KU is going to run the race with Todd but I think the chances of getting him are slim. Plan A is to get at least 2/5 of Dedric/Doke/Silvio/Hurt/Precious.

looking at those options I've got to say - - -I just don't see much of any way of the 1st three. - - Dedric will NOT be back period - - - Doke gains nothing from coming back mainly because him improving his draft status enough for the NBA is highly unlikely on top of the fact of risking of yet ANOTHER injury where it might risk any chance of the NBA period. - the only reason for him to come back would be to just get his degree - -plain and simple his chances in the NBA are - -NOT very good - -he NBA game is old school pretty much non exsistent he has NO shot unless he flushes , he is not the modern NBA 5. - - Silvio - - na - -he won't be back - - thanks - NCAA wasted his entire season - -I think he will end up with the train of Thought - - ( I'M Out and I wouldn't blame him one bit- - -pretty much waste of time for him - -and then when they finally rule good chance he is found ineligible anyways.

Just sittin here , looking and reading differn't things passing the day. At the present we seem focused on Quentin -Vick has had his share , but at the present more seems to be on Quentin. - -I've done my share - -now there are some and it's not here , they trying to compare KU freshmen to like Duke's freshman - -Kentucky's freshmen - and to me that's just not a fair comparison , seriously those freshmen are ranked where they are ranked for a reason - -they are going to try and compare these guys to Zion? - -RJ ? - -there is no fair comparison to that.

Anyways got side tracked here - -but what I'm thinking is like has been said here , it has now gotten into Quentin's head - - - -it doesn't matter how good a kid is in high school , bottom line is it's still a huge step from being THE MAN , the Stud - - the go to guy on your high school team to transittion to a major P-5 team/college basketball no matter how good you are , it just takes time for some kids - -some longer then others to adjust. Kids find out that some of the things they used to be able to get away with in high school um they can't get away with in College - some of those moves - -crazy shots - -their athletism in high school over the others let them get away with some things - - not so in College.

I think with Quentin for an example he come out guns blazing right off the bat against Michigan State and possibly thought oh ya this is simple - -I got this. - Then he has a game where he misses an easy shot - -one shot turns into two - -three - then doubt starts to creep in , he starts forcing things which in turn starts effecting other phases of his game - -bad passes - -silly fouls - -he starts to over think things in stead of what he is best at - -just go out and play quit trying to overthink every phase - -just let it go - -Now at this point he is playing so cautious he is worthless - -playing to tenative - playing afraid of getting yanked out - -instead of free. - -Again just play son - -play free do what you do best - my thoughts on Quentin

Then also thinking you know we have people just wondering what the hell is wrong with this team - why aren't we just breezing through - why aren't we closing - -I've wondered that most of the season myself. - Just finally come to the conclussion we {KU ) - we are just not that type of team this year - -we don't have that idenity - -do we HAVE an idenity ? - -We just don't have that player -that true stud - -2 studs - -I mean Dedric is a stud but yet NOT a stud - -this is a team that's just not gonna blow anybody away - - we are a team that's going to have to bust ass - -night in - -night out - it's a challenge every game - it's just the way it is

Then I get to thinking - - we as KU fans have just really become so spoiled from our history of the past - -from our game - - -gotten to the point for alot of people that nothing but perfection is acceptable - these kids are under so much pressure they feel representing the unniversity of Kansas - -some of them such as Quentin and others have trouble -are these kids having fun? - I mean some of mentioned how they don't seem close as a team - -no high fives and such - -it has become more of a JOB then being able to have fun while your doing what you love to do , and that's play Basketball - it has to be hard being under such a microscope - they CAN'T have fun because of the expectations year in and year out - -we are just flat ass spoiled and think the world is coming to and end.

Then I sit back after all of this Quentin being in a major slump for most of the year - - Vick with his inconsistencies for most of the year - -with us losing our really true big time inside guy Doke for the year - -and what's really turning into a non exhistent bench - for production - -yet even with all this - -here we ( KU ) are at 16-3 on the year - - here we are siting at the top of the league tied for 1st and the chance of yet STILL ANOTHER conference championship and think to myself -Damm Butler - -chill the hell out - -just sit back - -take it in - -enjoy this season for what it is - -enjoy these kids while their here back the hell up off them and let them play - -These are our boys - they give what they can every time out - -whether they have good nights - -bad nights their STILL our boys - ride with them - it's gonna be ok. - I will bet anyone that there is at least 100 other schools if not more that would love to trade us places for what we got - -what we have accomplished - -I bet they would give anything to be 16-3 at this point of the year - - -we just got to chill out a bit we gonna be ok - -frustrated? - -sure but still ok. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@BeddieKU23 I think this is a game where KU will be in some serious trouble on the inside. - - I'm just really afraid Kentucky has great length over us on the interior mainly though numbers wise.

This is a game where I can see Dedric in for a long day, afraid Reid can pretty much have his way Dedric just not have the bulk to match up with Reid - I'm afraid it could be just a steady diet of Reid backing him down more or less bullying himself into Dedric - -Then you have PJ Washington - -who is going to match up with him? -Then you always have Richards for them a very legit rim protector I can just see Dedric trying to make some of the moves he makes and Richards just swatting them away like it was nothing with Dedric's vertical. - I just think we are gonna have major mis matches

I think Garret will match up on Herro - - - Dotson on Haggins - -and it will almost have to be D Lawson on Reid - - I guess then either Vick or Obaji on Keldon Johnson - just don't like the match ups - -who is going to guard PJ ? - - Grimes? - -lord help us.

I fully agree, surely he has enough sense to realize that he is just NOT ready now if he comes on like Gang busters and finishes these last what 12-13 league games and has a really good tourney then ya , but I just don't at this point see it happening.

who knows maybe this loss wasn't as bad as it looked. - -we have announcers saying that West Virginia isn't as bad as it has shown , you could see this coming a mile away had just got blown out - had KU coming in - we always play bad there it seems.

Then you look at the other games from the league today. - -TCU which blew this same West Virginia team out by 31 - -losers to K-State by 10. - - - Record wise anyways Texas you would have to say up set Oklahoma - Oklahoma 13- 4- - -Texas 10-7. -- Then you have Baylor beating Tech - -maybe the whole league sucks - -a bunch of average teams that no one is that much better or worse then the others - -just gonna beat one another up like last year we had some pretty good teams - -I don't know - -I all know we better be ready Monday - -Although I could easily see this teams losing - possible 4 more league games for sure - -and the way things are going right now -- Next Saturday - - Kentucky will kick our ass - the way they have been playing - -and then the way we play. - -Dedric gonna be in trouble, with match up - they got to many bigs send on out - -bring one in - -not good

KSU probably finishes 8 thru 10 this year in the B12. As @Texas-Hawk-10 said the Tech loss along with the Nebraska loss are disappointing. There is no reason this team should finish 6th in this conference. The ISU loss was expected and wasn't that bad. I watched it and we hung with them for almost 2 quarters, then couldnt hit open shots.

Well they won this game, yet not really extra pretty - -BUT a win is a win right? - -especially a road win.

Stats not to pleasant : - -BOYH teams shot only like right at 35 % - -3pt shooting was very dismal - KU was at like -- . 137 I believe - -& K-State was 0.95. - - We did win the boards pretty good , out rebounded them by 10 - -and took care of the ball better K-State had 6 more to's then we did 19-13.

Where we actually won the game was in the 2nd quarter - -21-9. - K-State is now 10-6 - -& 1-3 in the league. - -BUT hold onto your shorts NOW BAYLOR is next up -- oh boy fraid won't be pretty. - -Good job ladies

They have enormous short guy syndrome when it comes to KU. Probably worse than any grapes I know. Marsha is perfect for them, and plays up that aspect. I loooove seeing them this bad. The shit talk has been great. 0-3 in their league now, 7-8 overall. If they were in the valley, they'd probably make the tournament this year...

Yeah teddy's situation was odd however from what I saw last year on wv board he was told to explore other options and was suspended a bunch of times so I'm sure that didn't help his case. The offseason turnover is bizarre, certainly doesnt look like kids enjoyed playing for Marsha

You know my friends I realize it's only to games , 1 at home - - 1 on the road with Ochai . - -I mean the kid just seems so calm and in control , poised - -just seems like he is total control, even in Baylor's runs just seemed he just stayed the same attitude. Sure doesn't seem like he is a Freshman - -and one that was going to red shirt at that.

Just seems really poised. - -and plays a solid game all around. - -Seems like a very adequate defender [ [for sure has a solid shot from the perimeter on top of that I'm getting to really like when he is on the floor - -really like the four out and ONE big in - love the combination when he is on the floor.

With him & Garrett on the floor better defenders and they team just looks better. - -I dunno maybe wetting myself , getting to hyped with him on the floor I mean it's only two games - -BUT man the team to me anyways sure look a lot better with him on the floor , seems like the run - a lot more & they just look more fluid - probably just me but eh - you know. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
