See I'm some what confused , surprising I know lol. See when we were recruiting Rice I heard and read a lot about people not even knowing if Rice would even play in a college game , saying probably just go play some form of pro instead of College. After he committed to KU, again had people worried and saying they would believe it when they see it about him actually showing up.
Then I hear all about Grady wand I have seen how good Grady is , the I see people's what they believe would be their starting 5 this coming year , and I read some talking about Mj and limited minutes .Now I'm not complaining or bitching but I'm just thinking , why is it so hard for people to project Rice not having a bigger impact and struggling to get meaningful minutes . I mysel am saying it's going to be hard - - very hard - -if almost not impossible to keep MJ off the floor even in his freshman yr if he is what he has been projected as and I'm just confused and taking nothing away from Grady - -just confused some who is better Grady or MJ - -both rated high it's just MJ looks to me seems to bring it all. We tried with some OL but one went to Tennessee, one to USC, one stayed in JuCo, one flipped to Oregon State, and another might also go back to JuCo. So itâs been a crap shoot.

Well coming to the realization -- no matter who the Coach is, bottom line is in recruiting for us at this point boils down to wins/on field performance / .Ku has done decent in recruiting mainly portal but now were kinda caught between a rock and a hard spot.
Thing is it's going to come down to wins and progress to be able to attract more players in recruiting Coach has done well , but now we have to show, get some interest or more interest to these kids that might be on the ledge trying to decide between KU & another school on where they are going to land .Be even more competitive.
We have lost more then our share of in state players to that other school / Iowa State- -w have to make in roads gets these schools respect back. Our previous staffs have really damaged our relationships with a lot of in state schools and recruits - Time to take that next step
Ok guys, I know how you all feel about the Yankees, I get that and your entitled to your opinion, I have no problem with that at all . However I don't care one thing you can't deny wouldn't matter who these guys played for you don't have a leg to stand on trying to deny what they have done s a group no matter where they were to play. these stats are just insane.
Over the last four games the Yankee pitching has given up ONE RUN - - - ONE ! ! ! and they have given up grand total of 10 hits over that four game span, that's just unheard of. coming close to back to back no hitters. - -Severino - -4-1 - and a 2.95 ERA - - - Cole - -5-1- -and a 2.78 ERA - - -Cortes - -5-1 - -and a 1.50 ERA - - And Tailion - - 6-1 and a 2.30 ERA pretty dam impressive by this group whether it is with the Yankees or Joe Blow's comedy team.
Yankees have 79 home runs at this point. The average for a major league team at this point of the season is 53. - -They have 44 solo home runs which is more then 7 major league teams for total home runs Then this : Detroit has a total of 30 home runs for the Season - - Judge & Rizzo have 334 between the two of them more then the entire Detroit team lol.
Again I know how you feel about the Yankees that's ok I don't care and no problems with that - but don't care either cause the stats don't lie - whether they were playing for NY or whoever pretty dam impressive - -they ar now 38 - -15 on the year - -I'll take it
I beleive in next years team. I also have reason for concern about next years team at least probably for non con. The Reason ? - I have yet to see anyone convince me about scoring droughts ? - -Scorers , PROVEN SCORER'S
This team is going to b really inexperienced for awhile , I just think we are going to take some lumps. - -Were gonna look ugly , really ugly at times early. I mean who is going to take over score the ball for us ? you can't try and defend by saying Dick or Rice - -any of the Freshmen to be that scorer. Big difference between High School and P-5. Alot of those moves you got away with in High School - -some of those shots - -they aren't gonna work in College, as you got players just as good to defend those moves - -those shots.
I think sure Jalen - ya Jalen will score but even him how is he gonna be on a consistent basis ? - he isn't gonna be no mean star monster scorer. Jalen has shown from the past he might score 15-16 one game and then might be 10 the next time. Is Jalen a guy that's a Alpha? - is he gonna step up and take that key shot late in a crucial game ? - I don't think at this point that Jalen is that type of player. - Jalen is a good player but Is Jalen a take charge player ? Jalen is a very good complimentory player. Do we even have that type of player on this team ? - -Lot of questions to be answered.
Other then Jalen , who can we look to for that production ? I just don't think we can count on the freshmen for that. In most cases unless they are a proven one an done like top 5-10 range they gonna hit that wall sometime.
Were gonna be good defensively - -I think we got a chance to be REAL GOOD defensively. I just think Offensively - -were gonna look like we going through mud some times bog down. I hope I'm wrong but I just think that Scoring is going to be a big issue for some time hope I'm wrong. Would be great to come out and be hitting on all cylinders from the gt go. - -I do not think this is a top five team at the beginning , more like possibly a 8 or 9 - just so many qustion marks

I will say... Juan has several offensive tools that are quality and will help his stat line; he's actually a good finisher at the rim, and his open-court scoring is good (especially helpful when he steals passes), and he has a very soft touch at midrange. There is no reason why he can't lift his numbers a bit from trey and become a more consistent scorer from distance. I wish people would stop bagging on him. He's earned every bit of that championship ring on his finger and will bring his winning formula back to KU to try to do it again!
It would be sick if Mosley comes and we all get the benefit synergy created off their relationship! Absolutely sick!

Excellent post. We don't need 15 a game from Juan- but I'll bet we get 10. Juan does so much more than score- setting up the offense, hitting guys in their spots, playing tenacious on ball defense, etc. The value is immeasurable.

Bobby has a very nice career here at KU in front of him .He more likely then not will be the main back up to Juan, and yes Juan make no mistake about it IS the starting PG , - -has been - - will be , yet Bobby is going to get plenty of minutes of PT & he will be a big factor at some crucial times during the year. -Bobby got game make no mistake , and if he hadn't got hurt his contribution would of been much more this previous year - - so for some of you - - rest easy Bobby is here to stay

You won't be able to explain how a vaccinated country can have hospitals full of vaccinated patients with Covid and death rates from Covid that are higher than lower vaccinated countries without reaching the conclusion that the mrna vaccines don't work. The virus simply mutates and the vaccine is powerless to stop the mutated virus. I have hundreds of articles that prove this. I was one of the lucky ones- I was pressured, cajoled, urged incessantly to get vaccinated, and I basically said I wanted to wait until I had more information. So, I waited and started reading about all the heart problems associated with the vaccine, and I'm glad I waited. For a guy like me who has had numerous heart attacks, it probably saved my life to not take the plunge. I don't fault anybody if they got vaccinated, but I would strongly urge if you are vaccinated to supplement your regular vitamin intake with Vitamin C and D, Iodine, and Zinc to guard against mutated forms of the Covid virus. That will help your immune system to fight off the mutations.
I feel sorry for you buddy. A heart is nothing to mess around with- -hope you don't have anymore. -I think should for sure b up to the individual , not pressured int. I just got out of a nursing home for re-hab and had multiple nurses say it SHOULD be freedom of Choice and how just be vaccinated doesn't cure you from b or getting Covid. - If your concerned about the heart issues that might go along with the ?Vaccine for you then hell ya I know I wouldn't. Again one heart - - one life. - -I'm not going to judge or condemn people who get the shots - -and sure not going to for not getting them. - I haven't got the shot and no plans too. Still looking for more info.
The shot for me is like some of the things you brought up , to me have always gotten a kick out of when a Dr prescribes a med for something you have - -then you start reading the side effects from taking tht med- -they list about 15 possible side effects from taking it.- So you think -welp got rid of whatever BUT now I've got all kinds of issues from taking the med.
I'm no genius about this - - don't claim to be. Botom line for me is it's all about Choice. Very easily might be the wrong decision for me and I might STILL ger the shot as they are calling for yet another surge this fall and Winter. I guess what I'm trying to say bud is You - - -do You. If you want more info then dammit wait for that info - don't let anyone pressure you into something your not 100 % confident in. - -I'm not saying right or wrong. but you got to make what you feel is your best choice. Chances are I'll probably more then not end up getting the shot because of my wife ,BUT not because some Joe trying to pressure me into it Hang in there Buddy & ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG

Well just thought I would let you all know, if you hadn't noticed been gone for two weeks Had an extended period of time in the hospital , this dang back - - my 4th Surgery, My Surgeon said now he can't go any higher on my spine.
The whole thing was a long process had to del with this for almost 8 months before had surgery - -lot of pain. . Long story short had it done on the 12th of May , was suppose to be right at an 3 hour surgery , but when they got in found out a lot more then they had planned on ended up taking like 6 1/2 hours for them to complete surgery. Dr said my L-1 was really loose & he couldn't ignore that. Put in more titanium Screws - - - had to phuse again and put another spacer on my right side - -yippee. - -Dr said I had a cracked spine , but now over.
Had to spend another week in Re-Hab - -they said I'm doing really good with getting up and down in and out of bed and walking and such - -just a long road back. - just wanted to say really glad to get back. Missed all the Guys and Gals. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
OK, so another question for the guys in the know for THIS GUY lol ( me ) - -This Courtney Ramey thing / whisper - -Is there any substance to this at all , or just a bunch of restless ol guys finding ways to try and stir the pot ? I mean where did this come from? Reputable ? Solid ? - -OR just a bunch of hear say about the possibility.

I know I've said this before but gonna say it again. I think without a doubt that KU has finally gotten THE Coach w have needed for so long. - It's just that every time I listen to the guy, just seems so self confident an really has THAT plan that we need making sure along the line that we as fans realize we have a long way to go - -BUT we are getting better.
The guy just ooozes class , I think he has a very competent staff and all seem very sincere in their job and how they are handling the guys and have these guys that we CAN be a very competitive team. They have these guys believing in their selves and that right there is half the battle.
I dunno maybe I'm just so starved for a respectable team that I'm grasping at straws - -just seems to me that there is THAT LIGHT that has been absent for such a very long time and Coach L has THAT LIGHT in his hand. - -maybe just me but that's my take. I for one am stoked
