Guess I’m a racist. I can’t stand stupid people.
@JayHawkFanToo Correct I think we are all saying the same thing; up to now it’s been the nba. From here on out it will be the NCAA approving agents.
@JayHawkFanToo I think that would be a change that is coming as @mayjay is pointing out.
Also the NBA would have to get rid of the age requirement for the high school players to be draft eligible...so why do they need an agent? To help UK get a recruiting edge, he answers his own question.
@jaybate-1.0 It’s been 5 years since I lost my brother. I’m still moved to tears by certain things...you came close, but I’m at work no time for that. :)
@Kcmatt7 I’m afraid so and if it’s this bad for white people it’s only worse for others
@Crimsonorblue22 Like Vick? You don’t have to hold the spot if they declare. It could cause some serious depth and the resulting playing time issues. Or recruits could skip you entirely if they don’t know what the playing time situation will be.
Illegal immigration is a major issue here. I’ll bet 10-15% of the local population is undocumented. The problem is many of these productive people have been denied citizenship for over a decade inspite of every legal attempt to become just that legal citizens. One of my farmers just was granted citizenship after 12 years of applying and having no record and paying taxes religiously. It’s a broken process that many just give up on.
Ehh my white brother was murdered by his white ex-wife and the white police officers did nothing about it. It’s not just a race thing. The police are genuinely bad at their job and like most people many are lazy which give the rest of them a bad name as well.
What will Cal do if he can’t force guys out thru the draft?
It’s hard for guys with such a short window of a pro career (nfl players avg 5 years) to hold out. Especially if they haven’t gotten the big contract yet.
Sorry for your loss. It’s never easy. We need the distraction of a basketball season even more now!
Just a little spat with another prolific poster. He’s taking a break. Hopefully he comes back reinvigorated when things ramp back up. Not much going on in the world of KU hoops currently.
@HighEliteMajor Glad we had him, glad he left. It invigorated both teams.
@Kcmatt7 Red Sox yankees Astro’s for the foreseeable future. Throw in the Dodgers as well. They are all very good and pretty young. We’re just going to have to deal with it. Lol

@drgnslayr I say we name one of our exits after him.
Lol. I’m going to quote you on that one!
Now I’m gong to Roy this conversation. Good bye.
@wissox Barnes and Hoiberg were very good coaches. Huggins is alright. The rest are pretty average.
I still think you can hire Meyer at this point, but he’d need an assistant morality coach to follow him everywhere. Sheesh it’s amazing how many people put their job ahead of others wellbeing.
@jaybate-1.0 Weber did tie for a title in 2013, but KU beat them, 3 times that year. That was a fun Big 12 tournament to be at!
@mayjay Heck I’ll even take a standup funeral (wedding) over the real deal!
@JayHawkFanToo you are absolutely correct. First one in my lifetime though. First since 1970. Seems like they should’ve won one in the 90s also.
Point still valid that they shit canned Tressel over tattoos and this is a domestic violence case in troubling times. Urban is in hot water.
@JayHawkFanToo They let Tressel go after winning the schools first ever national championship over tattoos. Who knows?
He may need an image rehab assignment. I know just the place assuming he is a decent human being who was misinformed or unaware.
@Texas-Hawk-10 as of today Tony Hull is he only decent recruiter in the staff. I’d sure like to see him stick around, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see everyone go.
Sounds like Urban Meyer may be available soon
What’s Jim Tressel up to these days? Surely there are a few tatoo parlors in Larryville still.
Doesn’t sound good for Beaty. Going to have to have a major recruiting haul or on the field results to keep his job. Neither look promising. There will likely be a new football coach just to change momentum, but will it matter?
@jaybate-1.0 All of the above are definitely factors. Beaty is too. They all need addressed.
@justanotherfan Arebt most of the eastern schools older? Might that skew the all time win totals? Or is it close enough?
@mayjay "There isn’t another way to put it, I just hate those guys," he said. "I hate everything about Mizzou. There is a kid from Chicago that is going to Mizzou, I know him real well. I just told him I can’t support him. I just hate them, I hate everything about them. I hate going there, I hate them coming here. I feel like K-State was a rivalry, but it was more of a respected rivalry. I just don’t like (Mizzou).”
Ilł give it a go
@approxinfinity It just stalls out when I push the change picture button.

Not epic enough to post multiple times.
Kira has jumped 80 spots recently on rivals. I like rising stars. I think he’d be a lot better than Agabagi (sp) or Cunliffe for that matter. You can never have too many athletes in practice. Minutes may be hard to come by, but practice would be better. If Kira’s a good shooter (I don’t know, but most 2 guards are as defined by the roll) KU definitely could use him.
@HighEliteMajor oh you’re not wrong. I just choose to see the glass half full. Preston never played. Silvio has and will continue to play unless told otherwise by the NCAA is how I see it. (KUs internal investigation and holding out has been harsher than the NCAA -Alexander, Preston)
@HighEliteMajor Yes it seems different this time. I’ve not heard the word optimistic. Also Bill has been a harder commit to DeSousa’s actually being able to play.
"All our guys were eligible last year, and we haven't heard anything that that was not the case still," Self said. "...I'm confident on (him being eligible), and I know Silvio is very confident on it.
Confident is more commital than optimistic. Bill is a wordsmith, gotta read between the lines. This sounds different than your first two examples, but maybe it’s supposed to.
And I was fairly confident Bragg would work out too, so I don’t ding Bill for that pothead not working out. Cheick still doesn’t know how to play basketball, but is wildly athletic - I understand his optimism there also.
Now let me paint myself into a corner. Preston should’ve been allowed to play given the “punishment” Sexton and Ayton received, so I understand Bill’s optimism.
@Camohawk See Derick Rose. Cost Memphis a bunch of games retroactively. The NCAA can pretty much do whatever it wants. On the other hand if the NCAA decides to penalize pretty much every power 5 team for this junk, they could ban together and make their own basketball association separate from the NCAA...with a middle finger flying in the air.
@jaybate-1-0 How about Western Kentucky’s fantastic recruiting run? Snags Coleby away from KU, nabs Mitchel Robinson, now Bassey. 🤔
@jayballer73 Bill says don’t worry, so I won’t worry. When Bill says to worry, I’ll worry.
@Fightsongwriter Yes KU was Nike in the Roy era.

At this point, I'd be in favor of the Big 12 doing a challenge with the Big East and the Pac-12 as well as the SEC. The Big 12 needs as many revenue producing opportunities as possible for the non-revenue schools (K-State, Iowa State, West Virginia). Give those schools a way to schedule another nationally televised non-con game.
Heck, I'd like to see the Big 12 do a football challenge as well for the same reason. The conference has to stay economically viable.
I don’t know about a Pac12 challenge...Walton...’nuff said.
