@BShark OK, so bud - -now it seems like these guy's were found guilty right? - - just came on board and reading some comments. - -Sooo now my question is , we know that Coach Self is sitting Silvio -we know Coach said that until this was cleared up Coach will be holding Silvio out, Coach stated that they had been in contact/talking to the NCAA - -So my question now becomes:

They NOT the NCAA but these guys will be givin their sentence on like March 5th is what I thought I saw - - - So we sit Silvio till the NCAA is done with whatever now right? - -- So if it takes for them the entire season is done - - I mean Silvio sits until a decision is made I got that -- BUT - - - Could we red shirt Silvio this year while we wait OR does Silvio just transfer - -which that wouldn't make ANY sense - -still wouldn't be able to play - -OR - - does Silvio leave and try to start on working out individually and try to enter next years NBA draft - - - where do we go what does Silvio do from here? what do you all think? - - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Ya it sounds like the kid is in some trouble , sounds like he worked the woman over pretty good - -dragging her across the complex lot something like that with her screaming , kicking and such. You know just from reading what I've seen IF he holds a lot of stock in his own words , then I STILL think in the end JRE ends up here at KU. OK maybe some truth that Villanova makes that push or is - - yet as of this point still just 2 CB'S for them. I think the North Carolina talk has cooled some, although their fans are still bowing or trying to blow smoke up their own ass.

Their saying because of this FBI thing that there is NO WAY JRE can possibly end up at KU - - -saying FOR sure the NCAA is headed to Lawrence - -just no way he still comes here.

Yet I think like I said if JRE holds any truth to his words - -if he had ANY sincerity to them then he will be here bottom line.

I can't remember if it was 247 or Rivals caught up with him and talked about his recruitment and he was saying how cool it would be to play where his dad had played, that he knew how crazy the KU fans are thought that was cool. - - Talked about Mama going to KU I think - -talked about how neat it would be close enough he could be close to his friends and they would be able to come to some games. -To me - -if you add all these things up - -I spite of other things - -he still come to be a KU Jayhawk when it's all said and done.-- I have heard people - -again on the NC board they wer talking about how they were worried that in the end Mama would play to much of a role in this, I just think there are still to many factors in our favor -- I think JRE wants to make MaMa happy too. - -we shall see - - I don't see ANY FAT LADY warming her voice up - -hell I don't even see any fat lady in the building - - -- you got to believe my friends stay strong - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I have to agree with you to a point anyways - -these guys probably do know how things work BUT the only thing I belive is that when it is a tight race in the recruiting battle that things such as what is going on right now MIGHT be just enough to lure them away from us to another school. Well our boys had pretty solid night last night in their games , with Jo Jo leading the way of course. They had the following:

Jo Jo - - -32 points - - -10 rebounds - - & 3-5 from the 3 point line I would say pretty solid.

Marcus -- - - - 16 points - - -6 rebounds - - - -& 2-5 - - from the 3 point line

Wiggins -- - -- 19 points ---- - -3 rebounds -- - -& 2-4 from the 3 point line

Here is one thing , I have read and heard that some feel Wiggins has been a bust in the NBA. They were discussing this when they were also talking about a player - -can't remember his name that wa either holding out that played for Minnesota or he was wanted to be traded - - was wanting more money I believe. Anyways there were some that said they believed Wiggins was a bust but that Minnesota would not trade him , they were talking about him in this discussion.

So I guess my question is do you think Wiggins is a bust? - - I'm not sure if I would call him a bust but - - - -I do feel that he maybe hasn't played quite up to his hype - - - -I just think he ought to be able to rebound a little better - -and even score a little better I dunno what you all think?

@BeddieKU23 It's just crazy the way their recruiting has gone this season. Just landed another very solid player. - - look how things got handed to them and yet it seems if anything their class has only improved. - - Monster class. - heard on an interview about recruiting in cases like this with the NCAA they talked about actually how these kids 17-18 yr olds actually really don't even think about these kinds of situations that much. - -Makes me feel somewhat better about our recruiting.

your words about changing Coach Self's career is just what I was addressing and upping the timeline Matt Tait has a pretty solid piece on this check it out - -I have to agree with you - -only the thing I might differ on is he has mentioned about how he might would like to try and give the NBA a shot. - Like you say I think it just might change the timing of his timeline to what degree - -we just don't know

Read somewhere where a former NCAA guy that dealt with rules said actually doesn't think that in the end KU will get a whole lot handed to them. He said with as many big time schools 15-20 that is in this mess, he just doesn't think that the NCAA will do a lot- bottom line is do they REALLY wanna mess with what makes money for them? - If they were to penalize all these schools the NCAA tourney would take a major hit -it's just a dam mess

Guys I know some of you -- a lot of you might not agree on this , and that's ok but I've thought about this and Matt Tait made some good points about this. He thoughts were and I've wondered on this at times but I'm kind of worried and whether you agree or not - whether you like it or not - -it is a possibility , I think if your a realist and look at it objectively you have to at least say it's always a possibility.

That is ,with this FBI/Basketball scandal just makes you wonder like Matt said does this increase the chance of Coach Self making decision to leave to experiment with the pro game - and or retirement?

Looking at it this way: - Coach Self has not denied that he might like to dabble into Coaching in the NBA. - there has always been SOME talk about when Coach Pop from the Spurs decides to hang it up - -THAT might be the one NBA team that Coach Self would have some serious interest in. he has some connections there , look at it this way we know recruiting gets really tiring - - -Coach has even talked about things such as that. - - - If you look at it like with the Scandal , the tireless recruiting just all the Bs you put up with the rules and recruitment this scandal just might be enough for him to just say the heck with it. - -Check out Matt's article in the LJW pretty good piece - -at least I think , think he makes a valid argument. He also said Coach Self has mentioned he doesn't really wanna Coach late in his 60's - Matt talks about he has pretty much ALREADY obtained what a lot of College Coach's inspire to have: - - He has won a National title , -He is already in the Hall of fame , he for sure isn't hurting for money - -just read the article guys - -I can't really put it like Matt did - just makes some solid points.

ya good luck with those those are the ultimate. - They did a scan of my corrated arties in my neck came back pretty good - -forgot to mention that they told me I also have a heart mermur and that I have some blood flowing the wrong way into my heart but said nothing serious - -lmao - -also another issue is I have severe narrowing of the spine and say that it is closing on my spinal cord but say it may never close completely or ever do any damage. - -ultimate worst case scenario - - deading of the nerves which as we all know that would not be good

Thank you so much - -not getting any younger for sure - -but really AGE has nothing to do with it. an example of that is - -just to days ago received a phone call and a friend who was 38 yrs old - -driving down the road - - MASSIVE HEART ATTACK he reached over to a friend that was riding with him - -squeezed his wrist and said call 911 - -and was gone - - -jut crazy. - -Thanks for your thoughts appreciated for sure.
