I'm of the age where I can't think of the player's names but I can remember how many freckles Tootsie Taylor had on her sweet ah person from 1971.
We need a penetrating player to develop and quickly probably Furphy and Elmarko. When Juan is watching everyone floundering around trying to get in place he can do his drive and scoop or take the dare and chuck it up. We'll lean on our four until the dust settles. I want to believe in Kev baby shooting 40% from three but.... KU 81 - 61 and Elmarksman with 23 or Furphy with 15. I mean it could maybe might happen. So happy it's finally here.
It's very hard to overcome a 3 point disparity of minus eight. I thought during the game they were unconscious from three and got anything they wanted at the rim. There was a Zach sighting who is a nice three point shooter, during practice.
We didn't live up to the expectation of three starters returning though.
I don't care if Dickinson is edgy unless he beats his chest instead of getting back on defense. I do want to see why Self is so enamored with him.
I can't remember all of the games you mentioned but the losses against Oregon, Villanova and Arkansas were strikingly familiar in that Jay Wright, Dana Altman and Eric Musselman all exploited a player matchup weakness that KU could not stop. Maybe because of a lack of quality defensive depth.
I'm glad it's finally over and ready for the regular season to start. Self may have a chip on his shoulder this season and I kind of hope he does.
Texas and OU will get the same schedule hosing as Mizzou received in their first two years. Instead of getting into the normal schedule division rotation it started in the third year. All the SEC states except Texas and Florida are rated among the bottom ten in having a pot to piss in. Wonder if Texas can muscle in the SEC like they did in the B12? Or who cares?
Adversity in pay per performance jobs means someone can get a bonus by reducing labor cost and do nothing themselves while everyone else has to make it work. It's not labor versus management but labor versus stockholders.
Our QB started out and had me thinking he's not an elite passer but he snapped out of it and made some excellent passes and when he takes off running he becomes truly special.

I think a million dollar reduction in salary is crazy high. Heck if they fired him he could probably collect better than that even if the U protested.
The university and athletic department will take these steps to protect (CYA) themselves and to show they are aware that the coaches action was impermissible and the sensitivity training will be a documented action thereof. Just in case some sort of civil accusation is made. It's the way of the world.

These various dogmas did not always tolerate (hate) each other as easily as they currently do but are united in their fear mongering. Texas makes their coaching decisions with input from outside of the athletic department. Never quite sure of the results. Sometimes it seems they reach for a reason to hire or fire.
Devo Davis scored about 25 pts in the second half against KU and three total against UCON. Shrug.

Our starters were stars. We will see who goes and who comes in.and if anyone thinks it's just about the money well this is American capitalism where we pay a lot for a little so hell yes it's about the money and how much. The players and families will get a lot of information to decide for themselves.
Hope that everything works out well for them and so forth. Not to mention Bill Self's decision which is the biggest thing right now.
