@stoptheflop the mobile view on KuSports is pretty bad. I agree about that. Just not laid out well. The content is still decent, for what it is.

Imagine! • May 21, 2022 10:37 PM

@BShark wait Jarrett Mcculver is transfering to KU from Texas Tech?

Not as bad as some random dude in a FF promo pic that is supposed to be Remy.

This is where being named after alcohol or fashion designers is a strength

@tis4tim i lolled.

My iphone wants his name to be Macular. I guess if he breaks people down with his d it will be Macular Degeneration. You might say whomever he does it to fails the eye test. I’ll stop now.

@mayjay I dont watch ESPN, but I do frequent their site, and the sight of his face makes me anxious.

Ive hated the idea of coach K for so long i might not know what to do with myself once… ah f that, coach k who?

If only ESPN had a Stephen A block button

KU/Big 12 NBA draft decisions thread • May 18, 2022 10:36 AM

I was looking back over recent draft classes… enjoyed particularly the 2013 class which the nba had no clue how to evaluate as is evidenced by the order of picks. Im assuming because the talent was largely international big men, they didnt get it right. https://www.nba.com/stats/draft/history/?Season=2013 ↗

@approxinfinity whoops . With the 20th overall pick, the San Antonio Spurs select … Mitch Lightfoot?

KU/Big 12 NBA draft decisions thread • May 18, 2022 04:36 AM

To paraphrase Matthew Mcconnahey in Dazed and Confused, what i love about the NBA draft is that while the Lakers get one year older, the rest of the league stays the same age! Giggity.

KU/Big 12 NBA draft decisions thread • May 18, 2022 04:28 AM

with the 9th overall pick, the San Antonio Spurs select... Ochai Agbaji!

with the 25th overall pick, the San Antonio Spurs select... Christian Braun!

with the 38th overall pick, the San Antonio Spurs select... Jalen Wilson!

If Jalen goes I hope Spurs get Christian and Jalen (not really a possibility, but I can still dream)

Taking the board down for a few minutes • May 15, 2022 06:22 PM

Our cert provider is free i could also go w a paid cert if we have to but would prefer not to.

Taking the board down for a few minutes • May 15, 2022 06:21 PM

@bskeet i have some theories but i think it starts with upgrading the OS version on the server. I may switch everything back from no www to www for the certs, dns etc as a last resort. Id like to improve our seo to get some new people as well as have people not wonder “wtf?” If they come to our board with a www link and its broken. I think all links on twitter default to www, so yeah that really hurts traffic.

Taking the board down for a few minutes • May 15, 2022 06:04 PM

@mayjay lol that makes one of us. This isnt my wheelhouse, and by dilligently you mean “begrudgingly acknowledge after several months (?) that i should do something “ then yes.

Taking the board down for a few minutes • May 15, 2022 12:27 PM

@mayjay I need to fix something with our ssl certs but what I tried didn't do it. I'm going to do a board upgrade soon and will address it then. If you want to see the issue do this in an incognito browser window. Don't do this in your real browser window because I don't want your experience getting borked. In an incognito window go to / you may see that with the www it doesn't work. Https://kubuckets.com however does. This is a big problem. It needs to recognize the cert for both. Anyway. I will fix it.

Everything Bill Self • May 14, 2022 08:01 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 good butterfly effect theory. Does seem like some recruitments could have anowballed from there. Though its hard to imagine Illinois as a nike flagship. Illinois brand wouldnt sell like Duke or Kentucky?

Everything Bill Self • May 14, 2022 04:41 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 ah. Good point. But i dont think the Duke guys and Kentucky guys go there.

Everything Bill Self • May 14, 2022 10:39 AM

@wissox The shoeco train couldn’t be stopped. I seriously doubt most of the guys you mentioned play for Self at Illinois. Im sure he saw he’d have much more consistent access to higher pedigree of talent going to Kansas.

Ja Morant, Least Likeable Superstar • May 11, 2022 03:37 AM

Ja Morant, who stares down a little kid in a warriors jersey trying to give him a high five

has a bone bruise after jordan poole grabbed his knee supposedly “breaking the code” according to Ja

Ja Morant, whom ESPN celebrates even when his highlights are clearly charges

Return to playoffs doubtful. You hate to see it, you really do.

Where art thou, Jaybate? • May 07, 2022 11:21 AM

there is definitely something insightful to be gleaned from watching the radicalization of people through their writings over this past decade. In this period of time there have been two major forces consistent for all posters, basketball that generally makes us feel whole and world affairs that make us feel broken. This place has helped us make sense of both and how they reconcile. Which is why jaybate remains so critical. He is the bridge, the embodiment of this place.

I cant believe an elite defender wont end up a good rebounder. The two skills go hand in hand. If you are playing good d youre putting yourself in position to get the rebound. Not worried and excited hes coming back.
