Six for seven by Elm, Johnny and Nick.

3-18 from KJ Juando and Hunter. Pretty sure that will be better in the second half.
I hate to even think it could be worse.
KJ, Hunter and Juan nine points. Nineteen by our former liabilitys.
How are we only down by nine,
Three for seventeen by our guys we needed to get off tonight.
The uglier this game gets the better for us. And it's pretty ugly so far.
It will help if we can keep the game in the 60's. Tech shoots 48% and 36% and is tied with BYU for second lowest turnovers. They score and defend almost evenly with us. So the game is likely in the 70's. Hunter for 22, Juan, Johnny and KJ for 45 so ten points from our 5th starter and bench may just do it. It's a season saving boost if only.
25 boards? Survived whew.
What???
The bench and Kevin's spot need to make up the missing eighteen. Zero so far.
Nick and Elmarko a disaster so far.
So cool man so cool.
You say the quiet parts out loud.
Hunter played well especially having two very athletic forwards to contend with and Juan defended and played well also. KJ played well with assists and steals and he will not get a lot of boards against a zone. He shot 50% but missed at least two point blank shots but 13 points isn't poor by any means.
Hunter has made one of his last eighteen threes.
Perry scored 23 after the break on some are you kidding me shots and they hit something like 13 out of 15 from the line to hold us off late.
No bench again and as we know by now no starter can have an off night or else.
Not bad luck just reality.
Foul trouble
When Hunter sits we go stale. Hurt us all year.

Turnovers continue to be the Achilles heal
Better when you are shooting 70% not so much at 44%.
We can't crack the code.
Gonna be a long game with their D. We may find out how good we are.
Foul trouble x2
Daring us to make a three.
Bilas a Wildcat homer I guess.
The top four conference teams get a double bye in our tourney which likely means less wear and tear going into the nationals.
Dickinson is as tough as we have and that's saying something.
With 5 minutes to go and Cryer singly getting Houston within three possessions Self assigned Juan exclusively to Cryer who accomplished one assist, one turnover and one missed air ball three the rest of the way.
KJ is John Shaft.
Kevin wants it as bad as anyone and you don't need to ask him.
Furphy was; I wish he could play defense, wow he can really shoot, we may have found or fifth starter, you might not want to get between him and a rebound; to now he's special and this team, Phog willing, believes in itself.
If we score 35 in the second they will need 51 to win. Avoid scoring drought to stave off a double digit run they will need.
Yeah and a luxury we would like to see.
Zilch bench points but Houston with only four.
Oh yeah is performing instead of promise. Wiggins was special in jumping and quickness but not as gutsy as Furphy.
Houston with Cryer in foul trouble and we are too. KJ and Cryer both one quick one away from sitting half of the second half.
It hasn't been perfect but wowser you can see how good we can be.
Houston looking tired.
The gift from down under.
Keep on'em.
Houston with two wing and a prayer makes.
Has a bone bruise and Self says he should be good to go.
ESPN analytics gives us a 24.7% of winning.
First 10 minutes will be interesting.
The line has moved to +1.5 so it may be who knows what by game time.
Only the second time we have been a dog at Allen under Self. How will it play out IDK but want to see us handle the pressure. Glad we have the Furp who will hit the boards and get out on the break.

Not gonna lie , pretty worried about Saturday. -- Houston ,s good - - physical , and just looks like they don't get rattles. -- -Shaad is very legit , I dunno gonna take a hell of of alot better ball handling an decisiion making then we have been getting recently.
Not sure who will guard Shaad , I guess Harris although Shaad a lot bigger frame bully Juan. , Hunter on Roberts - -KJ on Francis. Who knows not gonna be easy
What is noticeable about the Cougars is their strong effort on every play. The game can be tied up and they will harass your ass on defense and force you into a bad shot or turnover and attack your weakness on offense and bingo you are down by six and you look like you're just hanging on. They speed you up I think and then you are not finishing at the rim and missing threes and you better get offensive rebounds and on their end you can play good D but but they crash the boards on you.
A team effort.
Jamari!

Should be up 30, but great half
18 is the new 30 this year.
Furph looking athletic.
Lots of hustle on D. Nice
Elmarko being aggressive.
snazzy dime for Jamari
The NC GT game will be on until 8:30.

ISU and their fans may not be everyones cup of tea but they really bring a lot of energy to the gym. They're idiots but it feeds energy to their team and ISU seems to be always skilled enough to feed off it and regularly challenge us or beat us.
For the 2nd Saturday in a row, down 2, we've had a call go against us (last week the clean steal by Elmarko and the almost sure run out to a game tying hoop) and today around the 1 minute mark a missed travel call against them would've given the ball down two inside a minute left chance to tie or take the lead. But Kansas gets all the calls.
I'm a little puzzled by the Bill Self tech. Seemed pretty clear the kid got swiped across the head.
Too many careless turnovers. Passes either telegraphed, or off target. Announcer kept telling us ISU forces a lot of TO's and maybe they do but today they seemed to be a lot of unforced errors.
Read it in the game thread, but KJ is such a liability at the line that teams are going to start fouling him so that he maybe only scores 1 or even 0. His formerly deadly 10 foot jumper seemingly has abandoned him as well.
If DaJuan had scored 1 more point we most likely would have won given his when DaJuan scores 10 or more stat.
Saw video of old clone fans behind the bench mocking Bill Self when he got his T. Fine with me, They've seen one of their teams in the FF way back when Marcus Fiezer was around. We've had 6 in that time period and 2 championships. If they want to look like immagure old dudes on twitter, godspeed old clones.
I hate watching bigs camp in the lane without whistles. Edey does it, Hunter does it, ISU did it a bunch today. Dang just blow the whistle. Guys will learn not to do it.
I just kind of wish Johnny would stop playing so well, LOL, I just don't want him going pro which seems to be the chatter.
DaJuan and Hunter are our top 3 point shooters, Johnny is 3rd. DaJuans today was impressive, I believe it was a shot clock beating swish. I don't want him to become high volume but he's made 18, an average of 1 a game of course, but 2 a game would be better.
At this point I'm just kind of holding out hope the post season team gets hot and it turns into a memorable season. This is just feeling like one of those top 3 seed teams that gets embarrassingly run from the dance in the 2nd round which is when it always seems to happen.
Rock Chalk Bucketeers!
It would be nice if the post season team gets hot. We have five scoring players and if they all have a good game we total about 75 to 80 points. The important word is all. If one has a bad shooting game, several turnovers or sits extended time because of foul trouble we are going to be playing catch up without any back up. It's already happened. Sometimes we can overcome it and sometimes we could/will get beat even if we are playing good. Razor thin and it's gonna be an exciting trip so I'm not going to expect more than a reasonable outcome. These guys are not jerks or slackers and we might see our three bench players bail us out.
It's going to be a long hard road to the post season. When we play tough defense like we did today we are basically in foul trouble sooner than later with no calvary in sight. No one can have an off night. What is the team to do? Lots of pressure on our top five who are as good as about anyone. The effort they gave today was great. I like these players and we might show them some love instead of shade.
They played a perfect half. Okay OSU and Houston both in Allen.
