As it boils down to the same amount of Level one - which is 5. - -I think Townsend WILL be hit with show cause and if not the same amount then just a little less, he will be lucky to retain his job, as I think the University it'self when this is said and done will let him go if nothing else to try and make themselves look better.
I fully believe the NCAA/IARP is looking to make an example of the BIG FISH in this case ( KU ) to put fear in the other Schools to show them they mean business on violations - -I think it's bullshit but the NCAA has had it in for KU for some time, -with the IARP and them together they want KU to pay well the NCAA does. - I can see probation multiple years maybe 2 and I also think Coach Self will get show cause just like Gottfried. - -Either way I think we will find out something before to much longer. I guess these cases were handed over to the IARP and in order it was NC State - -then Memphis -- Then KU after that so it could be not to much longer. hoping for the best

Well read where NC State received their punishment from the ( IARP ) . This is the 1st ruling from the ( IARP ). North Carolina State received a One year probation , but no ban from post Season as a result of the findings. This comes from 2 Level one Violations. Arizona , KU , Louisville , LSU & Memphis still awaiting findings.

our defense is killing us . It's not just Dave on the defensive end either the whole dam team sucks. In the end our defense can be our undoing this yr. Ya Dave has been stinking it up for most the year on the offensive end , but we have scorers that can overcome that for the most part - -exp Oachi - - Braun - - Jalen - -others that can help. Our defense is killing us , way to many straight line drives , getting beat off the dribble drive to the hole.
This happens it seems every dam year we have a lot of trouble defending the perimeter . Seems like I dunno teams get a lot of wide open 3's players almost making have hearted efforts to defend the three. When I heard we are DEAD LAST in the big 12 defensively just thought WTH ? - -Bill has always wanted that tough defensive effort , right now were not defending anybody. He made several Pat like plays last night, plays that are so difficult but he makes them look easy.
Despite giving significant number of yards, credit goes to D for making key stops at critical moments in the game saving valuable, game saving points while missing 3 key starters.

Very bad. Without power for 7 hours here, imagine it was even worse in more rural areas (I am rural but still close enough to Topeka). Heard Topeka and Emporia had power outages as well. Heard about a fire in Hays. Had bad smoke smell here, but that couldn't have been from Hays, too far.
ya we had some power outages here in Topeka , we was lucky our power went out but came right back on after a couple of minutes here at the house. - -Crazy thing was Every Electric kept sending me texts talking about how they knew we was with out power and was working on it , then they would update and apologize for it taking longer then expected to get it back on , then they would text and say power had been restored - then later they would text again and say they were aware that power was out at and give my address again just over and over and over my last text I got was at like 4:30 this morning and the thing was our power Never was out other then just that short flicker lol.

I was listening to some snipits of one of his conferences from today and he was trying to break things down for the everyday clown like myself so I can understand even on my level lol.
He was talking about when he got here about how unbalanced we were at certain positions depth wise , saying it wasn't that the kids didn't have the talent but just way off center in some positions depth wise how they are trying to get that straightened out He was talking about how he thought that we ar actually in a position where we could be at our 85 max Scoli limit even yet in 2022 , with additional commits in Feb , and how the deck had been so stack against us pointing out as an example with the K/State game, taling about starts. - -How many starts our boys had compared to their kids starts. - talking about we were at about half MAYBE 60 %.
He was talking about how the portal has changed the whole recruitng - the way you approach , whole different landscape as he was ask if he thought we would be bringing in any more High School kids this cycle he said posibly maybe a few but with the portal and guys that can bring exprience to spots that need taken care of for depth changes things.
I don't know I just think the guy oooze class , like a 1st class guy/act. - I think and have said before we have our Coach to get this done. Hitting around the Topeka area 91 MPH wind reported not that far - lots of 80 MPH had some tornado warnings like close to Manhattan and some other area's portions of I-70 shut down because of dust storms and tipped over tractor trailers just not a good day
Think Coach L and staff has done a good job finding guys to come , we have gotten some pretty dam good transfers Gervin ( Michigan State ) - - - Morrison ( Nebraska ) - - - Gorczyca ( Buffalo ) - -Young ( Ohio St ) - -Gilyard ( Central Florida ) - -these guys are guys that can help instantly giving depth - -our secondary could be pretty salty. - Still hearing lots of rumblings that Prunty is coming back quite possibly
Picked up a pretty decent QB I think Vasko. Read in the article where it said the reason he might not of had a lot of other offers was because they had a lot of covid restrictions - -all in all think we gonna be fine. Love how he is starting to make connections with more Kansas kids true they might not be big time but were getting in the door something previous staff refused to do burnt a lot of bridges but PWO'S for Kael Frakes from Lenexa & Grant Glasgow out of Lawrence.
Think we also got a sweet pick up in Kaleb Purdy - had offers from Iowa St - - K/State - - Michigan - - & Missouri to name some - -still got othes possible come Feb so I'm jacked lol

Well we made the final 5 for 6'1 point guard Jeremy Fears # 27 in the Nation. Other Schools Michigan , Michigan State Illinois U Conn & KU
True Silvio screwed up here, never really fit in as making poor decisions. Yet glad to se he is doing well now. Playing for Chattanooga & they are 9-1 - Silvio averaging 13.4 ppg & 6.6 rebounds that's a very solid line hope it turns out well for him - after all he was part of Jayhawk Nation - - -Who knows they may just get an invite to the Big Dance
Read today where KU/ Indiana starting a home and home next yr. - We get the 1st game here at the phog, always good to get new blood on the schedule

I realize that... I guess what I was trying to say is, what if he doesn't get better? Hard to believe that he could play as lousy as he has been, all season. But I mean, if he doesn't start playing better soon?
Wilson just needs to find a way to get the lid off the basket. His shooting woes are why he's where he is because 33% FG, 7% from 3, 35% from the line isn't cutting it.
I'll say this bluntly, he's a lazy shooter and the numbers back it up. He should be a better shooter but we've yet to see it.
I agree with you I really do, I just don't understand as he was quite a bit better in all phases in his shooting lat yr. - his Ft % is terrible. - he wasn't that bad last yr, I think maybe like 68 % somewhere in that area last yr - -better 3 pathetic this yr what's happened?
His overall numbers last year weren't good either, 41% FG, 31% from 3, 63% from the line. I dug even further into this. From the end of January to the end of the season Jalen was 46/117 from the field (39%) including 9 games of 33% shooting or less during that stretch.
So far he's struggled even more shooting the ball and that's a byproduct of his poor decision before the season started. He's pressed since coming back and probably has struggled coming off the bench. Self thinks the light is going to come on for him but its a waiting game so far. If he doesn't find some efficiency in his game I don't see a reason for him even playing the role he currently has.
Ya really poor numbers for sure , but even worse this year. - He was a good rebounds for us last year but just seems to be really pressing. We need him always a need for another scorer, cause you know and I know there WILL come a time CB and Oach both or one is just gonna be off , that's where we need him and Remy both to pick it up. You have mention in other threads/posts that after this yr you think Jalen is gone no matter what - I beleive that also. Let's just hope he gets his act together.

How good does it feel to have a competent Coaching staff that knows what the hell they are doing ? - A staff that reconizes the pieces they need and go out and answers those needs. Farmer were on the verge - -were on the verge not saying were there but Buddy were coming and coming fast.

It's going to be a great conference season this year! And with the bottom of our league still being legit... the key will be to not lose to a trap game. Consistent play will be a huge plus this year and in that area I feel like we have an advantage because we have an experienced team with pretty good ball skills. Our TOs seem to stay within reason. Rebounding okay. Steals good. We are a team that does good on the possession chart.
I'm not even looking at a cumulative stat sheet. Just based on what I witnessed. I also like how we finish out on many steals.
This team should still continue to play slightly faster. I hope Jalen's game comes around and he helps speed us up. We should become masters at scoring off of secondary breaks. Tons of open treys!
Baylor is going to challenge us a lot more moving forward, every year! Drew has really put it together and his basketball environment may be the best in college basketball today.
your right Jalen has to come around just like the announcers keep saying , they say Once Wilson comes around BUT we also are going to need more for Remy he hasn't really turned it up yet either. - I realize trying to fit in - -trying to do what Bill asaks BUT even Coach ha said Remy might be over thinking - we get those two on the same page then we gonna be that much better for sure.
I realize he is trying to get the ball to team mates to score but he is passing up some good looks - - looks when he is in the lane kicking out giving up 7 footer for 20 footers we need these two to help carry the load we need their help down the line somewhere 4 Scoreres are better then two - -just logic . we get both them averaging around 10 a game - -wee gonna be fine.

I realize that... I guess what I was trying to say is, what if he doesn't get better? Hard to believe that he could play as lousy as he has been, all season. But I mean, if he doesn't start playing better soon?
Wilson just needs to find a way to get the lid off the basket. His shooting woes are why he's where he is because 33% FG, 7% from 3, 35% from the line isn't cutting it.
I'll say this bluntly, he's a lazy shooter and the numbers back it up. He should be a better shooter but we've yet to see it.
I agree with you I really do, I just don't understand as he was quite a bit better in all phases in his shooting lat yr. - his Ft % is terrible. - he wasn't that bad last yr, I think maybe like 68 % somewhere in that area last yr - -bette 3 pathetic this yr what's happened?
