“So we’ve got some things that we’re working on to do,” Self said. “But I think in the next 10 days a lot of this is gonna clear up.”
Sounds like Self is planning on signing someone here coming up.
Self seemed extremely optimistic last night at the banquet whenever recruiting / roster make up was brought up. I know he is not going to go full doom and gloom, but to me it was like maybe he knew he had somethings in the pipeline coming his way.

Self says he’s not going anywhere again.
Akron grad transfer Daniel Otumi is headed to USC
Also set a visit up to Memphis
Looks like he already visited West Virginia and is visiting Auburn this weekend

KU never really pushed on Beverly.
Then that is a mistake on the staff. They need to be busting their a** on every kid that can make a difference next year.
Looks like Beverly is committing today and Miami is the choose. Running out of options.

The Hauser brothers are transferring from Marquette. Both very solid players...
@jayballer73 He is 6'7 wing type player. Possibly a stretch 4.
Tristan Enaruna is down to KU, Creighton, and Miami. He will visit all 3 at the end of the month per Evan Daniels.
If we can't land this kid against those two schools with immediate playing time then WTF.
@BeddieKU23 who is his final 2 , Duke and ??
Yea, the Hurt shipped has sailed. Pretty epic whiff by Self.
KU officials said the attendance was estimated at 5,000
Not KU related , but I just saw Buzz Williams picked up FOUR commits yesterday! That’s insane for basketball. I think a couple of them were players he had committed to him at VA Tech, but still very impressive. He’s going to kill it at A&M.
Stanley knows Hurt is going there so he wouldn’t be visiting if he wasn’t ok with the roster situation. I think Duke will land both.
I have faith in Self but I’m growing pretty pessimistic about what he’s going to salvage here.
Hurt is going to Duke. I assume Stanley is now as well. I don’t think Precious comes to KU. As of right now we don’t even have a official visit secured with Beverly. I just don’t see how this ends well for Self and KU.
Stanley is visiting Duke this weekend.
Unfortunately we know how this story ends. They are going to swoop in and get him and hurt this next week.
Doke is most likely going pro. I think that has been the expectation all along.
There are still quite a few dominoes that have to fall before we can even begin to wonder what next years team will look like. I know it is hard , but just need to be patient.

Also, just thought about how USA Basketball helped KU exaclty none amount. I don't even know why coaches do it at this point. It hasn't helped a single coach recruit yet. Not even Stumpy or Cal.
Pretty funny to look back on it now. I remember reading countless articles about how much of a unfair advantage it gave Self when it came to recruiting those kids and we got absolutely nothing from it.
Jaxson Hayes from Texas declared today
Self meeting with RJ Hampton today
@kjayhawks agree 100%. I honestly not sure he even gets drafted. If he wants to move on and pursue his dream then so be it.

Quote from Self. He’s gone for good.
Can you stream ESPN + on your TV or is it only on mobile devices?
Beverly visiting Georgia this weekend

Money has always been the most important factor in that recruitment. Been hearing such for over a yr now
That’s what I was trying to insinuate . It’s almost like they aren’t even hiding it. I mean he’s saying he is wide open to any school still.
UCLA is now recruiting Precious. That just seems like a weird recruitment all the way around.
PJ Washington _ UK
Jared Harper - Auburn
Both declared today.
@Kcmatt7 I don't even think he is a good fit their at all. He is a blue collar guy from Cincy and just doesn't seem to fit in LA. I guess we will see.
I am not sure UCLA is that good of a job anymore or I think you would have seen bigger name coaches reach out and try to go there. Nobody wanted the job. I think that says a lot about where UCLA is.
UCLA has finally found its coach. Mick Cronin from Cincinnati.
Admon Gilder will be a grad transfer from A&M.

So people really think these games are rigged ?? My god.
Chris Mullin is stepping down at St. John’s, and they are targeting Bobby Hurley.
.. R.J. Hampton continues to round out his game. The five-star's talent level and athleticism makes him elite right off of the bat. Now that he can defend multiple spots, create for others and himself and has filled out more, the production has followed suit. Kansas and Memphis are the front-runners, with Duke and Kentucky not too far behind.
From Corey Evans ( Rivals)

Officially official
Damn . I have no clue how Self is going to fill this recruiting class, but if he does so effectively I will never question him again.
I’m not holding my breath though. It’s looking pretty bleak to say the least.

Johnathan Givony seems to think Hurt will be at Duke
@FarmerJayhawk I am not talking about getting 13 top 100 kids and or immediate impact kids. I understand that’s not feasible in most cases. I’m talking about kids that actually belong at the KU level. We have already heard Self is combing through the Juco ranks. JC kids hardly ever pan out at the next level.
FarmerJayhawk said:
RJ Hampton down to 4: KU, Duke, Memphis, UK, and will cut to 3 soon. Seems more and more likely he’ll end up in 2019. I think UK gets the axe
Seems like he is Duke bound regardless .
I’m legitimately wondering if Self will have 13 scholarship players next year. I mean legit KU players. I just don’t see how he is going to find 5 players this late in the game. Going to be fascinating to watch.
Dixon is not going to UCLA
Yes, he is graduating in May. So he will be a grad transfer with 2 years to play.

Is KJ gone for sure? I haven’t seen that reported anywhere...
Never mind. Just saw it. No surprise to me. I expected him to leave with Dedric. I doubt Self was surprised either.
