Not really KU sports guys but man - -still have to bow and give props to our Local young Lady from Topeka. - -NJaree Canady. - WOW wht an amazing young Lady.
Freshman for Stanford University -what a world series - just her luck having to come up with what quite possibly might be the best softball team ever Oklahoma. - -Think they won 50 in a row and overall record somewhere like 58-1 ?
Doesn't take away what this young Lady has accomplished so far. in her appearances in the world series faced Oklahoma twice - -Really good Series. - pitch 17 innings , gave up 9 hits , gave up 3 runs and had 22 strikeouts. - - Had a 0.57 ERA for the Season - -Awesome young Lady.
Some of her history : 2 time Softball Gator aide Kansas player of the year , The number 11 ranked player in the Nation ,
Had a 0.26 ERA her Junior yr in High School -- had 232 Strikeouts over 107.2 innings of work - - 0.82 ERA her Senior Yr - -163 Strikeouts over 74.2 innings had BA of 510.
Pitcher throws the ball right at 73 MPH which equates to about 93 MPH for a baseball. - -Just had to give our Local girl props hs a hell of a college future ahead -Good Luck Young Lady , your Awesome

The LB from Junction is an exception IMO. He’s a take no matter what since he’s just a DUDE. And super versatile.
OL is my biggest concern right now, especially since Joey Baker retired and we just lost a couple targets. Might have to do some heavy lifting in the portal there.

Some information from Big 12 AD'S said they believe when everything tallied up Big 1 Schools will be getting close to 50 Mil. -- by the time you add football playoff - NCAA tourney and other the new media contract should be pushing close to 50 Mil per school.
I know some people here have said NO to adding Gonzaga as a School for Basketball they bringing nothing - BUT like Dodds said if the Big 12 ends up with like KU , Baylor , Arizona , And Gonzaga and others they could always break off and have their own separate Basketball media deal-- Don't see why not - what a Basketball Conference mercy

I know for a fact because I have this myself, sometimes worse then others and that's called Rosacea. Article from Sports Illustrated yesterday. - -Big 21 and Yormark still in Discussions with Gonzaga, Yormark and other league officials continue discussions with the Zags as well a Gonzaga consulting firm. Yormark also targeting U Conn and having dominant hoop programs on either Coast.
Big 12 meetings this week in WV starting Wedns through Friday will be to focus on Yormarks desire to expand the League to many s 16 teams. Also has been some talks about other possible teams San Diego State and UNLV these teams Gonzaga and others are also possibly contingent on rather or how many teams would joining the big 12 from the Pac 12. - -Things getting interesting

Colorado and the Big 12 have met face to face involved in consistent talks over a period of Several months. Berry Trammel from the Oklahoma insider reported Trammel said coming out of Fiesta Summit in Scottsdale that Colorado is ready to join the Big 12 Soon. The broad scheme of things with this - -between this portal and NIL - -it's ruined the game of Amateur College Basketball. All the College game is becoming is farm system for the NBA - -getting paid just like minor league in other sports.
They pointed out with this portal during the last three cyles - -2020 - -2021 - -2022 KU has signed 12 High Schools kids. Out of those twelve 7 have transferred out after their 1st season , 3 others have transferred out after their 2nd season - -only KJ Adams remains out of those three cyles - -Why even recruit HS Kids at all anymore? - -these kids gonna get to the point they will avoid Schools like ourselves because of things like this. - One year w gonna keep playing rwith fire with this portal and gonna come up empty and no High Schools kids to fall back on-- not good

You see Farmer , this is exactly what I've been talking about. -The quality of Athlete this Coaching staff is now bringing in to Ku. is just night and day from a decade ago. They do a great job of getting these kids to believe or to buy into what Coach is doing here, and they can be /play a big part of the turnaround.
The overall quality player , more athletic - - higher ranked players - - This as you know is a big get for our team, kid is a Stud. but the names of the teams we beat out for this guy speaks for it' self to what I've been saying. -- We locked up against : Arizona State , K/State , Texas , Washington &Iowa St to name a few - -and we came in 1st. - - Love this Staff

This kind of has me wondering, I thought we were pretty well done with High Schools recruits for 2024 aren't we ? - - Read where Chase McCarthy a 2024 - -4* is coming to KU on an Official Jun 5th. - -Usually a kid won't waste an Official visit unless thee is some pretty decent mutual interest. If the kid knows that were pretty much done, I sure wouldn't think he would waste the visit.
2 way Wing , Long Arms , good strength , very good defender , great finisher on the offensive end - Has had 2 other Official visits - - -Houston & Ole Miss - - ranked presently as the # 65 recruit , just kind of puzzling to me. - Why if there is no interest ? I know there are people here that say - -Well sometimes it the Kid is the one interested in the School -- Not the School interested in the kid.
