Self will absolutely push him. If and only if he thinks now is the best chance he has to get his best contract. Outside of that he would have him back in a heartbeat. Just not predominately for offense. Defense, IQ, experience, and what he can offer the new guys first and foremost
@drgnslayr this does seem a common theme. I'm not sure I'd put it on anyone with the staff outside of CS himself. Imo he actually prefers guys that are more basketball savvy perhaps. Like Kevin. Just a very intelligent basketball player. Not saying you can't get both. I think he'd love to have both but I also think there's only so many of those that have the talent, athletism, and the very intellectual understanding of the game beyond their years to a degree.

I believe the BiG12 actually bought the rights to the title Big14 and Big16 when they went to 12 originally. Agree that the BIG 10 is pretty silly now that they are gonna be at 16 and maybe lookin for more
Ya this hurts. It always hurts anytime when we don't win it all. We're fans. We're FANATICAL. We want another weekend. We want another game to look forward to. We wanna see the kids grow just that much more and the success that comes with it.

@Texas-Hawk-10 great for him if he can do it. He definitely should. The reward is certainly over the risk. His stock is not apt to improve alot, maybe just a lil but playing the "if" game on getting hurt, etc
Anything can happen vs any team within a point or 2 with a minute or less to go. Those games happen. Sometimes when they shouldn't. This was a shouldn't. It never should have been that close to have to worry about it. That's just the truth and we all know it. Players know it, coaches know it. It sucks. But it's not gonna change

@Crimsonorblue22 why is it one way or the other? Who is to say you can't go get talent and coach them? We know we have a Coach. Why can't talent be the missing ingredient? May not need the one and done types. But surely better talent provides better ceiling. Language often referred to by Self and staff.

I don't think JWil goes 1st round at all. But maybe early to mid 2nd. But still if it pays like that, no question. @FarmerJayhawk if a big12 team makes the title game or something some will say it wasn't BS.. the tourney is a crapshoot, etc. But imo you need to get more teams to the second weekend and the last honestly to proclaim "best league ever, hands down"
Actually the big12 not showing up great here so far. Idk if we just beat each other up too bad or if it's just smoke in mirrors. I hate when they yammer all year about how great the league is.... are you basing that on the first 10 games of a 35 games season?

@Texas-Hawk-10 this we see similar. Norm is a great dude and almost perfect assistant to CS imo. But not a great HC. And not an HC at all anymore for good reason. But also not the reason, definitely not the sole reason we lost this game.
I still can't fathom how you pull Gradey right after he hits his first 3. Obviously I'm not a D1 coach but I just can't justify it

@Kcmatt7 UT at home and Baylor second half at home. Probably what I'd consider their ceiling. But like CS says. Teams will usually play around 5 games below who they are, 5 above who they are, and the rest are true to who they are. I'd called today one if the below obviously
Overall honestly one of the funnest teams I've ever watched. I think they had a high ceiling but definitely didn't get there. Always a sad day when it's over

Alot of lazy defense the second half led to getting beat at the line as well. Also shouldn't discount the fact we should go into half up 15 plus on missed bunnies, etc.
Disappointed that they got beat by a team that just had more want to when it mattered most.
11 point lead blown. Had no answer for their run. Ugly
