Just a couple of days ago early morning left the house to make a quick trip to Walmart for some things , coming back home turned the corner on my street and low and behold there sit a Sheriff's Cruiser blocking the street - -couldn't get to my house , looked on up the street and saw another Cruiser/SUV & and unmarked sitting right in front of my house. - -My 1st though was -HOLY CRAP is my wife ok , so I called her and ask - she said ya why ? - -so I told her what had happened and she looked out the front window and she says - - - Holy S - - -.
She precedes to tell me look a couple of houses on up our street - -and WOW there was an Armored Vehicle - and another tactical SUV - up in the Neighbors yard and countless Unmarked Cars ended up counting like 14-15 LEO vehicles of various types - -Sheriff's cruisers and pickups lining the street - -I was like Wow , so I turned around and decided to go around and try to get home from the other direction only to be stopped by police.
I told them I live within the perimeter - they said they couldn't let me in because they had an active Warrant at the moment -said if I went back around told the Deputy they might let me through. There were all kinds of Swat standing in my Neighbors yard - - ended up throwing a flash bomb in the house and took ram and busted door down - - YAZAAAAAA - WOO- - -WEE
Ended up 4 arrested- -The father and 2 sons - -who were 17 yrs old and another. - Charged with Marijuana -- Opiates , Fentanyl Drug Para , - -Cocaine - one of the 17 yrs old was charged with 30 kilo's - -well that breaks down to 60 pounds as a kilo is 2.205 pounds - -quite a bit of Cocaine , Charged with Sales and distribution -
So see fun - -fun - -BUT for me , this is almost a daily occurrence. -If it's not something like this - - then it's drive Bys - -we are surrounded o all 4 sides by gangs. - -We have had the Bloods walking down the street 4 abroad in the middle of the day just to show colors - -letting the neighborhood they were there - -that's always exciting. - If it's not any of that - -I'm tellin ya seen it al- - seen Hookers walking down the street all times of night - -seen naked women that is so stoned they have no idea what's going on -All kinds of fun - -So you get bored come see me - -FUN TIMES lol

Well it's good to see that Jalen has rturned to practice at least even if it is on a limited basis - more hope that he will return at some point this season hopefully

These last two weeks are why I was imploring everyone to keep perspective. This team could finish 8-4 or 5-7. Either way we should be ecstatic about what LL achieved this season.
We return almost this whole damn roster next year too. Another year in the weight room. Another year in the transfer portal. Another season with JD6 behind basically this same offensive line. We are basically bringing back a top 10 offense in the country next season providing the staff is able to keep everyone here.
What I am personally looking for the rest of the season is simple. Continue showing that we can score with/against anyone. Tighten up on penalties a bit. I'd love to see some improved tackling as the season goes on. And then just avoid a blow out. I think we'll find one more win to get bowl eligible if we keep the last 5 games tight.
I'm just so ecstatic about where this program is at right now. Keep in mind that we are building towards something still and that this one season isn't going to make or break that. We are in a very good spot going into 2023 with big things happening for KU Football. If I was going to be in the new B12 going forward, I would be a bit worried by what is going on in Lawrence...
I agree . I mean think about it, at the beginning of the Season everyone was think hoping that if we could get 3 maybe 4 wins tops BOY what a great Season , then now we are at 5 wins and some people greedy for more this Season. -- I mean if we don't win anymore , we have already made that progress. - -True Our defense still has light years of work to do - - Offensively we have shown for the most part that we will move the ball and put plenty of points on the board.
You have to realize the law of averages starting to catch up with us for this point of our rebuild. -- 1st we lose our stud running back out for the Season - - then 2nd w lose our Starting QB - & then 3rd we lose our starting back Bryant. Like our ol boy said in the past - - still makes sense - -just got to keep sawing wood - some think the now the sky is falling - - it's not

With a healthy Jalon Daniels, every game left is a winnable game for KU. Without Daniels, Texas Tech is probably the most winnable game. That doesn't mean I think KU wins every game with Daniels back, but they're capable of winning every game.
After watching Baylor the other day against West Virginia I think they are also possible winnable - -not saying it will happen but West Virginia rushed the tires of their defense - the same West Virginia team that really didn't run the ball exceptionally well against us. - Again NOT saying we will - - saying we can - -and agree Texas Tech is als winnable
Well Can't really blame a lot of this on Bean and the offense. We put 42 points on the Board , SURE Bean threw a couple of interceptions but he wasn't the reason we lost. - -We lost because of the defensive side of the ball - -You put 42 points on the board a team should win the game 95-100. - you can try and twist this any way you want but when a team goes like 16 or 17 out of 20 on third downs against you - -thats not getting it done - Our defense has a long ways to go
We bettr come up with different plan on defense 2nd half. - -maybe more blitz. - -Oklahoma is worst at protecting QB given up 15 sacks -KU is tied for the lead in Sacks something needs to give

No they haven't come close to testing their run defense - 12 times in a half ain't squat especially when your playing against the worst run defense in the big 12 who is over 65 yards per game worse then any othr team in the league. - as a matter of fact they are like ranked 122nd out of 131- you have to legit test that kind of run defense more then that

With the game tomorrow seen these few stats found interesting. - - , things to keep in mind see if they show up. - - KU 72nd in the Nation defensively - not really something to thump your chest about but, better then it has been. KU is 3rd in the Big 12 in rushing the ball at 216 yards per game. - - OU is dead last in the Big 12 against the run , they give up 65 yards more then any other Big 12 team defense against the run average giving up 207 yards per game .
OU - -2nd worst in the Big 12 in giving up sacks on their QB. - - - KU tied for league lead in Sacking opposing QB's. - - KU still scoring 38.8 per
Big question , Will we see the Good Jason Bean that showed in the 2nd half last week and came close to beating that Sooner ass last year - -- OR will we see the inconsistent Bean we saw several times last year ?
