@BShark true story. And ya kinda get the feeling he's been a Selfs doghouse dweller for a lil too long this season. But he wouldn't be the first to turn it around and get on the same page with Coach. Which is what I'd hope for. Would be the best scenario for Bragg and KU honestly

@kjayhawks for whatever reason they just didn't do tonight what they had been doing the entire tournament this far. Which is play every possession on both ends as if it were game point. We heard the guys talk about this in previous post game interviews. It's really what made them looked unbeatable for the last 3 games. The thing they had been missing alot of the season against subpar teams in my opinion. Hoped they figured out how to get past that. I don't believe Oregon is better, they just were when it mattered most and that hurts the worst I think. We didn't move the ball well at all. Took quick and hurried shots. Played almost too urgent on the offensive end. And just several possessions of just plain purely lackadaisical defense especially first half. To the point that they needed to be perfect on D and very good on O in the second which I think made the offensive end even more tense.

@HawkChamp actually think I'd have been more surprised to not hear those rumors in this case

Easiest way I've found to not be offended is not to really give a sh!T what anyone says. And not need you're opinion validated. Also being Irish helps. I have those going for me. Very difficult to nearly impossible to offend me. It's rather nice

@globaljaybird don't think you have a fire a guy to point a deficiency. I mean my wife hates the fact i don't do dishes very often. But I don't think she's divorcing me over it. And ya. I'm trying to do that for her more often. Growth

@BigBad it's crazy and I would've never bet on it. But Bragg was so lackluster this year. I nearly forgot about the idea I had that he would be a huge part of this teams success. He made himself nearly forgettable. Crazy

Probably should just call coach at the beginning of the season and let him know the team is special by that logic. Don't worry about tweaking anything or adjusting or trying to get better... They're special come on. Doesn't work that way. Bill adjusted alot of things to make them as good as they were. The goal is to get better by a small percentage everyday in order to get alot better by the end of the season. For the most part that happened. But we quite honestly played December or January defense tonight in late March for a half. And played tight and hurried on offense for an entire game. Some ppl feel like that is a pattern. Those that don't.. that's your choice. What I see or say simply doesn't require your agreement. Hope we do better next time. The end

FM still ridiculous though. Gonna suck without him next year. Hope he gets his due on the national honors

I was seeing it early first half already. Self sitting on the bench biting his nails... Tense ya know. Hate it but I think he was tight again and the guys were too. Not alot of other explanation for missing so many shots. Way below our season average

@DoubleDD guess you neglected to read the part that said I don't like being right about it. Gotta play more than 10 min in the tournament. Plain and simple. It was a tendency that scared me more than any other deficiencies this team may have had

Damn it I hate being right all too often... And that's why you don't rely on words like "special" and expect a few minutes of good play to win games. Oh. And from now on. Self is on the bench for E8 games. Sorry Bill. You're terrific. But Townsend or someone else is gonna have to be the head guy for the E8

@kjayhawks idk. If SC plays defense like that. They can make it tough on anyone. I think they've been overlooked and probably rightly so based on body of work. But I look for them to come out of the left side of they continue to play D. On the other hand. Statistics show Martin has always had Drew's #. Not that that is largely uncommon

So far the pace certainly favors UK. Can't say I'd ever root for either team under any circumstances. Will say I'm ready to be done hearing about "ball"

Gotta say. If were fortunate enough to advance that far. I'm glad U of A won't be there to play in Phoenix. Even though I picked them to lose the national final to KU in my bracket.

Defense won the game. Hitting shots is what won it by 30. What terrific ball movement this team is capable of. You simply can't defend ball movement like that

@wissox just history alone would elevate the OSU job in my opinion. The recruiting grounds maybe for Illinois is really the only upside I could see. And that's really still a maybe. Well. That and of course the $..

Funny to me almost. Doesn't it seem like it's already an elite 8 matchup? Just throw in Izzo and you don't really have to look at numbers or stats or metrics. Ppl saying we got a nice tourney path. Idk if it is or not. But this game first... Izzo, and hopefully after that you play another that feels like it should be an E8 game vs either the Big10 regular season champ or the Big12 tourney champ.

Holiday time with the kids and family. My nieces and nephews around for the short time they are. There's nothing topping that. But the madness? Ya there's nothing besides the former of the two that compares. Atleast not since the dirt show is over
