Sorry for my uninspired brackets this year. I almost didn’t fill any out. This year has been tough to get up for. Here’s hoping it’s what Bill needed to inspire him, because it’s having the opposite effect on me in particular and the fanbase in general. We all need re-vitalized soon. Good news on the horizon, please.
@wissox Not me defending the Huskers. One of their drunken fans broke my nose with a cheap shot. (At the bar Giddens got stabbed in, go figure). I liked the 2 guaranteed wins when they were in conference, same with Colorado. We did have an advantage with them in our half of the split conference. However the Texas teams had the advantage of not having to play KU twice as they soon came to realize.
@HighEliteMajor It depends if it’s a repair or a trim job. Mine was just trimmed and I walked out of the hospital on crutches that I ditched after the next day. However 4 months later I still am a little stiff and probably need to start doing stretches. I’d say I’m 90% - much better than before the surgery, but still not quiet right.
Not everyone is so lucky. Others get along better.
Repairing the mensicus (stitching it back together) on the other hand has a ridiculously long recovery time.
@jayballer73 They have a replacement meniscus that is in trials right now. Only people that have had issues with their first (or second) meniscus surgery are eligible for the trial. It may be something to look into if it’s not getting better.
@Crimsonorblue22 Still gimpy? Sorry to hear it. I’m a bit sore myself, but in all honesty now my other knee is feeling jealous. I can hardly fathom Tyshawn playing basketball just a week or so after his meniscus surgery!

It could be getting knocked off the mountaintop is what BIll needed. Break the cycle- Win a conference title, earn a top seed, advance at least to the sweet 16. It probably seemed easy to him It’s also likely a bit frustrating that he was inches away so many times with only one championship. However, once knocked off that mountaintop all you want to do is get back up there. I think this is what will ultimately make him a better coach.
@Kcmatt7 I’m still hopeful of a one year deal maybe in a trade for some more secondary help. Maybe they’ve identified their future CB in the draft, but they still need o-line, d-line, and linebacker help as well as receiver depth after losing Conley. There’s a bit of ground left to cover. I’m curious how Veach gets it done.
I’m also curious how he’s going to handle Tyreek Hill. OBJ, Hill, Hunt would make he Browns pretty damn good. I’m hopeful the kids broken arm was an accident, but with Hill’s past you can’t just give him a pass. It has to be thoroughly investigated and if he is responsible send him packing. At least this is before his $100 million contract had been signed - that would be a ton of dead cap space.

I think the suspension has to do with the 20K promised, but not delivered also. 2 years for $2,500 is too much, there must be some other consideration. Assuming the NCAA isn’t just plain evil.

For some reason I can still read ESPN+ articles If you can’t read it; SOR would be better, but NET isn’t too bad. KU would be a 3 seed by SOR, Gonzaga the last 2. Michigan a 1 seed and a team I think KU wants no part of.

The offense changed completely at least 3 times.
The leading scorer can’t be relied upon to score when needed.

The top 10 recruit is more dud than stud for reasons unknown.
Weird year. It would be a tough group to coach perfectly with all the moving parts.

No identity is the issue. Lost Dok and DeSoussa, so the post heavy high low went to the scrap heap. No one can hit a three with consistency so the 4 guard lineup looks like crap.
The only constants are Garrett is the best defender and Dotson makes the team go. Everyone else is wildly inconsistent.
