@drgnslayr Yeah, my sister uses her animal science degree at the bank she works at as a manager.
Moral of the story, just get a degree.

It's basically just a degree. It will definitely open doors. But won't lead to a specific career. As many don't use their degree as intended this isn't a bad route to go. It's also one of the few (only?) degrees you can complete thru KUonline (@$377 per hour -ouch!)
People have been terrible as long as there have been people. Cain wasn't so good to Abel. Doesn't seem to be getting better though.
@jayballer54 I don't know about Juiston. I'd figure Mario little would be a good comp on the limited info I have. He'd be nice to have. If nothing else he would make practices spirited.
Time for another one of those!
Makes me chuckle at the Oregon hats I'm seeing on KState fans heads.
Here's hoping for sone positive recruiting news soon to go along with some more hardware for Mason.
@BShark love ya man
I'd kick in another $20 for a user block button!
@HighEliteMajor ok. Kindly keep my name out of your mouth. I'll gladly do the same for you.
@HighEliteMajor I've read 3-4 posts with any ideas on how KU could've won the game by doing something differently. Bitching about Selfs record in the elite 8 while ignoring the actual matchups is asinine.
The couch coaches come out of the woodwork this time of year. Gotta prove how they know more than everyone including a hof coach. So where were you when the times were good?
Crying about a week old game while several posters are getting ready to go to chemo. Several more are going to funerals (got one this weekend for the sweetest aunt one could ever have). Others are struggling due to the markets, or related job loss. Etc is just plain silly.
If you want to cry there are good things to cry about. Time to move forward. There are good things on the horizon. Positive recruiting news, surprising player development, Bill Self year two in a new scheme that in year one got to the elite eight.
I'm looking forward to the death of the pity party and the birth of the build up of next season. Endless chances for optimism as long as Bill Self is the coach KU will have a shot.
@jayballer54 In the nation. But Juco sports are bigger in KS than most states, so it's a fair question.
@everyone No matter how hard you try you cannot convince me that winning the nit is better than making the ncaa tournament. KSU winning a play in game is more meaningful.
But good for TCU. Its a step in the right direction. Hopefully Jamie can get a decent program going in Texas. Lord knows KU needs challenged more in conference and Shaka sucks.
@mayjay nah,
Tongue in cheek.
If you really want to feel like someone throwing a pity party (pretty much what it is at this point) realize that KU has the 3rd best winning percentage in the NCAA tournament all time at 69% behind Duke 75% and Florida 71%
Most if not all those guys played some NBA ball. The only NBA stars on the list since 90 are Shaq, Tim Duncan, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, and Anthony Davis. So the oad and transfer trend doesn't seem to affect the quality of the winner too much. Obviously if Wiggins was a Sr. Or any of Kentucky's oad's had stuck around their college play would've been bettter, but it looks like the hit/miss rate of nba success is similar to how it was in the past.
Higgins is a thorn in my side, but I'd never want him harmed. Classy folks in Lexington.
Makes TCU the 69th best team.
Not Important Tournament

He better not end up at Texas
But agreed he's going to be a problem defensively wherever he goes. Insane Wingspan
I get the sentiment, but
I kind of hope he/other top talent pick the Big12 so KU is more battle tested late in the season. KU always gets everyone's best shot. I just wish it was a bit better to push KU to higher heights. Juices our team up to play a Durant, Beasley, Griffin, or even Heild.
When you asked about Missouri and the final four google would return did you mean Kansas Final Fours? It has since been changed. Cracked me up though.
@CaptnMo I guess they could. It seems most of those sec/Big12 games have been home and home. KU will play at home this year, but I don't want to see them have to go to MU next year and fill their place.
The Big 12 SEC challenge game hasn't been announced yet. It'll probably be Florida to get the most eyeballs, but I'd like to see KU play South Carolina (if SC is as good as they were this season).
November

@Blown four more years
Wann feel bad, then better? Realize that 3 of the 4 coaches in the final four are former coaches from Kansas. Keeps the K-State fans that want to rib ya at a good distance. They ran off 2 Final Four coaches for Bruce at least KU still has Bill.
Higgins sucks, but UK fans are the worst losers.
It was a 6 point game late after shooting 1-10 from 3 In the second half. Oregon was better that night, but KU absolutely would beat them the next 40 minutes they play. Devonte was scared to shoot his shot was so bad. (My wife couldn't get over the fear she saw in Devonte' - wanted him off the court) They missed wide open shots all game. The lane was plugged by Bell, but that doesn't explain all the missed wide open shots.
The downfall of Bill's more hands free approach to letting the guards just play is that they take up to 30 minutes to figure out a team. Also it allows very little opportunity for Bill to make in game changes. Basically when you tell them to go get it all you can do it up the intensity. You can't all the sudden insert a detailed game plan in the second half. This team didn't respond well to orchestrated game plans and did better on the fly. They just weren't quick enough figuring out the ducks.
The 6 point difference with a few minutes to go despite playing like absolute dog crap tells me Oregon isn't dominate. This isn't like Villanova, KU lost the game as much as Oregon won it. Villanova took the game from KU last year. Oregon caught KU on a bad shooting night with no other answer.
@FarNrthJHwk So is it easy to accidentally end up in Canada or are even the dirt roads clearly marked/blocked? That solitude would be fantastic, but I'm not a fan of bitter cold weather. Best of luck to you!

These kids can't predict having a horrible injury. They should get paid asap imo. Especially if they don't have much else to fall back on to earn a living.
Like a degree.
@nuleafjhawk Yuck. I don't wanna be Duke. There is room for respect on the court. You can kick your opponent more times if you help them get up. It's demoralizing to be dunked on by a guy, have him pick you up off the court, and then be denied the inbounds pass. I don't want dirty play, I want hard intense play for 40 minutes. But that means more than 6 players need to be game ready.
Like a racist remark, in print it lacks the venom spewed forth by the mouth of the vile person whom uttered it.
@mayjay It's just the annual pity party. A bunch of "super" fans melting down because of a loss. Unfortunately KU wasn't good enough to overcome a terrible shooting night. Nothing more, nothing less.
Bill Self is one of four finalists for Naismith Coach of the year. That's clearly a guy who should be fired.
Best magic trick? His disappearing act.
:poop: I couldn't help myself (I'm funny in my own head) maybe too soon?
@Crimsonorblue22 I'm glad he can use that terrible event to motivate him instead of drag him down. It's easy to let something like that (murder of your brother) destroy you. And I mean completely destroy everything you thought you knew about the world/god. It's not an easy thing to come thru on top.
Juiston sounds like one hell of a man and I will be routing for him wherever he goes as long as he isn't playing KU.
Frank deserved better from his teammates last night. Too bad they weren't in the gym with him last summer.
I thought they'd respond to adversity better. Fighting over rebounds? Graham scared to shoot?!? Josh hacking away! Aargh, Oregon didn't beat KU, KU beat KU by not showing up.
I'm really disappointed for the guys. I'm afraid next season will be a step back without our POY and stud freshman. I'm having a hard time getting excited about the future right now. I'm sure my spirits will soar once the guys get to Itally. For now I'm disappointed about back to back final four calibre teams losing at least a game short of their potiental.
Bill can't have a pity party, he's gotta go recruit his tail off and start getting next years team ready.
@Crimsonorblue22 said:
But I do, but I care more about wanting it for Mason and the team that works their rears off all year, not for guys like you that gripe more than appreciate the work they put in to our program.
+:100: Don't wanna be a crying ISU fan.
I gotta go. This is the device I'm streaming the game from.
Don't let your faces melt off when KU pulls their collective head out and begin to roast ducks.
@autohawk Not much more Frank can do. The rest of the guys need to step up!
It will be different once Josh gets into the flow of the game.
Enough passing to Lucas.
Defense. Defense? Defense? Calling the Defense, where are you?!?
6 more possessions per game also. Which is great for an efficient offense like KU 1.20 pts/possession. 8th most efficient offense, but that's not the whole story as the #1 and 2 offenses have already been booted.
Less frustrating more nerve racking. We've seen enough close games for one season. I'm ok with KU blowing out the competion the rest of the way.
UNC has a history of collapsing late in games this year. KU finishes strong. KU has beaten UK at Rupp. UCLA doesn't play defense. I'm not scared whether or not I should be. This game will likely determine the champion as the other side is weak.
Oregon first.
If you didn't vote you can't talk politics. @mayjay
