Storr is into it, finally!
17 bench points without Flory? Good stuff
Fouls 13 to 8? really refs?
AJ way over Griffen tonight.
OMG?
Fran said something intelligent. We are looking for another scorer. And Diallo should get the T.
We are so Helter Skelter without Charles Manson not exactly smooth sailing but another bad/missed call. Good Hustle by Hunter on Shak's miss.
Flory we love you.
I said this 3 games ago that we are the worst team at ending halves I can remember. Fumble bumble bumble. Good comeback though.
HYes!!
Mercy T.O.
Double digit deficit. Again.
Their guy makes his 2nd three. Of the season. We've seen that before this year in a loss. Geez.
I hope Hunter can hit 60% of his going forward. We are one of the best defensive rebounding teams and thus one of the best limiting 2nd chance opportunities. Our defense is solid FG% and 3pt% are limiting teams we play. We need to hit a couple more 3 pointers per game ourselves and this and Hunt being more efficient would get us 2 seed.
KU 83 - 63.
I am living a few miles from University of Arkansas and Coach Calipari. Ark is 0-4 in SEC and OMG the game has passed Coach Cal by and it was a mistake to hire him, a very costly mistake lol. My lovely wife is a fan so I watch most of the games and they play hard all the time on defense or they sit. She gets frustrated with the team and says she can't take it and goes to another room. I come to bed and she asks well did they win? No but they played their asses off but couldn't shoot. I will not call the Hogs!!
@drgnslayr Yes and 15 boards.
@drgnslayr The thing that has me screaming or maturely quietly scowling at the TV is my perception that we repeatedly have to dig ourselves out of deficits after the first 5-10 minutes of games. Brick a few shots and we are down by double digits and have one of our 25-30 point halves. Then the warning from the announcers to the viewing audience "you know KU at some point will make a run." Shorten the game to 30 minutes and be down 28 - 42 at the half. And we make a run.
@Crimsonorblue22 One of the finest plays in the game.
I think Storr is understanding our system better which is good because I don't. Griffen did not hoist up one shot. I keep hoping for the trey explosion to come to fruition but not yet. Come on guys you are just remaining anonymous for no reason all I ask is a clean open on balance try. If it's not there then you may want to guard better because opposing teams are getting those looks. Bill can only yank you in turn and put you back in for the next yank.
BTW my grand nephew has a good year with the Jets. 30 carries for 174 yards (5.8) 1 TD. 9 receptions 74 yards 1 TD. 7 solo tackles and 9 returns for 232 yards. Thanks for listening.

@Zabudda the flory dribbling is funny and I’d like to hear more about the Tay Tray Cait sandwich
I probably should leave that be and in the conference final who knows there may be a different top or bottom bun in play.
The Chiefs won by sacking Houston and about knocking out their QB. I left the game thinking about that and a Taylor - Travis - Caitlin sandwich with chips and a Pepsi. I better go back to bed a snuggle up to my own warm baby.
Watch Hunter manage his own game and decide how much energy he chooses to expend on each play. He only has a certain amount of gas in the tank and he decides when he uses it based on a likely outcome of how much impact his presence will lead to a successful end. He knows what is going on all the time and takes into consideration the score and game clock when he decides to act. It may be whether to make one of his suicide dribble drives or hand it off to Juan or Zeke at the top of the key. I think maybe he has inspired Flory to try the suicide dribble drive thing but Flory starts the drive from the defensive foul line instead of his own foul line like his mentor does. You can't deny it cause you have seen it too! Flory is ballsy enough to do it in a game where Bill gets that oh shit look. I can see the guys back in the dorm say good one dude coach about passed out.
ISU loses to WVU. Houston pulls one out by one.
On to TCU on Wednesday at Fort Worth. This is a good opportunity to pick up a needed road win. Udeh at 8 ppg, 8 rpg. 1.5 bpg.
@sabramo19 Thanks!
Our formula going forward is we have three scorers Hunt, Mayo and Juan and we need more points from them every game like this as there is none coming elsewhere. I would say 55 - 60 which they can get. Our bench is just not going to hit threes like I hoped. This way we will be in any game and that's all we can ask. Good home win.
Shak with the hops.
KSU is running their offense smoothly and getting open shots if they are down it's not because of our defense.
If you are talking about my statements then you may be right.
But you cannot mean that about Butt Cheek Jones' side straddle release!
Hunter made two decisions to take it easy and not over exert himself and ISU hustled and got possession. One was followed by an ISU three dagger. They played us tougher than we could handle but in spite of our bad passing we still got good looks but couldn't convert. It looks like Juan, Zeke and a top five recruiting first year class of three and four stars who we thought and they thought were likely one and done guys. Our basic offense just looks like a road to nowhere. I go into games thinking it will finally click and the pent up talent will explode. I haven't given up but hurry up before I give out. Of course it is hard to win when Cyclone Jones who shoots with one butt cheek facing the basket is making 30 footers.
Come on Hunter!
Tat on you Hunter
It's not the end of the world and let us see who steps up.
Well it will be a hard task to come back by 10.
Every bounce and unexpected luck went to ISU. We worked our ass off and it blew up in our face. Jones has the worst shot set up I've ever seen. They fumble bumbled around and a miracle happened. Three big treys by Juan, Griffen and Mayo that keep us in touch wasted.
ISU upped their defense intensity a level or two smelling the blood. Nice bucket by Juan.
Do you like the earlier start at 6:00?
Hunter shooting threes is just another look to get the lane congestion smaller. He's shooting at 25% and we have seen him make a couple and he started the season shooting 50% from the free throw line and now he is at 75% plus he's a good passer and can drive as evidenced in the last game. If Flory is playing with him he rebounding success improves. We've got a bunch of midgets who have figured out it's a good idea to drive into the lane and those misses are easier to anticipate than threes which bounce way off. Zeke is a good at rebounding and if our shots get blocked it's as likely to come back to us as not.
Hunter with 20 and the two shots he takes from the arc which he can make one or both will be a boost. Can Juan, Zeke and Shak contain their guards? Maybe and depends who they each guard. Just slowing them down will be enough.
@stoptheflop
Especially Hunter he needs 20 in this game.
Flory needs 8.
KJ needs 10.
Zeke needs 20 also.
We have to make them guard all our guards. They will clog the lane as everyone else has. Coit will shoot from three he always does. Moore needs to make a couple and drive for floaters, Zeke needs to make a couple and get to the rack. Storr needs to make one and go at it hard and keep drawing fouls. Shak needs to make one and drive it with his speed. Juan has to make one and drive and dish and drive for his floater or reverse scoop layup. We need one or two more treys one for Hunter because he will be played rough and he will play rough but will get calls against him. He will get pissed and a pissed Hunter will make one or two threes just to show the Cyclones and the refs the finger. That will be nine treys which will get us in the upper 70's and a 5 point win.
Do not and I mean don't get below 35 in the first half. We need to be tied all game. We actually get more offensive rebounds than they do. Zeke is surprisingly adept at putting back his misses. it would be nice if Flory has a breakout game and help Hunter control the defensive boards. I can see KJ and Hunter and Flory sitting out with two fouls and three fouls but hopefully not at the same time. Hunter our potential AA needs to hit all of his little jumpers.
Can our suddenly vaunted defense actually hold ISU to 70 points while our offense gets after it until they are scorching the nets.
If they are just better than us like faster, tougher, more energized and better shooters okay but if we are equal, as tough and as energized we can over come the noise and maybe some bad calls. When we beat up UCF on the road we saw what this team can do and if AJ, Moore and Shak can stun the Cyclones with their breakout games. I know it's coming and we can ride it all the way to a one seed.
And currently Duke is the only ranked team in the ACC.
If he can go back to finishing at the rim it makes him more valuable and us more dangerous. When we got it going it was from Hunter doing a Joker drive and finish and shows Hunt has cajones. Shak turned the corner and got downhill and he is instant spark. He is not scared either. Zeke got in the lane made a pass and hit a floater followed by Juan's. AJ went hard and make both throws that had a big impact on the game. If we can make 10 threes we can or will be in position to win every game. This game left me stunned as every type of shot just would not go in.
We had 5 turnovers in the first 8 minutes and 2 in the last 32. Why in the world was this game not boring?
Teams can't shoot worth a hoot but we win by over 10.
Announcer said Cincy just 2 for 18 from three. KU said here hold my brick.
A four possession game ain't no shame.
Bills screaming move the ball and Shak says floater anyone.
How can you possibly go 2/20 from 3.
