@jayballer67 To me it's cool if you want to continue to be a fan and pull for him off the court and not associate or like him off the court, but I don't think it's silly or childish for someone else to say they might rethink going to games, giving their money to a program actively lifting up a player in a situation like this.
Feel like this is a big to each his own kind of deal. Everyone has their own personal connection to issues like this so for me I'm gonna do my best not to judge others on their takes here. The only take I have a real problem with is if someone were to say it isn't a big deal and shouldn't even be considered but I haven't seen any of that going around.
Oh it is a very big deal , I'll pull for him on the ourt for sure --yet doesn't mean I have to deal with it off the court. I've got my own problems to worry about- - kinda like the phrase - -let ye who is sinless - - Cast the 1st stone.- -but as long as he is in a KU uniform and on the floor - - -I'm pulling for him , put my trust in Coach Self I'm pretty sure he knows what he is doing -so I'll let him do it

just silly - -childish , like that's really going to hurt KU and the School - I'm still going & I'm still pulling for whoever is on the court for us.
I'm not gonna rant - -rave - -boo-- -scream - -or any of that crap at Arterio - -I WILL YELL - -HOLLER CHEER AND CLAP for him when he makes good plays he wearing Crimson & blue uniform - -dam straight I'm gonna cheer for him as well as everyone else that steps onto that floor for KU -I'll just sit back and let the Judicial system take care of the rest - it's called a legal system that's what it's there for - -to provide justice. @BShark I really think the KJ/Marcus combo is going to be just fine. KJ did average almost 11 a game last season... How often do players take a major step back scoring?
Your moving KJ a lot further out on the court -he not gonna be just getting lobs or little bank shots. He is going to have to develop some kind of mid range jumper to play a four, and at this point -- He doesn't have it. Sure he took a few outside J's last year with luke warm success at best, unless he works really hard , bust his ass in the off season I can't see how he can possibly play an effective 4. -His scoring at this point with his current shot he will not be able to get it done - Defense will back off him until he can prove he is capable of dropping the outside J. -We better hope we have better answer
If KU lands Dickinson, KJ will be fine offensively because Dickinson can step out and hit 3's and you could basically run Dickinson as the 4 and KJ at the 5 on offense because Dickinson does have 3 point range.
If KU doesn't land Dickinson and Self has to go with a combination of KJ/Udeh/Ejiofor at the 4/5 spots, we'll probably see some sets we haven't seen out of Self in years including quite a bit of hi/lo action. I would look at what sets the 2008 team ran when Russell Robinson and Darrell Arthur were in the the game because Robinson was a pass first PG like Harris amd Arthur only took 12 3's all season.
That is probably what w will do run hi /low cause it's looking a lot less all the time we are getting Hunter. - I saw now where the staff has reached out to the FSU transfer 7'4 & 255 -- , were reaching out to a lot of other 5's I could see a back up - -but with them reaching out to so many makes me feel Hunters ship has sailed- - put to all the contacts they are making on top of Bill's un-scheduled visit again to Hunter, making you think they know things are shaky on that front.

Well, at least one fan agrees with you. I don't understand this, not only from an optics perspective, but also in terms of talent and fit. Put aside the personal stuff. Exactly what did he show at UT which suggests he should be a Jayhawk? As down as I've been on Spears, I would have taken him over Morris (although alternatives would have been my preference). I assume the Spears visit is now a waste of time? We don't need a 5th (or 6th if you include Cluffe) 6-4 guard or smaller. I thought HCBS said we needed some size and athleticism, in addition to someone who could make treys?

Definitely but freshman don't move the needle if your trying to win championships. If he was the lone guy brought into start then fine but that's not the situation we have. I don't want anymore freshman unless we are replacing Johnson and or McDowell at this point.

Think Prime time is really screwing up big for future , there are going to be potential future recruits gonna look at what's took place and say this guy is a Whack job.
So understand that people say that Colorado was terrible their roster but still going off the deep end is not the answer. Last I knew they had EIGHTEEN returning scholi players
Some bizarre examples : - This is one , you tell the player who was top receiver on the tteam last year , WR Jordyn Tyson he needed to transfer, Jordyn led the team in receiving yards last Season & Most Touchdowns. -and Prime wanted him out.
Prime told TE Zachery Courtney he wanted him out , transfer- - and yet when Zachery wanted some of his film to be able to show his high lights , Prime Time would not allow him access to his practice film so other possible landing spots could see his work.
Now Prime time even has players that played for him at Jackson State * transferred and followed him to Colorado - -He has former Jackson State players that came behind him even THEY are Transferring out of Colorado - Like the publisher said that this feels like more of a potential RED FLAG- -I think Prime Time has no clue what the hell-- this AFTER he told Colorado players that he was brining his players - now they transferring out
Colorado last year might have actually been worse than our any of our 2015-2017 teams. Other than their OT win against Cal, they only played 1 other game within 25 points of the other team. Colorado last year was historically bad.
I don't blame Deion from running those players off with the portal as a way to rebuild depth quickly now. Who cares if he ran off their best receiver last season, Jordyn Tyson had 22 catches for 470 yards and 4 TD's last season and that was their leading receiver. Travis Hunter probably tops all three of those numbers by the midpoint of next season and probably tops the receptions number by game 3 and the TD's by game 4.
Will Colorado make a bowl game this season? Probably not. Will they be within 25 points of their opponents more than twice this season? Absolutely. Will they win more than 1 game next season? Yes.
Again , like the publisher said - - When you are getting players that followed you from Jackson State that you wanted - - NOW they are leaving you too - -More a RED SIGNAL SIGN then any thing else - -really bad look
Those players are finding out that with a move to a P5 school, there's higher expectations than at an FCS school and Deion isn't keeping players who don't meet that expectation. Deion's job is to win football games for Colorado now, and if players chose to follow him from JSU to CU and weren't good enough, he's not lowering tge bar because that's how Colorado got to be 2015-2017 Kansas levels of bad last season under the old staff.
I'm glad it doesn't effect me or any of KU players or any association. What i do KNOW is that if you believe a player isn't that P-5 player caliber as you said Then Prime shouldn't be telling those same players to follow him to so stated P-5 school.
I mean if Sanders is any kind of Coach at all then he has evaluated those same players and has seen them play and or watch them practice - -if anyone knows whether they are cut out for the step up - HE SHOULD BE THE ONE to know. You don't tell players to follow you from one scholl to another if you don't think they are good enough to make the transition- - that's just so wrong in so many ways. you saying he is not keeping players , that don't meet those expectations - who the hell should know if they will be able to mee those expectations ?- - --SANDERS IS . - just insane

I said it before, but unless KU was seriously interested in Morris they wouldn't have ever had him on campus. You don't let that PR nightmare on campus unless you basically want and need him.
I expect him to announce he's a Jayhawk on Friday. Expectations from Bill and Goff should be simple. He has to be a model citizen while he's here and anything short of that will be unacceptable.
From a basketball perspective, Morris is a future NBA player and I low key think he could potentially be the best player on the team next year even if they landed Dickinson. Obviously would need to progress quite a bit, but he has every tool you could want from a player. Dribble, pass, shoot, shifty, explosive, etc. Guy can do it all. If UT isn't incredibly loaded, he gets a ton more minutes. Probably plays 25mpg at 99% of schools last year.
I agree with you for sure as far sa from the basketball standpoint goes. He is a talent , and could help for sure BUT also like you say there HAS TO BE stipulations with this. - KU can not afford anymore negative pub as far as playes go - Yet I feel your right - -I think he will commit to KU Friday
