final four two year.s ago. That can go a LONG way. JMHO.
If we play like we did yesterday it will be fun to watch. Just give me two good halves again. RCJH.
@icthawkfan316
I knew I might step on some toes with that comment. My opinion was based on visits from 1973 to 1987. I'm sure some things have improved and of course I said nothing bad about the people there. KU's campus is great. WSU's at the time left me flat.
@Blown
I tired to keep an open mind about refs and scheduling over the years, but I think you are right about this one and I posted nearly the same about UCLA viewership swinging the SMU game with a rediculous goal tending call.
Good thoughts double DD
I love your thought process. I enjoyed watching KU put two halves together today-something they rarely do. So I am hoping they can continue to play two halves every game-then great things are possible.
(And you are right-our best teams haven't got it done) . Pierce/LaFrenz or Morris Twins.
Maybe this is it.
WSU did some very nice things to recruit me. I could spell them out here but WSU vs KU were two different worlds. In bBall, football, track.
And even on biz trips after college I tried to find things to like about hotels/dining/bars in Wichita for a decade without luck.
They have a good program, and they might beat us. But I could never live there unless I left town more that 50% of the time.
Marshall is doing well to recruit there.
Took a long lunch to watch the game with a buddy. It sure was nice to relax for two halves. Nice win guys-love it that the bench was cleared in the end for a little time on the court. RCJH.
@DCHawker
Not only KU but B12 have been falling short for years-and I am. Tired of our poor performance!,,
All these losses are my fault. I stayed home to watch games and do a few errands. Tomorrow I'm going to work.
@Lulufulu
H*ll yes.

Posted this elsewhere. Everyone on TV knows and states it's a terrible call-and the head of refs says, " no way to know it wouldn't go in? EVERY AGLE SHOWS IT HAS NO CHANCE. Fire John Adams.
Po
John Adams -head of officiating covers there but on the GT call.
Everyone in the booth says bad call and this tool tries to make a rediculous case. Pitiful
@GonzoMan15
His dad made a good decision moving here. The problem is a lot of real bad elements followed him here and stayed. Crime rates here showed a big spike and then stayed elevated.
Worst goal tending call I've ever seen-especially when changing the outcome of a game. Can you say west coast viewership? I swear the refs must be told any call at the wire goes in favor of viewership.
Sure- SMU had a chance to win-should have gone for 2- but there is NO reason to make that BS goal tend call with the ball coming down outside of the rim.
I never cared for McKay's long dreads. I see he got them colored all nice for the dance. And Jarod Haase smashed his pumpkin.
Mixed bag here-I want all the B12 schools to,do well but I admit I'm happy to see someone knock the wind out of ISU and send them home early-someone already posted we've sure had our share of that.
@truehawk93
Is it just me or is that fireplace really a TV video?
I cant believe they would actually put a flame in a plane.
From what I know about this industry it would never happen.
@jaybate-1.0
PHOF but what's new.
And as for the Marauders I've stated before my grandfather's medals from his service in that phenomenal unit grace my Den and are the best Heirloom I will be privileged to pass on to his ancestors.
You wrote a great post-perhaps the best one I've read regarding this team. Perhaps it will be archived with them when the season ends- when and wherever it ends, RCJH.
Great read. My daughters AAU team mate knew about Kelly's talent in Houston and was a fan before he went to play in Henderson/Vegas.
Kind of embarrassing as SHE, a high school kid was watching him/knew about him and told me who he was before he signed with KU.
Wahoo!
@HighEliteMajor
If you look close, Mason has 4 fingers as does Garrett? behind him. I think they all have four fingers with the thumb in for final four, and Tyler's entire hand is out of view.
Look again. I think they are showing four fingers with the thumb in. Could that be final four?
Good luck Coach Brown.
@justanotherfan
Got it. Big brother, legality, etc. The reason Reggie Bush had to return the trophy and wins got vacated at USC is the family didn't hire the guy (trying to be his agent) after he had already showered them in cash and benefits. So he sued them to get his money back-now things are public record and the NCAA acted. His family moved to that nice home in San Diego and Reggie was driving a new car during his Sr. Year. These benefits were stated in SoCal papers DURING the season. The sh*t hit the fan after he finished school.
I think USC AND the NCAA chose to let him slide, let USC get its season, bowl game, Heisman winner etc. and the cash rolled in knowing they would have damage control issues later. Just ride the horse and rake in the cash while you can-and while a good biz decision if all you care about is money-pitiful ethics.
I've been a little harsh about the sloppy play and not blocking out for rebounds, but I don't think I've called out Self or anyone other that getting on Perry for not dunking here or there. I admit I am disappointed when we don't put our foot on someone's neck when we have a double digit lead and let them come back. We can't play two good halves in a row.
I do try to stay positive and give a shout out to players who have good games for us, which has pretty much been everyone from Frank Mason to Hunter Mickelson.
I am extremely happy with 11 straight. The second loss to ISU this year bummed me out.
I DO think we go shafted in our bracket. I am hoping for two more victories. Concerned about our first game-WORRIED about our second. But maybe we really play a string of great halves back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back...
@JayHawkFanToo
I have a good one for you. I live on a golf course in a community with fees for upkeep and rules like no garage sales-we approve house paint, etc,
The golf course put a fence on the (easement) that runs along common areas on every hole at the tees And greens. They built it and it is on the easement where buried power cables lay.. The fence is most likely on their side of the easement
Right now they are painting and repairing said fences at the tees and greens, and they are sending notes to the home owners we are to paint the fences along our property as well. This is BS.
Wow- I never knew the slump buster remedy. I would be a great candidate to help these top women athletes-but alas, I married.
My best guess is we have a lot of travel for coaches visits to prospects towns a LONG ways from Lawrence. Most likely at least some of those flights involve the KU Jet or Charter.
He is painted on the wall of Lahaina Civic Center (Maui) for that Hawaii Tourney.
Love that his is towering above everyone.
Very T-ROB esque
I've played that Highlight in my head a dozen times since seeing that play.
Iowa State has ONE final four appearance. 1944. I hope it stays that way.
I am for all the Big 12 teams advancing to a point. Just a bit chippy since ISU beat us last week and knocked us out of the South Region per Lunardi.
Here is my winning streak as in road games I saw AFTER I graduated.
1986 Big 8 Tourney Win Champs over ISU
1986 Final Four in Dallas Loss to Duke
1988 National Champs in KC
2003 Elite 8 win over Duke at the Pond in Anaheim
2008 Final Four in San Antonio win over UNC
2008 National Champs over Memphis
2011 Sweet 16 win over Richmond in San Antonio
2013 Win over Texas in Austin
2013 Sweet 16 loss to Michigan in Dallas
2015 Win over Texas in Austin
So KU is 8-2 when I show up. Am I good luck or is KU just that darn good?
Shanghai
I gave you my up vote to help things happen just that way.
